Chapter 8

She sighed as she followed Neji into the bridal shop, she didn't want to be here. She didn't want to be getting married to begin with... not to a man she didn't know anyways. She wanted him, the only man that had ever been on her mind in this manner. Her fingers brushed over the smooth materials of all the wedding Kimonos, sighing softly, her fingers drifted over a man's ceremonial garb that looked like it was made for Itachi. The outer coat was black, while the inner tunic was white. The Hakama were deep gray and felt silken against her fingers. She wondered if he would wear something similar.

Getting an idea, she decided to look around the back where the seamstress was working avidly on something. She continued rifling through the garments before her while she snooped with her Byakugan. She caught sight of one seamstress working on a shirt with the emblem for the land of fire on it, it was a deep blue, so she assumed it was for Kisame. Her gaze drifted to the next seamstress who was working on one of the ones like she was touching, she had been right. This was something Itachi would pick out. They were embroidering the Uchiha fan on the back of it, the two smaller fans on the front of the overcoat were already finished.

She deactivated her eyes and made her way over the women's wedding Kimonos. She smiled softly as she came across one that she liked. She ran her fingertips over the silken cloth and smiled a little wider as she envisioned an Uchiha fan embroidered on the back between her shoulder blades. "This one... I want this one." she whispered, and Neji leaned to look at it. "It's simplistic, yet beautiful." he said, and she beamed at him. She could feel the excitement building up in her heart as she was pulling the kimono off the stand. "You should go try it on." he said and she nodded.

He turned his back to her as she walked to the dressing room, only for someone to grab her and pull her in with their hand on her mouth so she couldn't yelp. "I've got my eyes closed so I can't see the kimono you've chosen." he whispered into her ear, his breath fanning over her and making her shiver in his grasp. He slipped the door shut fully and latched it. She hid the kimono in the closet on the wall and turned back to him. "What are you doing here?" she whisper hissed and he chuckled softly.

"I wanted to see you." He said this softly so no one could hear. "We could get in so much trouble! They aren't letting me see anyone until the wedding because they don't want me finding out who I'm marrying." she hissed softly once more, irritated with his idea to grab her in this manner once more. She couldn't say she wasn't happy to see him, she was just scared Neji would tell someone that he was here. "Don't worry about Neji, he's keeping an eye out, so we don't get caught." Itachi whispered and her jaw slackened slightly.

"You kept looking back to see if he were watching. Why do you think he doesn't have Byakugan active? He's watching everyone else so we can have a moment of peace." He said and she felt her lips twitch up into a smile. "When did you work this out with him?" she asked, and he chuckled lowly. "Two days ago. I went to him in private and asked if he would let me see you. He said no but said that there are always ways to do so. He knows I'm here; I told him I was going to be trying on the wedding garb and he said I better make sure it fits before I get married. Here we are." He explained it like it was the simplest thing in the world to sneak into a changing room unnoticed.

Which for him it probably was, he was a truly skilled and intelligent shinobi after all.

She wasted no time pressing her lips to his. He buried his fingers in her hair and pulled her face closer to his to make the gentle kiss a much rougher one. She gasped as his hand slipped up her coat once more, brushing the rough pad of his fingertips over her stomach. "I love you." she whispered when their lips parted. There was something feral about him today and she couldn't figure out what it was. She kissed him once more and his hands gently roamed around behind her and squeezed her ass ever so slightly, causing her to blush. She knew he wanted to touch her, but if he kept on, she probably wouldn't be able to contain the noises she would make.

"Itachi." she scolded softly, and he chuckled as he leaned back in and captured her lips in a gentle kiss. "I love you Hinata, even if things don't go as we plan..." he said, and she smiled as she ran her fingers over his cheekbones. Her fingertips resting on his necklace, causing him to look down to see what she was looking at. Deftly he slipped the necklace from around his neck and clasped it around hers. "Think of it as a gift from me, I'm yours... no matter what happens." he said and pressed his forehead to hers.

