Nivin.

"It's a shock, yes, but I don't want to dwell too much on the past," I said. It was true.

The fact that Nirosha had been waiting for a break up really sucks, if I had known it a little before, I would have probably gone mad. but now, even though it still hurts, I can deal with it.

I am not feeling that pain anymore!

I am over her!

I realised In surprise. The old Neev would've probably broken down from the betrayal.

"Neev....are you?...alright?" Riya asked me.

"Yes...I am okay" I said. "I will just go and check on Rohan," I said before walking out.

"Yea..." Sachin said.

Riya.

I was still looking at the door.

"Don't worry about him, he will be okay," Sachin said.

"He's a bit sensitive when it comes to relationships, I would be shocked too, if I were to be betrayed like that," I said.

"Yes, but I know him," Sachin said. "If he was still affected, he would not have talked about her at all, he's hurt, yes, but he's over her"

"Are you sure?" I looked at him.

"If it was before, he would've gotten angry, we were not allowed to talk about Nirosha and his parents, before, but he talked about her, opened up to us, that means, it hurts him less now"

"What about his parents?"

Sachin sighed. "It's a forbidden subject, I don't think he could get over it that easily, it's what made the bitter Nivin you see now," Sachin said.

I wonder what really happened!

"Then I will see you guys," Sachin said, Neev and I nodded, we were seeing him out.

We had convinced Rohan to face grandpa when he's completely sober.

"Sachin" Philip nodded at him, Sachin nodded back, stiffly.

"I never see you coming inside" he commented.

They must've taken the poolside stairs to bring Rohan inside!

"Yea, just tighten the security more, it's white house, after all," Sachin said, I would've laughed aloud if the situation was different.

Philip gave us a look and walked away, Sachin turned to Neev.

"No, he hasn't changed a bit!" Nivin answered.

"I can't even stand to look at him, I admire you Neev, remember that time we used to fool him"

I looked over at them, they all share a past, Sachin and Neev would've given him a hard time in the past!

"That time is over, now he enjoys beating me up by grandpa's orders," Neev said bitterly.

"I am sorry about it-" Sachin started.

"Not anymore though, I am starting my own battle now," Neev said. "Thank you from bringing Rohan home"

"You sounds like the old Neev now" Sachin winked and I laughed at Neev's scowl.

"Yea! I know! 'it's over Sachin, I no longer live in the past' " Sachin said in a good impression of Neev's voice and I cracked up, even Neev smiled a little.

"But I miss that best friend of mine, so if you ever feel alone, ring me up," Sachin said while opening his car door.

"Aarg! so corny!" I teased.

"I will see you guys around" Sachin drove away.

"Riyechi!" Danny ran near. "Are you alright? we were so worried! did grandpa say anything?" he was still in his uniforms.

"I am alright, Danny," I said, it was the first time I am meeting him after the party incident.

"Why did you even come back here? grandpa's going to punish you!" he said again.

"Ah...you Aldrick's sure love your family! you are not the first person telling me to run away" I said smiling at him.

"You should have-"

"Give her some rest, Danny, she's alright now," Nivin said beside me. Danny looked up at him in surprise.

"Brother Neev, you were never concerned about Riyechi before! You gave me a shock in the party, appearing beside Riyechi at that party" he said and I laughed.

Neev looked uneasy for some reason. "I was bored"

"Yea, I bought it!" Danny snorted. "I should have seen this coming after that bed incident!" he said.

"Danny!" Both Nivin and I said. I blushed furiously.

"Ha! got you!" he laughed and took my hand. "come on, there's something I want to show you!" he started to run, dragging my hand.

"Hey-" Neev said, but we were already out of his sight.

Joseph Aldrick.

"It's not as simple as you think, Sebastian," I said. "Do you even understand what you are saying? Rohan is asking around for Naina!"

"So what, he would never know what really happened, and even if he knows, he can't prove anything" Sebastian Looked at ease.

"It's not about the law I am talking, the only control we have over him was Naina, I don't know what will happen if he suspects anything"

"I promised you to take care of this matter when we agreed to the engagement of Nirosha and Rohan, so don't-"

"And look at what happened, it just became more complicated! I never wanted you to take care of her that way, I was only intending to threaten her just like I did to Rohan!"

