Whomever thought it was going to be a good idea to put together a bunch of teens in a beach house, was crazy. What a great way to start my birthday!: I'm laying in my bed trying to get some sleep while I can hear Jamie and Tommy talking about the girls they will "score" in our last year of high school. I can't help but feel jealous. Tommy is my brother, I don't want to know those things and Jamie is.... well I don't even know what Jamie is to me anymore. To him I know I am his 'best friend', the one chick he can hold hands with minus having a relationship. To me..... Jamie has become more than a friend, I am truly attracted to him and I want more than friendship with him so I just need to figure out how I will make him feel attracted to me.

As I'm tossing and turning to get some of my beauty sleep the two idiots next door start laughing hysterically. So I do what I know best.

I get a shoe from the floor and throw it to their wall.

"Shut up you freaks!!! It's two in the morning!!!! I need to sleep!!"

Their laughter stops and I can hear them whispering. Then I hear some steps and a soft knock on my door. I know it's Jamie. He wants to apologize. It's in his nature.

"Millie, open up"

He whispers and I roll my eyes and walk to the door not even bothering to wear my night robe, I open the door.

He first looks at me in the eyes and then he scans my body. He intakes a breath when he sees my tiny shorts I'm sleeping in and the tank top that isn't fully covering my belly button.

I suddenly remembered one of Simona's advices to attract the boys' attention: 'Work the hair'

So I bring my hair to the side in the sexiest way I can manage and I guess it works because he gulps loudly.

"What can I do for you, James?"

"James? You must be really mad!"

He gifts me with one of his cute smiles.

"I am! You two are impossible!!! I need to sleep!"

"I'm sorry..... Happy Birthday!"

He smiles and pulls me into his arms enveloping my frame in his strong arms. I can't explain the feeling of completeness, how I feel safe in his arms. I whisper to his ear.

"Thank you"

Then he kisses me on the cheek and gives me his shy smile.

"Do you want me to hang out with you until you fall asleep?"

He comes closer still looking at my boob area and not to my face.

I bring my hair to the other side and sigh loudly.

"Hummmm, I'm not sure if that's wise, James"

I give him my sexiest look and I see him going weak on the knees then he recovers and says.

"Amelia.....You're playing with fire"

He points at me while faking a dangerous tone.

"I know, don't you wanna play?"

I smile at him, back up into the bedroom and blow him a kiss.

"Good night, James"

I close the door lightly and I could hear him behind the door.

"Holly Fuck!"

And all I could think is 'I know!'  And the fire going all over my body.

Sleeping wasn't the easiest task after flirting with Jamie so as soon as I heard noises around the house I decided to come out of bed and look for something to eat then hit the beach.

I wear my yellow bikini, shorts and flip flops, then I put on a tiny tank top and walk out of my room.

Once I'm on the first floor I can hear someone singing in the kitchen and I am sure who the owner of the voice is, so I decide to invite Jamie to go to the beach with me.

When I enter the kitchen I see he's not alone, his dad is reading the paper contently.

"Good morning"

Jamie turns to look at me and drops the toast he is holding.

"Shit!"

Jim turns to look at his son, then looks at me and smiles.

"Good morning beautiful Amelia! Happy Birthday!"

I smile and go to his open arms.

"Thank you Dr. D."

He gives me a tight hug and winks at me.

"Aren't you going to wish Millie happy birthday, son?"

Jamie's smile grows and nods. He takes my hand and pushes me towards him involving me into a bear hug then he rests his arms around my waist and leans back to look me in the eyes.

"Happy Birthday Mills"

I smile and peek at his plate full of toast and scrambled eggs, reading my mind he offers me some.

"I'm making a special breakfast for you, so don't eat all that"

I nod while biting into a toast.

"Do you kids have anything planned for Millie's birthday?"

I bring my attention back to Jamie's dad.

"Not really. Right now I just feel like going for a swim"

Suddenly, the kitchen door burst open and in came my dad followed by my mom. Both of them carrying many bags.

"Isn't that the birthday girl?"

"Hi daddy!"

My dad drops his bags and comes to give me a tight hug. I giggle at the touch of his beard against my skin.

"Happy Birthday beautiful girl! I love you!"

"Thank you daddy. Love you more!"

"Now, can I hug my princess?"

I smile and go to my mom's embrace. She hugs me so tightly that makes me feel loved and cared for.

"Happy Birthday my beautiful baby girl! May the Lord bless you with many reasons to smile"

I can't help the tears escaping me. They're great parents, the best in the world.

"Breakfast is ready"

Jamie sets the plate full of pancakes and his dad stands up to get the bottle of juice from the fridge.

Then Tommy, Liesa and Jess burst into the kitchen and come hug me. I am one lucky girl! I have all my loved ones in just one room.

After breakfast, Jamie, Tommy, Jess and I made our way to the beach. Liesa ditched us again! She really is into that boy she's been hanging out with.

"I think it's funny nobody has given me any presents"

"Excuse me?"

Jamie stops walking and turns to look at me.

"I said, I think it's...."

"I heard what you said, what I'm trying to say is why would you expect presents? You've already had a birthday breakfast!"

I take a moment to look at his expression. He's being shady. He interrupted me for no reason. He's hiding something. It might be a surprise so I better let it go. I always ruin surprises.

He eyes me with some concern because I'm taking too long to reply to his comment. So I shrug and continue walking. I hear him sighing in relieve. Now I am sure that something is up.