"I can't take this..." she whispered softly, which made him run his fingers over the necklace once more. "It was a gift from my father to my mother, and then from my mother to me... and now it's for you." he said while running his fingers over the metal of it. She felt her heart soar as he set it back down and pressed his lips to hers. It was something he held dear to his heart, and he could part with it for her and only her. She pulled away from him and hugged him tightly for a while before she heard a knock to the door.

"Hinata, are you ok in there?" Neji asked and she cleared her throat and blushed. "Yeah, I'll be out in a second." she said, and he made a noise to let her know he had heard her. She looked back to tell Itachi she loved him once more, but he was already gone. She sighed softly and touched the necklace once more. She tried on the wedding kimono and smiled as she imagined it with his crest on the back once more.

She changed back into her clothes after she looked at herself in the mirror. She stepped out of the room and held the neatly folded article of clothing to her chest tightly. "This is the one I want." she said, and he nodded to her. "Nice necklace." he mused softly, causing her to blush. "Thank you." she whispered, and he nodded. He knew it wasn't about the necklace, he knew what it was about. She handed the Kimono to the seamstresses, and they smiled at her and asked her what crest she was going to have on the back of it. Her heart sank, seeing as she didn't know who's was going on the back of her wedding kimono.

"This one." Neji said and she leaned to see, but he turned the paper away from her. She pouted but he just chuckled while handing the paper to the woman. "Ohhh! A lucky woman indeed, he was just in here earlier getting his embroidered." She said wistfully. Hinata knew then and there it was between Itachi and the Kisame. She just hoped it was Itachi, not that she had anything against Kisame, he was a wonderful man... just a bit intimidating at his stature.

Her mind wandered to other things about the man, and she cringed as she had just traumatized herself at the possibility of certain things about the abnormally large man. She was snapped out of her self traumatizing thoughts by Neji nudging her out the door gently. She followed him to a restaurant where they picked their lunch up to go. She followed him home silently, her fingertips brushing lovingly against the metal rings in the necklace. The metal parts were still warm from where he had been wearing it and it made her heart flutter.

She wanted to be near him... to be with him.

She was excited about what the future held, even though she was also scared. She wanted so desperately for her arranged marriage to be with Itachi so they could make the best of the situation they'd been given. She made her way back into the compound, taking her food with her to her room, where she pretty much stayed since she was on lockdown. She sighed and looked out her bedroom window, wishing the days to pass so she could get this all over with.

No one was telling her anything and she was growing restless.

Day by day she sat in her room, not wanting to leave for anything other than food. She didn't see Itachi anymore because she wasn't allowed to leave the compound for anything else other than her bridal gown. She sighed as she leaned closer to her open window, just staring out at the garden below. Her eyes widened as she saw movement on the surrounding wall. She gasped when the movement vanished and the person reappeared right in front of her window. A flash of a smirk was the only thing she saw before his lips pressed to hers, his fingertips digging into her windowsill to hold himself up. He pulled away from her and laughed lightly. "I couldn't wait to see you any longer." he said, amusement in his tone seeping out in waves. She had never seen him so openly amused other than when they had been children. "I've learned something." she said, and he raised a brow. "What would that be?" he asked, his voice filled with intrigue. She smiled and leaned closer to him once more. "It's between you and Kisame. The seamstresses like to talk." she said softly, and his lips broke out into a grin. He knew full well the two of them could get into so much trouble if they were caught.

This was what made him coming to see her so much more exciting though. She had to admit she loved seeing him like this. He was happy and it radiated off of him. "That is something interesting you have learned." he chuckled, shaking his head lightly. "I adore Kisame, but I know even if he and I were married it would be in name alone." she whispered, and he chuckled once more. "Kisame wouldn't know what to do with a little thing like you anyways." Itachi laughed and she blushed, all her traumatizing thoughts about the larger man flooding back in. A blush crossed her cheeks and Itachi laughed a little more.

"Don't worry love, he wouldn't hurt you." he said as he adjusted his grasp on the windowsill once more. "See that wasn't what I was worried about." she admitted bashfully, only to continue. "Body proportions are a thing you know." The laughter that escaped him then had her heart fluttering and her cheeks flushing redder. She had never heard him so truly happy before and she wondered what could have brought this about. Her smile widened at the sound of his laughter, it filled her being and made her genuinely happy. "Glad to know I can amuse." she muttered softly, and he shook his head in amusement.

