Ash P.O.V

I was on my way to one of Serena's performance classes, the first being on the beach. The same beach where I broke her heart. I left Professor Kukui in quite a shock when I told him I wasn't going to be attending school anymore. He asked if I was sure about my decision, but I know for a fact that I was more than sure.

I arrived about 30 minutes early and yet there was still a long line to sign up, which was weird because most kids should be in school right now. Mallow and Lana said they wanted to come but they didn't want to skip school, so I came by myself. Eventually, after waiting for a while, I got to the table where I could sign up but before I could do so, a guy about my age stood up and approached me.

"Excuse me, does your name happen to be Ash Ketchum?" he asked.

"Uh yeah why?" I asked, curious about how he already knew my name.

"Can you come with me please?" he asked, leading me towards an empty part of the beach.

He left some other girl in charge of sign-ups and while I was following him, I got to study him a bit better. He was about the same height as me, maybe slightly shorter, and he had longer hair than I did. He wore sunglasses on his hat, and his clothing had nearly the same color scheme as mine.

When he finally stopped he turned around and started telling me about how Serena didn't want to see me anymore and that she would highly appreciate it if I left her alone. To say I was heartbroken was an understatement. I guess Serena really does hate me, but that won't stop me from apologizing to her.

~~~Time Skip~~~

Its been about three months since Serena's first performance class and ever since I've been following her island to island trying to get in contact with her but so far no luck. She hasn't answered my calls and Calem always catches my disguise when I try to get into her classes.

Serena's last class in Alola before she leaves the region was in three days. If I didn't make it, then I guess I might as well continue on my dream and leave Serena alone for a while. Throughout the time I was following Serena, I've also been training like crazy because I needed to be prepared for the Alola league soon. Both Mallow and Kiawe occasionally checked up on me and seeing how much progress I was making. I was always the same response every time. I'm currently walking around town shopping for berries when a certain voice calls out to me.

"Is that you Ash?!" a familiar female voice says.

I turn around and come face to face with "DAWN?!" I exclaimed, shocked to see her here. We run up to each other and do our signature high five. "What are you doing here?" we both ask at the same time.

"I'm here to see one of Serena's performance classes, what about you?" she says, going first.

"I'm training for the Alola league and trying to see Serena as well" I reply, saying the last part about Serena a bit more quietly.

"YOU KNOW SERENA?!?!" Dawn screamed, which cause other people around us to look weirdly at us.

"SHHHH!! Follow me, we can talk more at the pokemon center" I said leading her to the pokemon center.

Once we got to the pokemon center I led her to the room I was staying at and explained the entire situation to Dawn. She was so shocked to hear that Serena was my crush and thought I would be dense forever. It's been great being able to talk to Dawn again, having her help me through some rough times has been such a huge relief. 

"I think an have an idea on how to get Serena to listen to your apology, but we should do it soon. If you apologize on the day of her class, she may be pretty busy and if she refuses to listen to you, well then she's off to another region" Dawn stated. 

"Okay, what's the plan?" I asked. 

"It'll be very simple you'll see" she said with a sly grin. 

~~~Time Skip to tomorrow~~~ 

I woke up and felt very excited for today because I'll finally get to see Serena for the first time in a long while. Dawn's plan was indeed as simple as she stated. Once I got something to eat I headed over to where Dawn was staying so we could review the plan, which as I can already imagine will consist of a bunch of "you better not screw this up again!"s. When I arrived I knocked on the door and when she answered Dawn invited me inside as we discussed the plan. Soon as we finished that I went about my day as usual and when the time came, I started to make my way towards the beach. 

As I was heading there, I couldn't help but feel nervous. This was going to be the first time I'll see Serena and depending on how this goes, maybe the last. Once I arrive, I immediately spot her and her honey blonde hair glowing in the sunset. Gosh, she looks so beautiful, I honestly want to run up to her and hug her, tell her how I feel. Instead, I get closer and say her name. 

"Serena" 

"Ash?" she says as she turns around and faces me. 

"Serena"

"Ash, what are you doing here? Please leave me alone" she pleads, avoiding eye contact. 

"Serena please listen to me, what happened the day of our date-"

"I don't want to talk about that," she says cutting me off. I can hear the pain in her voice, damn that really must have hurt her. 

"I didn't kiss Miette," I say, getting her full attention. "She kissed me, but that wasn't supposed to happen. I tried to stop her but her pokemon wouldn't set me free" I stepped closer to her while saying this. "I tried so hard to apologize but then you started your classes and Calem never let me go in, and..." my voice trailed off. 

"Ash, I'm sorry. I should've let you apologize but every time I saw you all I could remember was that kiss, and it hurt," she says, giving me a hug, which I returned. 

"Its okay Sere, I'm just glad you're my friend again"

Hey guys, I know its kinda been a long wait, but with school exams and other activities, writing isn't the number one priority on my list right now. Since winter break is coming up for me soon I'll try to write as much as I can. Love you guys <3
