Chapter 34
Okay, so I listen to Owl City when I write, so I kinda just wanted to write down which of his songs I connect to these characters
Dipper-Deer in the headlights (both the title and song)
Mabel- Shooting Star (more for the title) and Good Time (both title and song)
Demon Dipper-Silhouette (song)
Grunkle Stan- I'm Coming After You (Title)
Bill-Gold (title)
Stanley- Dreams and Disasters (title)
Anywho, on to the story!
~Dipper's POV~
Reverse Bill had jumped up and ran a hand through his hair. "W-what did I do? That-that wasn't me! W-"
I put a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry," I said. "I know the feeling."
"It was like I was controlling myself," he was saying. "But...I wasn't at the same time."
I shrugged. "So what are you going to do with him?"
"I'll leave him here. It's not like I can take him in. I don't belong in this dimention. It's seen as treason." Bill was ringing his hands together, looking like his old self. "We'd better get home."
I turned to Dipper. She looked like he was sleeping. "What about him?"
Bill sighed. "I'm not sure. The best thing we can do for him right now is take him out of the mindscape."
I nodded. "We should all get out of here," I said, looking at my family. They looked awful, like they didn't get enough sleep or food. I probably looked worse. When I was immortal, I didn't need either of those. My head was still ringing from impacting the wall and my throat was burning from when Bill had tried to kill me. I shivered. I almost died!
I was almost a demon.
I jumped. I turned to look at Dipper. He was conscious, more or less. I knelt down next to him. We can still communicate?
Dipper shrugged faintly. Were still in the mindscape. When we leave, it'll go away.
I nodded. Okay. I paused. So, where are we going to take you?
Dipper sighed. I guess I have to go back to mom and dad.
I swallowed. Do you think they'll...throw you in a mental hospital?
Dipper closed his eyes and curled up in a ball. I don't know. Probably. But...it'll be for the best.
I brought my knees up to my chest. I'm sorry I can't do anything.
No, Dipper said, opening his eyes. You've honestly done enough! If it wasn't for you guys, then I'd be a demon and probably be more insane than Bill ever was.
"Dipper," Mabel said behind me. I turned to see her, Stanley and Grunkle Stan standing around Bill. "It's time to go home."
"We need to take him home first."
"But the Mystery Shack's burnt to the ground," Mabel said. "Where-"
"No," I said. "Home. In California."
Mabel blinked, along with everyone else. "A-are you sure?" She asked, walking over to us.
We both nodded. Dipper tried to sit up, but I could tell he was having trouble. I glanced at Mabel and we both grabbed one of his arms and helped him up. He grunted slightly, but he tried to help us the best he could as we made our way towards Bill.
He met us halfway. Sweat was already pouring down Dipper's face. "Are you sure you're ready for this?" I asked him.
"The sooner I'm out of the mindscape, the better," Dipper said through gritted teeth.
I nodded. The next thing I knew, we were home in California. Well, at least it looked like home. I knew it wasn't, though. "I've got it from here," Dipper said, trying to make his way up to the front door. "You guys should probably go. I don't want to traumatize mom and dad any more then I have to."
Mabel nodded, then wrapped him in a hug. "I wish your sister could be here with you. And I'm sorry that I remind you of her."
Dipper hugged her back with a twitch of a smile. "You gave me Mabel back for a few days. I'm glad for that."
Mabel let go. Dipper turned to me. He smiled faintly. "It's still weird to see myself in front of me."
A smile tugged at the edge of my lips. "Yeah."
He started to turn away. "Oh, and make sure you stay away from Bill."
I laughed. "After this, I'll never make a deal with him again.
His smile faltered a little. "Yeah..."
"You okay?" I asked.
He shrugged. "I don't know much of anything anymore."
I couldn't help but understand how he felt. "Well, I guess this is goodbye ."
He nodded. "Yeah. You'd better go before mom and dad see you. Then they might think they're the insane ones."
I was about to argue that he wasn't insane, but I stopped. He really couldn't just walk away from everything that happened to him and feel perfectly normal afterwards. I sighed, turning to Bill. "Time to get back to our dimention."
Bill gave a small smile. "I thought you'd never ask!"
~Mabel's POV~
I cuddled up in my bed. I never imagined how much I could miss it! And food! Even the ac! It was good to be back.
The first few days that we were home, Dipper was either staring off into space or looking nervously over his shoulder to see if Bill was watching. Of course, he never was.
I heard Dipper sigh. I turned to look at him. His hands were behind his head and he was staring off the ceiling. "What's up, bro?"
He shrugged. "I don't know. It just feels...boring now."
"Boring?" I asked. "We've still got the rest of the summer to go! Remember all those things we haven't explored yet?"
He simply shrugged again. I sat up. "Are you still mad at me?"
He glanced over at me. "I don't think I was ever really mad at you. I think I was more mad that I was wrong, but I didn't want to admit it. So I took it out on you." He winced. "I'm sorry, Mabel."
I walked over to him and hit him with a pillow. "Hey!" He shouted. "What was that for?"
I smiled. "To show that I forgive you."
He stood up with a smirk and grabbed his own pillow. And that's how the pillow fight started. (I totally beat him.)
After I'd pinned Dipper to the ground and started to tickle him, he was laughing so hard I thought he'd hurt himself. I stopped and helped him up. "Did that help, Mr. Grumpy Pants?"
"I wasn't grumpy!" He said, trying to sound mad, but I could hear the happiness in his voice.
I nodded sarcastically. "Well, bro bro, I think we should go on a monster hunt tomorrow."
"But we don't have the journal," Dipper said.
"Who needs a journal?" I asked. "Besides, we haven't hung out with Soos or Wendy for weeks."
Dipper shrugged. "Well, okay."
I grabbed him in a hug. "Tomorrow, the mystery twins are back in action!"
I let him go with a gasp. "And we can take Waddles too!" I picked up my pig, hugging him.
Dipper gave a small smile. "Fine."
I set Waddles down. "Okay. Well, I'm gonna get some sleep. We've got a big day tomorrow."
We both got into our beds. I shut my lamp off and he shut off his.
"Goodnight, Mabel," Dipper said.
I smiled. "Goodnight, Dipper."

I needed to put a cute sibling moment in there!
And I honestly think this is more of Mabel's personality then I write a lot.
So, yes, this is the end, I'm sad to say.
I had a really fun time writing this and I'm glad that all of you liked it!
I'll spare you the speech, but I wouldn't have gotten this far without your guys!
And it's not the end for me! I love writing, so I still have a bunch of half written original stories and fanfics that I have to finish up! This is just one of many!
I'm so happy that you all loved this story!
Sorry, I'm rambling!
I hope you read my other stories, but I understand if you don't.
The end.