The fingers of one hand removed themselves from her windowsill and they brushed over her cheek before he suddenly let go and dropped down the side of her home. She leaned further out the window and looked to see that he had landed in a crouch before taking off once more. That was when her father burst into her room and rushed over to her, Neji beside her. "We heard someone else, are you alright?" Her father asked, his voice panicked. She smiled at him and nodded once. "Yes, I'm fine. I promise." she said gently, hoping her father wouldn't press her for answers.

"It was him, wasn't it?" her father sighed, and she tried to hold back her blush, but it flooded her face anyways. How had he known? "It's written all over your face. It always is when you see him." The man sighed as he moved to sit on her bed. He folded his hands in his lap and his gaze softened as it landed on her once more. "Will you at least try to make it until the wedding? So, you can at least see if you like who you're paired with?" he asked, and she felt bad now.

"Father, he isn't coming here to ask me if I want to run." her eyes filled with sadness as she made her way over to sit beside him. "No matter what happens, I'm losing my daughter. I've begged and pleaded with them to rescind the arrangements so you and the one you love can be together, but they refuse. They have a plan and its... frustrating to say the least." He bit out softly, and she smiled. "Father, you were trying to help, and you may have helped. I think the fear of being married to someone else is what made him come back to me. And I'm holding out for the chance that they paired us up in this arrangement." She knew she was trying to convince herself of this as well.

"The elders are vindictive old bastards." Neji sighed from across the room, and she released a small laugh. "That may be so, but they're also smart. They know the power they hold. And they know how to wield it to make things better in their own way. So, I hold out hope that they realized that combining both of our clans would be the smartest move, seeing as we would become even stronger." She offered, the hope in her tone was faded by the end of it. She knew she didn't even believe the words that escaped her anymore.

"Do you love him? With everything you have?" her father asked after they had all been silent for a while. "Yes, I do." She knew this for a fact. "Then if they changed the plans on who you are to marry, I want you to run. I will even create a distraction for you to escape to get to him." Her father said softly, his regret shimmering in his eyes. Her lower lip trembled, and she fisted her hands in her lap as she looked down to hide the tears that had welled up. A soft sob escaped her, and he reached and pulled her into a hug. "I will sacrifice everything for your happiness." he whispered into her hair, causing the dam to break. The tears flooded over her cheeks, and she buried her face in her hands. A sob escaped her, and he pulled her closer to him. "I don't want to run... I just want to be with him..." she sobbed, making him tighten his hold on her. "I know." he whispered into her hair, reaching up to smooth her hair down with one hand.

After that night she had so much to think about. If they had to run, she wanted to make sure she had some things packed and hidden away so she wouldn't be without her things. So that's what she did. She started packing the essentials, as if she were going on a long-term mission. She slipped some money into her bag and a variety of clothes. She sealed the large bag into a scroll, staring at the scroll in her hands for a moment before she tied it to the front of her wedding kimono in her closet. If she didn't marry Itachi she had a plan now.

She just hoped he had planned the same thing.

She looked at her wedding Kimono once more and her lips pulled down into a frown. She knew there was supposed to be a crest on the back signifying who she was to wed, but instead there was a chakra infused seal over the spot the embroidery was supposed to be. She ran her fingers over the back of her kimono and sighed softly. They had really done everything they could to make sure she didn't know who it was. It was torturous.

The days turned into weeks as she stared out her window, wondering if Itachi was going to come see her once more. She ached to hear his laughter once more. Her fingers brushed over the windowsill where his fingertips had dug into the wood, this caused her to smile. He hadn't been using chakra to hold himself up because he hadn't wanted to alert her family that he was here. His laughter was what had alerted them though, so he needed to learn to... no... He didn't need to learn to keep it down. He needed to laugh louder, he needed to be happier.

She wanted this for him. She couldn't tell him to tone down who he really was, especially since he had gone so long doing just that. She smiled to herself and nodded; she had made her mind up. She was going to make him laugh at every chance she got. She knew she wasn't going to be getting the noble wedding she had desired, but she was still getting married, unless obvious circumstances applied. She was prepared for the worst outcome but enthusiastic about the best.