"Are you blaming me now?" Sebastian Looked angry. "It was an accident, I never wanted to kill her, you know that too"

"But see what it did now, we are in a much worse situation now, she's not dead and we don't know when her memory is coming back! we have to constantly keep watch of her!" I said.

"Her uncle and aunty are with us, so don't worry about her, they will know if something like that happened" Sebastian Said. "But I think we could just take care of her now, it's much easier that way!" he said.

"But Riya knows her! If Priya suddenly disappears, that girl is not going to be quiet, it will get much worse then!" I said.

Yes, killing her is not an option, especially when Riya is so much protective of her, I have to do something very carefully, I had never been in this kind of sticky situation before!

"Of Course! It's that girl again! sometimes I really want to destroy her first" Sebastian Said angrily.

"Not as much as me, Sebastian, she's the only daughter of Anil Ragunad, James's best friend who betrayed him!"

"You sure have a weird way of revenge, even going as far as enrolling her in college!" Sebastian Said.

"Yes, because I intend to enslave her the rest of her life, she's desperately trying to pay me the money, but I will just trap her again," I said.

No, I can't forgive him, Ragunad. Even if he's dead, he's the reason James commit suicide!

He took James's wife, Julia, away, But they couldn't escape because my people stopped them and Ragunad escaped.

That bastard escaped me all these years. He was so clever! and he just died in that accident!

I turned to Sebastian.

"Did you find out how Naina reached there? with Ragunad?" I asked him.

"You know that he was following us, I heard he made a deal with that person at the graveyard when my people were returning back, he must have taken her from there and apparently, she was not dead then!"

"You must've been careful Sebastian!you said she's dead first," I said.

When Naina came to look for Rohan two years back, Sebastian Had tried to talk to her and she had an accident and, she fell down from the stairs, According to Sebastian, she was dead that time!

"After that fall, I really thought she's dead! that's why I ordered to bury her!" he said.

"She wasn't dead and your men just left her with the person at graveyard!?"

"They left when it was almost over! they returned when that man was burying her! It's what they usually do, Even I would never have imagined that Anil will.follow them all the way there, I always knew it, Anil was trouble, but this truly shocked me!"

"He's really something! He hid his daughter in my orphanage; nest! that too with Julia because he knew I am going to hunt her down! he knew it was the last place I would expect for his daughter to turn up! he changed his name to Ananth and he adopted her and protected her all these years! my only regret is he died before I could meet him! and it's your fault!" I said.

"I told you many times, my people were chasing them, they were just trying to get him, but I still think it's good he died because otherwise, he would've found another way to escape somehow,"

"But we have his daughter now, he had taken all that trouble to just protect her, I want to ruin her completely, I want to see her suffer, I am going to make her suffer!"

"And Nivin? he seemed too fond of her, I always wonder what will happen if he came to know she's really that man's daughter, who caused his dad's death" Sebastian Said.

"It's the last surprise I have for him and I am saving it for later, I can't forget the fact that he's Julia's son, the wench that betrayed my son! and I can't kill him, because he's James's son too!"

"You do realise we are playing with fire now? Rohan is searching for Naina and Riya knows about Priya, what if they realised both are the same person?" he asked me.

"We will take care of it quietly, I don't care what happens to her after I get my revenge, we will just deal with Riya and Naina then," I said. "Once Riya's true identity is revealed, nobody will hate her as much as Nivin and nobody will give a damn if anything happens to her, so it's safer," I said.

I know it's a brilliant plan!

"So let's wait for the right time, we can deal with Naina if she ever gets her memory back, but not now, I have to think about Rohan now, if Rohan ever comes to know about her, he will turn around and we couldn't control him," I said.

"This is interesting! Are you, the notorious Joseph Aldrick, afraid of your grandson?" Sebastian Turned to me.

"I have enough on the plate with Nivin alone, I don't want Rohan to get rebellious too!" I said. "And I don't want another James in my family, I can't allow that," I said firmly.

