Hey guys! IM SO SORRY THIS IS REALLY LATE! I got my phone and laptop taken away so i had no way to update. And recently, I failed two of my tests (I really tried!) so I'm going to start dedicating a bit more time to schoolwork, but that doesn't mean I won't continue to write. It'll just take a bit longer for new chapters. Also, school's out for winter break!! So more time for writing, schoolwork, and holidays too. Merry Christmas guys!

Ash P.O.V 

"Ash, are you okay? You keep on staring at the TV as if you're really interested in what this girl's going to do" Lillie said, startling me.

"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm good" I replied, scratching the back of my head.

As I was watching Serena's appeal round performance, all I could think about was how much she improved. She's come such a long way since the master class, and I'm really proud of her. I guess she decided to use her first pokemon, Delphox, which I guess evolved from a Braixen.

After the appeal round, it was time for the battling round to begin. Serena managed to make to this round, I mean, how could she not?

"And here's the first battle. Mary vs Jane" the host said. I honestly didn't really care, I was just waiting for Serena's battle.

Serena P.O.V

After a whole bunch of battles, it was finally my turn. I was kinda nervous, but I had faith in Delphox. We both have come a long way since I chose her, traveling with Ash, our first performance, the master class, and now the Grand Festival.

"Serena, Jake, its your turn to battle" said a manager.

Okay, time to win this thing. I start to head out to the battle field, and as I look out to the crowd, I see some people waving signs in support of me. I take my place as the host was explaining the rules.

"Hey Blondie! If I win, how about I take you out on a date? What do you say?" Jake said.

Huh?! Was this dude serious?!

"Umm, no thanks, sorry" I said, slightly feeling embarrassed. However I saw that he was kinda mad... oops.

Ash P.O.V

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? COME ON! THATS NOT A WAY TO ASK OUT A GIRL! COME ON SERENA, BEAT HIS ASS!!!!!" Mallow yelled at the TV, thinking it was gonna help.

It really bothered me, the thought of Serena going out with another guy, and the fact that he called her 'Blondie', like, who calls a girl, who you never met before, that?. I wanted to be that guy to call her nicknames like Sere and Blondie, take her on dates, hold her hand, and support her as her boyfriend. So when that dude asked her out, in a really awful way, it really got me mad. Which I guessed Lillie noticed.

"Mallow calm down, screaming at the TV isn't going to help. And Ash, you seem mad too, are you sure you're okay?" Lillie said, with Mallow mumbling 'yes it is' after.

"Yeah Ash, every since going to the beach, you've been acting strange. And now with the Grand Festival, you seem to be paying more attention to this Serena girl" Lana said, with concern in her voice.

"Don't worry guys, I'm fine. But trust me, when the thing that I told Mallow and Kiawe at the beach happens, you'll be one of the first to know" I said, hoping that reassured them.

"Umm, no thanks, sorry" I heard Serena say, putting my attention back to the TV. Yes! I quietly said, but thankfully no one heard due to Mallow's yelling.

"HAHAHA!!! THATS WHAT CHU GET BOI!!!" She yelled. Oh boy.

As I was watching Serena battle, I realized that she's one of the few people that didn't copy my battling style. She has her own, which is really amazing. I soon realized my face was heating up, but thankfully no one noticed. Soon her battle was over, with her winning.

~Time skip to the end of the Grand Festival~

Serena P.O.V

"And the winner of this year's Grand Festival is Serena Yvonne! Winning the title of Top Coordinator!" the host said.

"Yes! We did it guys! We won the Grand Festival!!!" I say, releasing my pokemon and hugging Delphox.

"Serena! Serena! Do you mind telling us what you plan to do next?" asked a reporter.

I thought about what Mallow asked me, and I finally made up my mind.

"Well, I plan to go to the Alola region, to introduce performances there. A fan of mine asked me, so here's my answer!" I replied, with a smile on my face.