She slipped her eyes shut and forced a smile. One more day... that's all she had to make it through now. She heard a pecking at her window and when she looked over to see what it was, a smile broke out over her lips. She rushed over and slid the window open. The red eyed crow watched her carefully before offering up its foot to her. There was a small scroll attached to it and she carefully untied it.

"Oh, Itachi I miss you..." she whispered as she unfurled the scroll. Her eyes widened as she read his writing, it was neat and orderly, honestly she expected no less of the neat man. 'We could run tonight you know... but if you wish to wait and see, we can. Just send me a note back with the crow. I am prepared for any and all outcomes and I hope you are as well.' Was what he had written. She pulled out a small piece of paper and began writing her own note. 'I am prepared for the worst as well. I will only run if you run. I just hope it doesn't come down to that, though.' she wrote and rolled the paper up. She tied it to the crow's leg.

She rubbed the bird gently before she let him fly off once more. About fifteen minutes later the crow was back. She rushed back to the window and pulled the note off his leg once more. She smiled as she scanned over the paper before her. 'I have talked to Kisame and he has decided that if we run, he will too. However, he has decided his potential bride may go with us if she wants to as well, unless it's you of course, then it's already settled.' she giggled as she continued reading. Of course, Kisame would be willing to run with them, he had no one in Konoha other than them.

'Kisame thinks it's hilarious that you're terrified of... ahem... certain parts of him. He got a good laugh out of that one, considering you even pictured him that way.' was the last sentence on the note and she blushed darkly as she grabbed another piece of paper and began scribbling away in her embarrassment. 'I thought we agreed not to talk about that. I just hope his potential bride isn't me, that way he can be happy as well.' She wrote this and sent it off by crow.

She lingered by the window and waited for the crow to return. When it did it flapped its wings at her and ruffled its feathers. "Thank you, little friend, we appreciate you. I know it's cold out." she said to the bird, and he made a noise that reverberated in his little throat, almost like a little croak. She pulled the note off his leg once more and smiled as she read it. 'Good night, Hinata. I love you.' was the first sentence, but a space separated the sentence from the next. 'Kisame thinks we should just grab the other girls and take off, if they're willing of course. No one wants to be in an arranged marriage anyways.' she could hear the amusement in his writing.

"So, Kisame wants to kidnap brides, noted." she mused as she scrawled another note and reached for the crow's leg to tie the note to it. "One last trip and you can rest little friend. I'm just telling him I love him, and I miss him." she said, and the bird croaked at her once more. He took off and she slipped her window shut. A knock echoed in her room, and she made her way over to her door, at least they were busting in this time, she mused.

She slipped open her door and her father was standing there with a frown marring his lips. She could see the stress in his eyes. "Have you decided what you're going to do?" he asked, and she nodded. "I'm going to the wedding." she said softly, which made him pause for a moment, then nod. "I understand. Are you prepared?" He asked and she nodded to this. She pointed over to the mannequin in her room that had her kimono on it. His eyes landed on the scroll, and he cracked the tiniest hint of a smile.

Her eyes went wide in panic when the crow started pecking at the window once more. Her father slipped past her and made his way to the window. She watched in horror as he opened the window and slipped the new note off the crow's ankle. He slipped it open, and a chuckle escaped him as he read the note. He handed it to her, which made her blush. 'I love you more than you'll ever know.' was all it read. A relieved sigh escaped her, and her father watched her with mirth in his eyes. "Sit, we have much to discuss." he said, and she slipped to sit cross legged on her bed.

He sat next to her and gripped his knees gently. "You know, the week before our marriage, your mother and I were sending notes all the time, too. We weren't allowed to see each other and so we had come up with a plan to talk. I had a summoning contract with felines at the time." he said, and she listened to him in interest. "I would send her notes attached to the cats' collars and we would just talk back and forth. Of course our marriage was arranged as well, but I was stubborn and had fallen in love with her before that was even arranged. So, I have no issue with you two talking like this, just don't let anyone else find out." he mused and she nodded with a smile.