I have started to notice the changes in Rohan, he is changing fast and his drinking habits just reminded me of James.

"I understand it could be difficult, well...don't worry about anything, I promise, I will take care of this matter, no one's going to know about it" Sebastian Said.

"You should do that because I can remove any obstacles from outside, Sebastian, but you know I can't remove anyone within the family," I said, my voice carrying a little warning in it.

"And how's Julia doing? I heard she needs kidney transplantation?" he asked as I get up.

"The date is fixed, it will happen soon," I said darkly.

"You always surprise me, you could've just let her die, but you had to do all these!"

"I intend to lock her up the rest of her life, I have done it for the past years and I am going to do it until she rot away in that place, she must regret what she did to my son, she must regret it every single second of her pathetic life" I said. "And I have a control over Riya, she will do anything for her mamma, it's ironic actually! Nivin hates her and Riya would die for her, I never thought life will get this interesting"

"I don't care about anyone else, but I won't wait if my daughter gets hurt, I don't care if it's Naina or Riya," he said darkly.

"Don't worry about the cancelled engagement, you know you can trust me" I promised. "You just concentrate on the details that bastard collected against us, he was practically living his life, trying to destroy us," I said darkly.

After escaping me, Anil Ragunad had been trying to follow us, he wanted to destroy us, I know he has all those evidence against us, stored away somewhere. Just like he hide his daughter and saved Naina.

I think he saved Naina to be a witness against us, too bad, he didn't get a chance to even start with us!

"I was doing that all these time, I couldn't find anything, no locker, I checked under both the names, Anil and Ananth, but nothing"

"You know how he works, it won't be easy" I warned him. "He was clever enough to hide his daughter where I locked up Julia and he could even protect Naina these two years! if it was not for that accident, we would never have found about Naina and Riya"

"Yea, I know, but at least he's not alive anymore, we can find it"

Riya.

"Riya, you don't have to get down here," Nivin said again. we were on our way to college, I was in his car.

"I will take the bu-Neev!" we passed the usual stop that I used to take the bus.

"You just went there in Sachin's car," he said stubbornly. "And everyone already knows you live at Aldricks now"

I was aware of it too, JP picked us up in front of everyone yesterday. With the people who are more interested in others business than their own, everyone would be already aware of me staying at Nivin's house.

"I can manage," I said, more to myself than to Nivin. "Besides, it was not 'me' who was dropped by Sachin, it was 'us'" I said.

"Okay, I just want to take you today," Nivin said in a low voice.

I looked over at him.

Did I really hear it right?

"What? I can't do it? we live in the same house anyway" Nivin said again, probably noticing my stare.

"It was you who wanted me to act ignorant," I said slowly.

"Yea, I don't want you to ignore me anymore," Nivin said again.

Dub....dub...dub...

I clutched my heart slightly.

"Why?" I asked slowly.

"Just because I feel like it," Nivin said, I could see him avoiding my question!

Of course! it's Nivin Rosh Aldrick!

"And...It's my last day there" he said.

"What!? why?" I said.

"Are you living here Riya? it's semester exam for final years!"

"Oh...I forgot" I mumbled.

It means my misery is starting!

"Will you be alright? Sachin won't be there either" Neev looked over at me.

"Of course, I will be fine," I said quickly.

Neev sighed. "I thought you would say the exact words, don't worry, I will let-"

"No!" I said firmly.

"But they are going to-"

"I want to survive on my own, I don't want anyone else looking after me, same goes for Sachin, I am a big girl, I can take care of myself"

"You don't know what they are capable-"

"Please respect my decision on this, I don't think not being rich is a problem," I said stubbornly, in my final words.

Nivin didn't say anything.

"Neev, promise me," I said again.

"Riya, I know it's not a problem but the stude-"

"Just promise if you trust me," I said deadly. I know I am kind of blackmailing him now.

It's high time I started to deal with it on my own!

Neev sighed. "Okay, but you have to tell me if things get out of hand"

"We have a deal then!" I smiled, Neev didn't look too happy.

.........

