Third person's pov!
The air in the dimly lit basement was thick with tension and the stench of fear. The only source of light was a flickering overhead lamp that cast eerie shadows on the grimy walls. In the centre of the room, a man, battered and bruised, was tied to a chair. His breath came in ragged gasps, and his eyes darted around, filled with a terror that gnawed at his sanity. Armed men surrounded him, their expressions cold and unyielding. Raj Bhalla could sense his end approaching, each second stretching into an eternity of dread.
From the shadows emerged Sai Krishna, his presence commanding and unnerving. He stepped forward, a smirk playing on his lips as he stared down at the terrified Raj.
"Sai, please let me go. This won't happen again," Raj begged, his voice trembling with desperation.
Sai merely smirked, his eyes reflecting a bored indifference as he watched Raj's pitiful display. He remained silent, letting the man's pleas hang in the air, unanswered and futile.
Suddenly, the faint sound of boots echoed through the basement, growing louder with each step. Sai's smirk widened, and Raj's panic intensified. His heart pounded in his chest, sweat dripping down his face as the ominous sound drew closer.
"Please, let me go!" Raj screamed, the echoes of his desperation bouncing off the walls.
The door burst open with a resounding bang, and a man strode in. He was six feet tall, well-built, and exuded a dangerous aura that filled the room. The mere sight of him sent a shiver down Raj's spine.
"Raj Bhalla," the man's voice boomed, reverberating through the basement. The authority and menace in his tone were unmistakable.
"Mr. Kh-Khuranna, I am sorry. Please forgive me. Please give me one more chance," Raj begged, his voice breaking as he pleaded for his life.
Dhruv Khuranna's eyes were cold and unyielding as he regarded the trembling man before him.
"In my rule book, there is only one justice for betrayal, Bhalla," he said, his voice icy and final.
"Please, Mr. Khuranna," Raj whimpered, tears streaming down his face.
"Goodbye, Bhalla," Dhruv said coldly, his gaze shifting to Sai. The silent command in his eyes was clear.
"I will handle this, Dhruv," Sai responded, understanding exactly what was expected of him.
Without another word, Dhruv turned on his heel and walked out of the basement. As he stepped outside, the sound of a gunshot echoed behind him. A satisfied smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.
There is only one justice for betrayal in his rule book. Death!

Dhruv was having dinner, when Sai walked in.
Sai Krishna was Dhruv's right hand man. His PA by day and his henchmen whenever necessary.
"Sai, have dinner.." Dhruv invited and Sai took a seat across from Dhruv. The househelp served Sai dinner and then disappeared into the kitchen.
"All settled?" Dhruv asked, making sure no one was in the earshot.
"Yes. Done and dusted." Sai said and Dhruv nodded. They continued to have their dinner.
"VK called. He said your phone wasn't unreachable." Sai said.
"I just saw his missed calls. I will call him back after dinner.." Dhruv said.
"Did you guys decide on the merger?" Sai asked.
"We are discussing. In a week or two, I will fly over to Bangalore to have a personal discussion with Ved. This merger, I want to start, is separate from the Khuranna business. Call Mr Sharma and ask him to prepare the necessary paperwork for registering the new business." Dhruv said and Sai nodded.
"Are you planning to settle down in Bangalore once the merger is done?" Sai asked curiously.
"I have no plans of settling anywhere, Sai. Why should I settle down when I have nothing that ties me down.." Dhruv asked with a shrug and Sai remained silent.
His boss is an in and out playboy. That's what the tabloids says. He has no string flings.. And that relationship, if you can call it one, wouldn't last more than two days. But he has never seen his boss intimate with any woman. It is still a mystery. Sai sighed. Just as Dhruv said, there is nothing tying him down. No girlfriends. No wife. No parents. The only sibling he has is married and living in Mussoorie.
As Dhruv and Sai continued their dinner, the conversation shifted back to business.
"Have you thought about who will oversee the operations here while you are in Bangalore?" Sai asked, taking a bite of his food.
"Yes, I have been considering Raghav. He's shown potential and understands our operations well," Dhruv replied, his tone thoughtful.
"Raghav is a good choice. He's reliable," Sai agreed.
Dhruv nodded.
"Make sure he is prepared. Brief him thoroughly on the upcoming projects. I want no gaps in our operations while I'm away."
"I'll handle it," Sai assured, finishing his meal.
Once dinner was over, Dhruv retired to his room. He picked up his phone to call his best friend, Vedant Khoda, but it rang before he could dial. His sister's name flashed across the screen.
"Diyaa..." Dhruv greeted with a smile as he answered the call.
"Bhai..." Dhruv stiffened, hearing Diya's sobs on the other end.
"Diya, what is it? Why are you crying?" Dhruv asked, concern lacing his voice.
"Sid... Sid is cheating on me, bhai..." Diya cried, and Dhruv's eyes darkened with fury.
Cheating on his sister! Just like how their mother had been betrayed by their adulterous father.
"Diya..."
"It's the new nanny. She's so beautiful. She can wear the worst faded dresses and still look gorgeous. No wonder he fell for her," Diya sobbed, and Dhruv clenched his fists in anger.
Sidhant Kothari. A middle-class, struggling lawyer. Diya had met him during a trip to Mussoorie with her friends. They had fallen in love. Dhruv had been against the marriage, worrying that Sidhant had trapped Diya for her wealth. But Diya was stubborn, and thus, he had to agree to the marriage. He had always watched Sid with suspicion, waiting for him to mess up. But over the last five years, he never once faltered. He had been almost perfect, showing no interest in the Khuranna wealth, content with his little cottage and life there. Dhruv had started to believe in him...
"What do you want me to do, Diya? What should I do to him?" Dhruv asked coldly. In his rule book, there was only one justice for betrayal. And that was death. He imagined how painful a death he could give Sid for breaking his sister's heart.
"No, bhai. Don't hurt him. I want him back. I can't live without him," Diya cried, and Dhruv cursed under his breath.
"He cheated, Diya. Why do you want to live with him?" Dhruv asked furiously.
"I love him, bhai. I want him back," Diya sobbed.
"What do you expect me to do then?" Dhruv asked.
"I want her out of our life, bhai," Diya begged.
"Sack her, then," Dhruv said.
"I tried. He won't let me. He's always had issues with nannies looking after the kids. He never liked it. And now, when I said I was okay with not having a nanny around, he refused. Even the boys are attached to her. It's like they are a family, and I am the outsider," Diya cried.
"Damn! What should I do now?"
"Get rid of her from my life, bhai. Get her out of Mussoorie. Send her to some other place, please." Diya pleaded.