"I also have something else for you." He said and she blinked up at him curiously. He pulled a small box out of his sleeve and offered it to her. She took it gently and opened it. She gasped as she looked at it. It was a set of onyx rings with the Uchiha fan embedded with rubies and diamonds. "I know the two of you will get married, regardless of if it was arranged or if you do it on the run, I just want you to know that I support you fully and I want him to know that too." He said and tears filled her eyes once more.

She loved her father with every fiber of her being. She hugged him tightly and he just patted her hair as she cried. she knew her father had once been a stern man, but over the years he had softened up and showed her who he really was. He left soon after, wishing her the best for tomorrow. She changed into her night clothes and slipped into her bed, wondering about the events of the next day. She drifted off to sleep dreaming of hopes to be with Itachi.

When she woke the next morning, she was being rushed around. She was ushered through town with all her wedding party and supplies. They met at the ceremonial hall and she took a deep breath as she was placed in a room with three other women. She took in the appearance of the other women carefully, trying to see if she knew them. The first was a tall woman with long white hair and silver eyes. She was a slender woman, but she was pure muscle. She wore nothing but black shorts and a skintight dark blue tunic, her chest partially exposed. Her eyes landed on her, and a sharp toothed grin was revealed. "Sayuri." she greeted and held out a hand to her. Hinata reached and shook her hand gently. She could feel the mischievous aura to this woman and Hinata instantly took a liking to her. "Hinata." Hinata greeted and the woman did a once over on her. "Why are you lobbed in here with us?" she asked and Hinata sighed.

"My father was trying to help me find a husband." she said softly, and the woman snorted. "I just wanted to get the hell outta Kiri. Why not take a husband in a foreign land to do so." Sayuri mused and Hinata smiled. "Makes sense." she said and looked over to the other woman, who was sitting in the corner silently. "I'm none of your concern." The harsh tone of her voice echoed through the room and Hinata nodded. She wasn't going to mess with the raven-haired woman.

Her light blue eyes took in the appearance of each of them and she scoffed as she looked away from them. Hinata could tell the woman was nobility just from how she held herself. "I don't want to be here because this was against my will, unlike the two of you." she hissed and Hinata narrowed her eyes. She didn't like this woman one bit. She looked back over to Sayuri as the wedding parties entered the room. Hinata was immediately swept away into a changing room and her Kimono was put on her.

Her hair was pulled up into a ponytail and the ends were slightly curled. She slipped her eyes shut as she sat in the chair while they worked on her hair and makeup. She felt them tuck something into her hair, which made her open her eyes. She had a large white flower tucked into her hair. Her eyes widened as she took in her appearance. She was beautiful. The wedding dressers reached for the scroll on her kimono and she gripped it tightly to keep them from taking it off.

"Miss Hyuuga, you can't have that." the woman said and Hinata clutched it tighter. "It was from my father; I won't go out there without it." she said and eventually they gave up trying to take the small scroll. She was led back into the other room where all three brides were fully dressed up, waiting to go out and be wed. They were lined up and ushered out the door. They were led up the aisle and Hinata could pick out who was who, where the grooms were lined up.

She could tell even though all three men were wearing masks similar to that of ANBU. Hinata's heart broke the moment she was placed in front of the Fire Daimyo's youngest son. She glanced over at Itachi and she could see the twitch of irritation jolt his hands. This was not supposed to happen... she looked down to see the Uchiha crest appear on her Kimono and she knew for sure now that this wasn't the plan at all.

:-:-:-:

Itachi watched her closely through the mask. Her fingers kept trailing up to the scroll hanging from her Kimono and he knew she wanted to flee, this was her silent cry for him to do the same. He trailed his gaze up and took in her appearance. She was beautiful in every meaning of the word. He was entranced. But soon enough he was broken from his haze. He looked over to Kakashi who seemed just as surprised as he had been to see that Hinata had been placed with the Daimyo's son.

