Draco's POV

The doctors rushed in, and I sat in my spot frozen as Harry looked up.
"Why do they need to go in there?" He asked. I shook my head.
"No idea." I said. Harry got up, and tugged on my hand. I stood up and walked over to the room with him.
"Well, let's see what happened." Harry said.
We walked over and saw doctors rushing around the room. I looked down the hallway to see Remus running down.
"Just talked to the doctors... They're saying her body is failing." He said, looking in through the window on the door.
"Failing?" Harry asked.
"Her body isn't responding well to labor." Remus said, peeking once again through the door.
"Oh no..." I said quietly.
"Oh no indeed. She's passed out. They had to rush in to cut the baby out, like in the muggle world. Thank god she's only had contractions, otherwise that would be complicated." He rambled. I looked at Harry with an eyebrow raised.
"I'll tell you about a C-Section later." He whispered to me. I nodded.
"What are we going to do?" Harry asked. Remus shook his head.
"Not sure. Let nature take its course," Remus said.
"Why is her body failing?" I asked.
"They say that she had too many injuries from being an auror. Didn't mention that she'd probably have some problems with child birth. God! What did I get this kid into?" He sighed. "All we can do is pray that they'll be safe." We nodded, and sat back down.
"I hope they'll be okay," Harry said as he looked at the tv. I kissed his head.
"They will be." I said. He shook his head.
"I wouldn't think so. Being an auror is really dangerous. If she got injured that badly, then i don't know if they'll be okay." Harry said. I rubbed his shoulder.
"What are we going to do while we wait?" Harry asked. "Oh fuck I forgot to get the baby gift. Shit its at our dorm. Quick, apparate me." Harry said as he shot up.
I got up, and hugged him to my chest. I apparated us to Hogsmeade, and kissed his forehead before we went inside.
We ran through the doors, and got to the slytherin common rooms. Once we got there, Harry sprinted up to our dorm. I sat down, catching my breath.
"So... How's teddy?" Pansy asked as she sat down next to me.
"Not that great... Tonks' body is failing." I said. She gasped. "Yeah,"
"That's horrible! Are they okay?" She asked. Blaise came over and kissed her forehead before sitting down.
"Well, Tonks is unconscious and the baby's gotta be cut out. But other than that is say everything's just fantabulous." I said, and sat back. Blaise looked at me with a raised eyebrow.
"So the birth isn't going that great." He said. I nodded.
"What is taking Harry so long?" I asked as I looked up the stairs.
"I don't know." Pansy said.
I sighed and sat back in the seat.
"Draco!" I heard Harry yell. He ran down the stairs, and came over. "Found it."
"Here we go," I sighed, and ran out of the room. All this running isn't natural for a normal Draco Malfoy. Damn.
"Alright. When we get back... I'm sitting down." I panted. I could hear Harry chuckle a little through pants.
"Ok." He said.
I hugged him to my chest, feeling his fast heartbeat, and apparated us back to St. Mungos.
Once we got back, I flopped onto a chair. I sighed at the nice feeling of my legs getting a break, and sunk into the chair. Harry soon came over and sat down next to me.
"Now we've just gotta wait." Harry said.
I heard yelling from the room with Tonks, and footsteps all over.
I felt Harry snuggle into my side, so I lifted up my arm to let him be more comfortable. He pressed his face in my neck, and kissed it gently.
"I love you," he said. I leaned down and kissed his head.
"I love you too." I told him. I felt him grin into my neck. He breathed out and wrapped his arms around me. I pressed my cheek to his head, and looked around the room.
Everyone was looking at us, except the kids. They were either playing with toys or watching tv. All the adults were smiling at us or murmuring with someone next to them, then looking at us and smiling. Sure, there was one dad who took his daughter out when he saw us cuddle up to each other, but whatever.
I kissed Harry's head again before I looked at the tv. It had some cartoon on, so I tried to see what was going on. All I saw was a sponge in pants and some old squid.
"Babe, what's that?" I asked as I pointed to the TV.
"SpongeBob, love." Harry murmured into my neck.
"Oh." I said, and looked at it. "What the fuck." I squinted at the tv. Harry chuckled.
"What episode is it?" He asked, not breaking contact between my neck and his face.
"Don't know. It's just the yellow one laughing." I said.
"Descriptive." He said. I hit his arm playfully, and he laughed into my neck.
"I'm taking a nap." I said as I laid my head on his.
"Night." He mumbled.
I wrapped my arms around Harry, and pulled him close. I pressed my cheek to his head, and I felt his breath fan my
Neck.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I love you too." He whispered back. I fell into a dreamless sleep.
"Harry, Draco." I heard a distant voice say. The voice kept chanting our names. I felt a little push on my arm, and my body wouldn't respond. Finally I felt a kiss on my lips, and that's what woke me up.
"Time to get up." I heard Harry say.
I opened my yes and blinked a few times.
"Hi." Harry said.
"Hey sweetheart." I mumbled groggily.
"It's time for you two to come with me." Remus said. I didn't even know he was there.
"Okay." I said, and got up.
Harry held my hand as we walked down the hallway, and finally got to the hospital room.
We walked in, and saw a bundle of blankets in one of the doctors arms. Remus walked over, and gently took it before walking back.
"Meet Teddy." He said gently. Harry awes and walked over, pulling me along with him. No objection, because the baby was cute.
"He looks so familiar." Harry said, then gasped. "My dream! I saw him in a dream or vision or something. I can tell, because of his eyes. Light blue and violet. How'd he get those?"
"Well, with Tonks being a Metamorphmagus, his eyes are two colors. He'll be able to change them in a few months." Remus said, voice cracking with emotion. "He's beautiful."
"C-can I hold him?" Harry asked. Remus smiled to him and gave the baby to him. I placed my hands on his shoulders from behind his back. "Oh my gosh hi I'm Harry." He said. I chuckled a bit and kissed his head. "And that's Draco." I smiled and looked at Teddy.
His eyes were huge compared to the rest of his face, which looked adorable. His nose was tiny, and he had dimples when he giggled (which he did once or twice).
"He's so cute." I said softly.
"God dammit I want a baby." Harry said as he played with little chestnut whisps of hair on Teddy's head.
"Well, after were married we can have one." I said. I hugged his waist from behind, and rested my head on his shoulder. Remus came back over, skin three shades paler than normal.
"Guys..." He started. He took teddy in his arms, supporting his head with one arm and holding on to the body carefully with the other. "Come with me."
I grabbed Harry's hand and walked to the hospital bed. We saw Tonks, body covered with a blanket up to her neck, and very pale. I looked up with my eyes wide at what words came out of Remus' mouth.

"Her body took the birth terribly. Her heart failed and well... She's passed away."
