Third Person POV
Another burst of cheers and applause erupted after the mayor cut the ceremonial ribbon and handed the gold scissors back to the organizer.
Kimmon immediately approached Plan.
"Why were you late?" he asked. "You promised not to be late."
"I'm sorry," Plan replied, "I couldn't find anything in my closet that I wanted to wear for this special occasion so I drove off to the mall to find one that I wanted."
"You're unbelievable," Kimmon replied, shaking his head.
Kimmon was about to say something else when Mean approached him.
"Kimmon, congratulations on your grand opening of this branch," Mean said, extending his hand to Kimmon, "I hope your business will thrive. You found the best location in town for it."
Kimmon accepted Mean's extended hand and shook it.
"Thank you, Mean, yes, I have high hopes that this place will thrive, and who knows I might open another franchise in another part of town. Why, there you are, Copter!"
Kimmon extended his hand to Copter. "Thank you for accepting my invitation. I look forward to working with you this coming Friday."
"You're welcome, sir, and I look forward to Friday as well," Copter replied, accepting Kimmon's hand.
"You don't have to call me sir," Kimmon protested, ignoring Mean who was rolling his eyes upward, "we will be on equal footing in my office. I don't consider you as a subordinate since you will be something of a consultant for me."
"How ever you wish it, sir, I mean...Kim...Kimmon," Copter said a little awkwardly.
Mean resented how quickly Copter agreed to call Kimmon by his first name. He remembered how he had a hard time getting Copter to call him by his first name instead of 'sir'.
Mean's attention then turned to the cute young man standing silently by Kimmon's side, listening and watching the little interactions among Kimmon and Mean and Copter.
Kimmon noticed Mean's eyes resting on Plan.
"Oh, how remiss of me," Kimmon exclaimed, "Mean, I would like to introduce you to Plan."
Mean extended his hand to Plan and Plan accepted it and shook it lightly.
"Plan, this is Mean Phiravich," said Kimmon, "he is the owner of the business from whom I bought this franchise."
"My pleasure to meet you, sir," Plan said.
"Just call me Mean," said Mean with a smile and a wink.
At that moment the organizer approached Kimmon.
"I think the mayor is waiting for you to join him at his table," the organizer whispered to Kimmon, "his staff mentioned something like they have to move on to another event right after this."
"Excuse me," Kimmon said to Plan, "I need to join the mayor right now. Go ahead and mingle with the other guests."
Kimmon excused himself to Mean and Copter as well before walking away from their little group.
"So, are you the one who's gonna be working with Kimmon on Fridays?" Plan asked Copter.
"Yes," Copter replied, extending his hand to Plan, "My name is Copter."
"Pleased to meet you, Copter," said Plan, "my name is Plan."
"I know," said Copter with a smile, "are you business partners with Kimmon?"
Plan smiled, "Yes, we're partners."
The mayor interacted with Kimmon for a few minutes and then announced that he and his entourage had to leave for another event.
Kimmon bowed and thanked him.
"No need to see me off," the mayor told Kimmon, "go ahead and mingle with your other guests."
Kimmon was busy mingling with the guests and did not notice the mayor approaching Plan.
He and Plan stood near the door for a little bit, talking and shaking hands. Then the mayor turned to his staff and told the staff to hand Plan his official contact card.

Plan bowed and took it. The mayor placed his hand on Plan's shoulder and made the 'call me' gesture before walking away, accompanied by his bodyguards.
Plan pocketed the mayor's official card, looking a little confused, and then went around looking for Kimmon.
He was so intent on looking for Kimmon that he walked right into Mean's chest, making Mean spill his champagne a little bit on the hem of his suit.
Plan quickly whipped out his handkerchief and bent to wipe the liquid off, while murmuring his apologies.
"You don't have to do that, it's okay," Mean said, grabbing Plan's wrist. "If you want to make up for what you did, why don't you sit with me for a while over there and we can get to know each other."
"Okay," Plan said, letting Mean lead him to a corner table.
Where the hell was Kimmon, Plan was thinking as he sat down with Mean by a corner.
"Where's Copter?" Plan asked Mean, just to start their conversation.
"Kimmon asked him to accompany him to the back office so he could show him some company records," Mean replied, "I have a good mind to already start charging him consultation fees."
Plan laughed. "A businessman will always be a businessman even in the midst of a social gathering."
Meanwhile in the back office, Kimmon was reaching for a binder from a shelf above a wide mahogany desk.
The binder slipped from Kimmon's hand and Copter rushed to catch it, bringing him very close to Kimmon that their bodies were touching.
Kimmon automatically placed his arms around Copter, looking down on Copter's face, his own face wearing an unreadable expression.