"I will see you then," I told Neev before he even unbuckled his seat belts, I opened the door.

"Riya-"

"Remember our promise," I said, cutting him off. he looked really concerned and I touched my heart again.

"See you" I fled.

Half an hour later, my confidence level was soon falling.

All sorts of insults were thrown at me, tripped twice and my dress is full of dirt too.

"Excuse me, Riya mehra?" I heard my name and turned around to see an unknown boy walking near me.

"Yes?" I asked warily. he gave me a charming smile.

"I was wondering how much you cost for one day," he said.

"What!?" I was shocked, people around me snickered, I know they are enjoying this.

I know they planned this to insult me.

"He is asking you how much you charge to get in your pants" someone laughed and I turned around.

Mia!

The bitch who screwed me last time at the party, I am only seeing her today after that.

I drew to my full height and folded my hands over my chest as she came closer.

I turned to the boy, who was still beside me. "well...you can't afford me, mate" I said confidently, winking at him. "I am sure you can pick someone else," I said now turning to Mia.

I heard few people gasping and it also wiped the smile off the boy's face.

"Then, I will see you all," I said proudly in my stained dress.

I started to walk.

"That's why you are snatching away Nirosha's boyfriend! you only take the richest guys!" Mia snarled at me.

"Mia!" even Nirosha seemed shocked at her outburst.

"It's the truth" Mia snapped at her. "You told us it's because of her you can't go back to Neev! you even took the pain to transfer here back for him! I don't know why you are hiding it, if anyone should be guilty, it should be her!" Mia said.

Everyone was frozen, including me. I turned around back to look at them.

"She told you that, didn't she?" I asked, looking at Nirosha with fire in my eyes.

It was with great willpower I have to keep my mouth shut or I would've shouted aloud about her betrayal.

And now she is playing at this, she wants someone to blame.

"why don't you tell them the real reason why you are here again, Nirosha?" I looked at her deadly.

I really want to expose her, here and now, I want to show everyone her true colours, But no, I have too much respect for Neev and Rohan to do it. I fixed her with my deadly glare, Nirosha seemed to be covering at the unexpected turn of events.

"Don't you look at her, Mehra! you break up a perfect couple" Mia said as everyone around nodded in agreement.

I know it's not going to be fair, I know they will only follow the status and money, this college sucks!

"What can I say," I said slowly. "You are right, he's exactly my type, I can't help it," I said icily at a shocked Mia and Nirosha, then started to walk.

"Wow!"

I saw Sharath & Sreejith, Nivin's friends beside me. "You have some guts!" Sharath said.

"I think I underestimated you!" Sreejith chuckled.

"I will take it as a compliment," I said.

* * *

Nivin.

Security opened the door for me.

"Conference room, Mr.Aldrick is expecting you," said grandpa's secretary.

I corrected my suit and started towards the conference room. It was the first time in two years I am wearing this willingly.

I don't want anything to go wrong today. I plan to keep coming back.

I walked to the conference room, the two people on either side take one look and opened the door for me.

All the board of directors including Sachin, Rohan and Uncle Dev turned to look at me in shock. I know it's very unlikely for them to forget my rude answers only a few days back.

"Hello everyone, Am I late?" I asked cheerfully.

Guys!

So some of the secrets are revealed at last! I hope it was not confusing for you! I will just explain it briefly here;

Yes, Naina and Priya are same persons, only, Priya lost her memories when she was in the accident with Ananth uncle/Anil ragunad, who is really Riya's biological father.

And yes, Riya's mamma is Neev's birth mother, Julia, Riya turned up with her because her dad hides her in the same orphanage where Julia was locked up by grandpa, he knew it was the last place Joseph Aldrick will be looking for his daughter!

And the story was going through Joseph Aldrick's point of view, so of course, there's more to it! but just remember this one thing, nobody in the family knows about these apart from grandpa!

Ps: I know Neev has met Julia at the hospital, but don't forget that he last saw his Amma when he's 5 yrs old and it's been 21 yrs after that. Even though Neev is reminded of His Amma from the hospital, He believes it's Riya'S MAMMA.
