Finding her was devastating, and that was an understatement.

It was constant panic: Was she breathing? Did she have a pulse? Call an ambulance. Try to wake her up.

Haknyeon, having to watch his sister lay in her bed lifelessly, was traumatic. Younghoon sat against her wall and silently cried as they waited for the ambulance, shaking underneath the hoodie that he constantly shared with her. Haknyeon's parents were trying to calm the boys down, but they themselves were far from calm.

The only thing they were hoping for, was for a doctor to say, "She's okay. She just needs recovery time."

But they were afraid they wouldn't even get that.

Haknyeon anxiously tapped his foot, waiting for his eldest friend to show up. Knowing Sangyeon, as soon as he saw his text, the boy would've rushed to the hospital to see what was going on.

Then hurried footsteps echoed through the hallway and a frazzled Sangyeon took a seat next to the youngest. "Have you heard anything?"

"No," Haknyeon sighed and looked at Younghoon, who had finally fallen asleep after crying for so long. "We've been here since one in the morning."

"Four hours and you haven't heard anything," Sangyeon shook his head as he realized the circumstances. "Where are your parents?"

"Filling out paperwork and making calls. Being her legal guardians, they have guidelines for things like this."

Sangyeon nodded slowly and finally realized how tired Haknyeon looked. Drained didn't do his state justice, because he just looked out of it. And Sangyeon couldn't blame him for that.

"Have you tried to rest?" Sangyeon asked.

Haknyeon shook his head as his eyes glossed over again. "I didn't want to miss the doctor."

"I'll wake you up," Sangyeon reassured him. "I promise."

But before Haknyeon could decide, the doctor came walking down the hall with determined steps. Haknyeon's heart was pounding as he quickly woke Younghoon up, and all three boys looked at him attentively, nervously.

"She's fine, boys," the doctor said, and all three of them felt a wave of overwhelming relief. "She overdosed on Lunesta, which is the sleeping medication I prescribed her for her night terrors last month. Recommended dosage is one milligram and we pumped over forty milligrams out of her system. She's resting right now, but when she wakes up, she'll be weak and tired, and her shakiness and irregular breathing is normal for the first day. I'll take you to her room and I'll find your parents to talk to them."

The boys got up and followed the doctor to Chisoo's room. It was dimly lit, the only sign of light being the small amount from the moon through the windows and the lamp next to her hospital bed.

The doctor left, but they didn't even notice. They were too busy looking at Chisoo, who looked miserable even as she rested. The bags under her eyes had gotten worse, and her skin was pale. It was so quiet that they could hear her shallow breathing, but at least they didn't have to worry about whether or not she was breathing.

"When do you think she'll wake up?" Younghoon mumbled.

"Who knows," Sangyeon replied quietly. "She probably needs as much rest as she can get."

Beeping, whirring, brightness.

Chisoo would've preferred to wake up to anything else, but as soon as she realized she was in a hospital, she involuntarily shot up and looked around the room, only to find, no one.

Tears welled up in her eyes and she started having trouble catching her breath. Was she re-living the morning after the wreck, because that was exactly what it felt like.

Tears fell and she thought she would hyperventilate. She was alone, again. Did everyone abandon her?

She put her head in her hands as she tried to calm down, but she couldn't, and when the door to her room opened, she didn't even want to look up - she didn't want to see the doctor and be disappointed.

But then there were gentle hands on her cheeks, making her look up, and she found them. Younghoon, Haknyeon, and even Sangyeon. She even caught a glimpse of Mr. and Mrs. Ju in the hallway.

She wasn't alone.

And that promoted her to cry even more.

"You all stayed?" She cried. "You didn't leave me by myself?"

Haknyeon furrowed his eyebrows sadly as more tears streaked the girls cheeks. "Why would we do that, Chisoo?"

"Because last time I woke up, no one was here," her voice broke as she held onto Younghoon's hoodie. "Just the doctor because he had to be here."

Sangyeon tilted his head as he looked between Younghoon and Haknyeon, then at Chisoo. "After the wreck?"

He trailed off as Chisoo nodded, a sob escaping her throat. "I called Hayoon in my hospital bed and told him what happened before I fell asleep, and he told me he would be here when I woke up," her chest jumped as she struggled to catch her breath and speak at the same time. "But when I woke up, he wasn't here. Instead, I got a text saying that we were breaking up."

Sangyeon was speechless. No wonder she had so much resentment in her eyes when she looked at Hayoon. He abandoned her when she needed someone most, and he seemingly did it with no hesitation.

"Seriously?" Younghoon questioned, his tone icy.

Chisoo nodded sadly. "And he just gave up on me."

Her voice finally gave out completely and she buried her face in the crook of Younghoon's neck. None of them had ever seen a grip tighter than the one she had on his hoodie.

She was hurting and she needed someone, but who was willing enough to be her person?
