Chapter 9
Here goes nothing. "Hey Joey, can I talk to you about something?" I ask quietly. Joey nods, "Of course, Alli, I'm always here for you!"
We go upstairs to the guest room. I get the butterflies in my stomach again. Alli, just tell him, you can't back down now.
"Joey.." I start. He nods, "Yes? Continue." I sigh, "Joey, I uh really like you, maybe we could be more than friends?"
Joey grins, "Oh my gosh, Caleb was right!" He picks me up, "Allison, I've had feelings for you for a while now, I'm just too darn shy. I love you," he says placing his lips on my forehead.
"So are we a thing now?" I ask, grinning like a maniac. He nods, "Yeah, I guess we are!"
Joey laces our fingers together, and we happily skip downstairs. We enter the living room, seeing Aladdin on the TV.
"How could you guys watch this without me?" Joey pouts. Chad playfully punches him, "Lighten up, my brother!"
"Alan," Joey whines, "Chad punched me!" Alan rolls his eyes, and ignores them.
Chad takes advantage of this time to punch Joey several more times.
"Alan," Joey whines again. Alan yet again ignores him. "Lighten up, princess," I sigh, sitting on Chad.
"What is it with you and sitting on me?" Chad asks. I shrug, "I guess you just make a comfy couch."
He groans, "Allison, I hate you." I smile, "Love you Chadwick!"
He knocks me off of him, and lays me on the couch. He tickles me in every ticklish spot I have. "What have I told you about that name, young lady?"
I giggle, "Chaddy please stop." He smirks, "Not until you admit that I'm the best member in the band." I gasp for air, "No way, punk!"
"Then I guess I'll just torture you forever then." He continues tickling me. "Chad stop," I gasp. He smirks, "Only if you say it."
"Joey! Caleb!" I say, gasping for more air. Caleb and Joey tackle Chad to the ground.
"I'm free!" I exclaim, running to hide behind Alan.
Of course, Chad quickly gets up, and searches the room for me. "Allison Mary Grimm, I will find you. When I do, it won't be pretty," he says.
I try not to laugh, so he won't find me. Next thing I know, Chad is trying to attack me, but Alan is pushing him away.
"Come on, man, stop picking on an innocent girl," Alan says. Caleb walks over next to Chad, "Innocent? Allison is FAR from innocent. You should've seen what she did to us earlier!"
Alan shakes his head, "Guys I'm not afraid to pummel you." Caleb looks shocked, but Chad doesn't. "Caleb, don't freak, the girls are here. He can't do anything while they're watching," Chad whispers. Caleb looks relieved at that thought.
"Girls!" Alan calls out. "Yes daddy?" Avery says. "How about you and Presley go play with the doggies?" The girls look excited, and run off laughing.
"I wasn't expecting that," Chad says looking more frightened. I sneak out from behind Alan, while the guys share panicked looks.
I walk into the next room over, Joey is in here with AJ, and Presley.
"Oh hey love," he says, clearing me a seat next to him. "Hey Joe, so you know my brother is probably going to lecture you?" I ask him. He nods, "Figures." I smile, "Hey, could be worse, the other two could be here too!"
Caleb, as if on cue, walks in. "Ladies, I'd like to speak to Joseph privately please." Presley and AJ run back to the other room, but I don't move.
"Come on sis," Caleb whispers," you knew it would happen. Just be glad Scott and Micah aren't here, they used to embarrass Charis all the time." I smile, "Okay fine, but go easy on him, bubby."
I go over to the other room, and sit down next to Charis. "What did Scott, Micah, and Caleb say to your first boyfriend?" I ask her. She laughs, "They basically told him, if you hurt our sister we'll hurt you."
I laugh, "At least we know they love us." She nods, "Yeah. But, tip, don't EVER tell a guy you have three older brothers. Just let him meet them." I smile, "Lemme guess, you have personal experience in that area?"
"Yeah, I told this cute guy one time, and I never saw him again," she says. I smile, "Well, that's a helpful tip then!"
Caleb's POV
Since Scott and Micah aren't here, I have to say enough to Joey for the three of us. Just because he's my friend, doesn't mean he won't make any stupid mistakes.
"So listen, you know I love Alli very much, right?" I ask him. Joey nods, "Yeah, I love her too." I smile, "Good. Don't ever break her heart! I don't care how good friends we are, or how long I've know you, do something to hurt her and you're dead!"
Joey looks slightly frightened, "Chill out, Grimmy," he says. I smile, "Okay. You're a good guy, Joe, and one of my best friends, I know you'll take care of her."