"You may all remove your masks now, gentlemen." the officiator said and he did as he was told, although the rage was evident on his features now. This was not how this was supposed to go in the slightest. "We made some last minute alterations to some of the pairings, you must forgive us." The male elder said and everyone was silent. He had not agreed to any of this. "Why have you done this?" The fire Daimyo's son asked, anger evident in his tone. The fire Daimyo looked between the brides and frowned.

"This is not who I had set my son to marry. What is the meaning of this?" he demanded and chatter rose up from all around. No one seemed to know what was going on. He looked out to the crowd and saw that Hiashi Hyuuga was watching him carefully. He tapped the scroll on his chest and the man nodded at him and motioned towards Hinata with his eyes. "We thought that you would be pleased for your son to wed a respectable Hyuuga heiress instead." the old man said and the Daimyo stood.

"This is because of the lady who threatened to run, isn't it? The Hozuki girl?" he demanded and Itachi glanced over at the white haired woman who had her hands folded in front of her. "No, it was because the Heiress threatened to do the same." The old man said and Itachi's angered gaze landed on him. The men all argued for a while, only for Hinata to look over at him and make a move to run, but an ANBU grabbed her and held her still. "Get your hands off my daughter!" Hiashi yelled and all eyes landed on him. "Father... this is not what we agreed upon!" the Daimyo's son snarled and everything became chaos and swiftly.

Kisame and the Hozuki girl were standing there unbothered, but everyone else was yelling and causing a scene. Hinata broke free of the ANBU's grasp and she rushed over to him and clung to him tightly. The ANBU made a move to come after her, but his red eye was glaring at the masked man, who knew when to stand down. The insanity resumed for at least ten more minutes before the Daimyo stood and yelled for everyone to be silent.

"I see that two of them are clinging to one another like their life depends on it, can you tell me why this is?" he asked and the elder sputtered. The elder looked at him and opened his mouth to yell at him and Hinata, but was cut off by the Daimyo once more. "Tell me why you separated those two." he said and Itachi held Hinata closer to him. He knew this was either going to work out the way they wanted it to, or they were going to run. "We cant have the Uchiha strengthening his clan once more, you remember what happened last time." The elder bit out and the Daimyo frowned.

"So you force two people so clearly in love, apart? Where is your heart, elder?" he asked and Hiashi made his way up to the front of the aisle. "Sir, if I may?" Hiashi called out and the Daimyo looked over to him with curious eyes. "Please." "The only reason my daughter is in this situation is because of me, so please have mercy on her... she had been in love with the Uchiha for as long as I can remember, I was just trying to urge them together..." he said and the Daimyo stood and made his way down to the man who was crouched before him respectfully.

"Then they will be together. I give my blessing." he said and Itachi sighed in relief. He pressed his face into Hinata's hair and hugged her even tighter. "As for you, Homura. We will discuss things later." the man said and Itachi released Hinata, only for the woman standing in front of him to walk away to stand before the Daimyo's son. Hinata stood before him and she offered him the smallest hint of a smile. "Now, does anyone else have any objections?" The Daimyo asked, looking mainly toward Kisame and Sayuri. "None at all." the two former mist nin said together, eliciting smirks on both of their lips.

Oh yes, Kisame was going to have a hell of a time with her.

The wedding proceeded as planned and they each joined their left hands to the person across from them. It was in no way a traditional wedding, but it was his wedding to Hinata and he was going to make the best of it. When everything was finished, they were silent as they walked through the streets of Konoha. Their arms were linked, and they were pressed firmly into one another's side. "The moon is beautiful..." Hinata said suddenly and he nodded as he gazed up at the moon.

He looked back down to see her admiring the moon still, but he was just admiring her. He didn't understand how such a beautiful woman could have chosen him, much less have been willing to abandon her own village for him. They slipped into the restaurant where her family was hosting their reception dinner. All their friends were there and he couldn't be more pleased. They sat at the table in the center, as well as Kisame and Sayuri. The two of them were bickering back and forth playfully and he was pleased to hear they were compatible.