We arrive at the beach and I lay down my beach towel while the boys fight with the umbrella.

"Come on Millie! Let's go for a swim while these boys handle the umbrella"

I giggle while taking off my shorts.

"For Fuck's sake!!!"

We all turn to see Jamie jumping up and down while holding his finger and swearing away.

Tommy started laughing at his misery.

"You see, Jamie boy. That's what happens when you check out my sister instead of concentrating on the task in front of you"

Jamie pots and I immediately melt.

"Stop that Tommy! He's hurt! How can I help you?"

I go to Jamie and hold his hand between mine trying not to touch his hurt finger.

"You could kiss it better"

I drop his hands and walk off rolling my eyes.

"He's really into you, you know?"

I shake my head to Jessica as I carefully step onto the cool water. A shiver running down my spine.

"No, he's not. He's just goofing around. He just sees me as a friend"

"As a girlfriend, you mean"

She splashes water on me making me yelp.

"JESS!!! STOP IT!"

Her splashing doesn't end and her laughter becomes louder. Suddenly I feel a couple of strong arms holding me by the waist and lifting me.

"JAMIE!!!!"

And then all I see is water.

Normally, I am a good swimmer, but when you are thrown into the water by surprise, your lungs are not filled with enough air so your mouth opens by instinct to grasp for some air, and all you get is water into your lungs. Yeap...... that's what happened to me. Once I felt the bottom of the ocean under my feet, I pushed myself upwards with so much strength that my head collapsed with Jamie's chin.

Then I saw stars.

"Mills! Mills!Are you ok?"

"Oh my Lord Jamie! You can be such an asshole!"

"SHUT UP JESS! I'm trying to see if she's okay!"

All I could do was cough, cough very hard so I could expel the water from my lungs and at the same time hold onto my head to release the pain. At that moment I agreed with Jess, Jamie can be such an asshole!

Once I stopped coughing Jamie asked again.

"Are you okay?"

"What do you think, Einstein! Are you trying to kill me?"

"Of course not! Here, let me help you out"

He put my arm around his neck and held onto my waist to help me out. Once we were on the sand, I let go of his hold and walked towards my towel. Suddenly I was pissed off.

"Mills, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you! I was trying to make you laugh"

When my eyes met his, and I saw how truly sorry he was, I shrugged off.

"Yeah, I know, but you tend to forget I am a girl and not a lad. I can get hurt, you know?"

"I know. Of course you are a girl! A very beautiful one! I would never mistaken you with a lad!"

I could feel the heat coming up my cheeks, we've been flirting a lot lately, but the intensity in his eyes when he called me beautiful, made me shiver and blush.

Silence was followed by his last statement, and I needed to break the ice before the silence became weird.

Then Jess' words came to mind.

"He's really into you, you know?"

Rubbing the spot in my head that had encountered Jamie's chin I stated.

"What a fine Birthday present, Dornan!"

He gave me his shy smile, the one that could stir me up. He sat in front of me and held on my cheeks.

He slowly brought his face closer to mine, his lips hovering over mine. Suddenly my world stopped, this was all I wanted in life, being kissed by this handsome boy. Maybe, having him as my first.....

"Hey, where did you go?"

I stop staring at his lips and meet his eyes. The closeness making me blush a deeper shade of red.

"Sorry, I was just thinking..."

He sat next to me and I hated the distance between us. I have just ruined the possibility of having a perfect birthday kiss.

"I'm all ears Mills, what's on your mind?"

"I don't know...."

"Don't you trust me?"

"A lot. Maybe that's why I wanted to ask this.... but you know what? Forget it! I'm not ready"

"God! Millie! I hate when you do that! Just tell me already! I'd do anything for you, you know that"

After running an exasperated hand through his wet locks, he held my hand and kissed it gently.

"Yes, but I can't just tell you, I'm too embarrassed"

Jess and Tommy's laughter caught my eye. They were playing some sort of tag in the sea. I smiled at their exchange.

"Amelia, will you tell me already?"

I looked back at Jamie and a ray of sunshine was shining on him and his perfect tan made my body explode in some strange need. He looked so edible, so handsome, so perfect. Before I could stop myself, I was lunging on him.

Our lips met and although he was surprised, he responded quickly, grabbing me by my waist and laying me down the towel, with him hovering over me. I opened my lips leaving a gap for his tongue come to meet mine. We deepened the kiss just enough to savor the moment. The kiss was just perfect. Jamie nibbles my bottom lip and then rests his forehead on mine.

"Gosh! I've been dying to do this again ever since that day in my basement"

I smile remembering the day. I was so hurt, rejected. Jamie made it clear that he wanted to be my friend and anything else.

Now this kiss changes the game between us. He is and always be my best friend, that would never change.

"So, about that thing you were going to tell me...."

"You won't let it go, will you?"

He shook his head and pecked my lips.

I want you to tell me, I need you to trust me. Don't hide things from me, I hate it.

"I'm not hiding, it's just embarrassing......"

"Don't be, baby"

He removed a strand of hair from my forehead and gives me a reassuring smile.

"It's just that, my body, it's been changing, and I....... I have this need, and I want it to be you"

"Me? For what? You need to be more specific, Mills"

I gulp and square my shoulders to find my courage.

Here it goes....

"I want you to satiate that need.......I want you to be my first.....My first lover....."