"Damn Hyuuga... I didn't think you would actually have it in you to run." Sayuri said and Kisame let loose a laugh that made her blush. "She's run away before, so it wouldn't have been the first time." Kisame said and Hinata looked down at her hands. She really hadn't run away with them to begin with, she had just refused to leave them behind, Itachi knew this much. "So how long have you known each other?" Sayuri asked and Hinata smiled. "Since I was a little girl." she said and Kisame chuckled. "Same for Sayuri and I." he said, and Itachi's eyes widened.

No wonder the large man hadn't had any issues when he had seen her. "Well, that's interesting." Itachi said and Sayuri nodded. "Yeah, I was shocked to see him again honestly. Everyone knew he was in Konoha, but no one knew it was him I would be marrying." She said as she sipped her drink. Itachi smiled and slipped his eyes shut. Everything seemed to be going just fine and he was grateful for that. He glanced over at Hinata, and she was looking at her hands, where his necklace was weaved gently between her fingers. A smile crossed his lips and he reached to place his hand on her head, ruffling her bangs gently.

They were still all in their wedding clothes, and he was uncomfortable. He couldn't wait to get him and get into regular clothes. He looked at his bride and she still had her scroll attached to her kimono, he knew she was planning on running with him and he hated that she would have done it if it had come down to it. He was ever grateful that the Daimyo was so easily swayed. She looked up at him and a smile broke out across her lips. "This is all I've ever wanted." She said softly and he nodded. He knew this for a fact.

"Itachi, what are you thinking about?" Kisame asked and this drew him out of his thoughts, he had been thinking about the Infinite Tsukuyomi dream he'd had. Perhaps it wasn't too far off from happening now. "Nothing that concerns you at this moment, only my... wife..." he said and Kisame burst out laughing, while Hinata flushed dark red. He was going to have to get used to the fact she was his wife now. They had gone from not being around each other at all to being married in a span of a few weeks. It was baffling quite honestly.

"What kind of thoughts are you having to blush like that woman?" Sayuri asked and Hinata sputtered indignantly. Sayuri grinned and leaned closer to the younger woman. "Oh, you're thinking about that part of marriage, are you?" Sayuri asked slyly, causing Hinata to flush even darker red than before. He knew if Sayuri kept on messing with her, Hinata would probably faint. "Sayuri." he called, and the woman looked at him oddly. "She will faint." he said simply and Hinata huffed lightly as she reached for his hand.

"I will not faint. I don't do that anymore." she grumbled, and he laughed at her. He found her so amusing he couldn't hold it in. Perhaps it was because she was still so young, he didn't know for sure. But he truly wasn't sure. He just knew he loved that about her. "So, since you like teasing about our situation, why aren't you two worried about the fact you have to have children as well?" Itachi asked and it was Sayuri's turn to blush.

He was genuinely amused by the reaction he had gotten out of the cocky woman. She was blushing and looking away from Kisame. "Been there done that. It's definitely worth the trouble." Kisame chuckled and it was Sayuri's turn to sputter. "Kisame!" She hissed and he just laughed even louder. "What, you weren't bashful about it back then, why are you now?" Kisame mused and Hinata looked between the two of them. "Because we didn't discuss it in front of your friends, you big bastard." she growled.

Itachi looked over to Hinata, who was once again fiddling with his necklace as it sat around her neck. The smile that crossed his lips went unnoticed by her because her eyes were locked on his necklace. "Hinata, are you alright?" he asked and she looked over to him, a curious glimmer in her eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine." She said softly as she continued to fiddle with the necklace. "Then what are you thinking of?" He asked and she blushed lightly.

"I'll tell you later..." she said softly, and he nodded, he could understand not wanting to talk about certain things. He looked at the waitress as food was set in front of them. He was hungry, seeing as he hadn't eaten all day. He watched as her father approached the table and whispered something in her ear, making er nod softly and smile. Hiashi patted her on the head gently and turned to look at him. I trust you'll take care of her. He said, his tone not betraying the veiled threat that he knew was there. "Of course." he said and Hiashi nodded and patted him on the head as well. He would take care of his new wife no matter what. It was going to be an adjustment for the both of them, but he knew she was relying on him. He knew this. He reached over and offered her his hand, which she took gently as a smile pulled across her lips.

He was going to do everything in his power to ensure her happiness, she deserved it.
