"It's 1am" Navya stated as she opened the door raising her brows.

"We lost track of the time." Nandini replied sheepishly and they both entered inside seeing the sight of Cabir laying on the couch.

"Is he dead?" Manik asked expecting an an answer from Navya but she just shrugged.

"Navya didn't let me sleep because she was excited to hear about your date." Cabir sat up straight releasing a yawn.

They chuckled and manik went to change. The trio settled in the living room where nandini was filling them up with the details.

After ten minutes she got up to pour herself some water.

"Oh we have something else to tell you" Cabir exclaimed rubbing his hands together and nandini looked at him confused.

"I knocked her up" Cabir mentioned it randomly pointed his finger towards navya.

Nandini gasped and dropped her glass on the floor. Navya just shook her head at his bluntness and picked up the glass carefully.

"You can close your mouth now"

"You're you are pregnant? Like a baby is growing inside you like this man child is going to be a dad? Oh my god this is---this is too much"

"Manik Manik Manikkkkkkkk" Nandini started yelling frantically circling around.

"What happened? Did you not get enough likes on Instagram or is your Sephora shipment late?" Manik made himself comfortable on the bean bag real slow.

Her face burnt due to anger and Cabir burst out laughing.

"He knows you so well nandini it freaks me out sometimes" Cabir hit her with a pillow.

"Yes because we are soulmates so it's his duty to know me!" She mumbled with a sarcastic smile and manik had an amused smile.

"Your little romance is making me sick urgh!" Navya urged and lied flat on the fluffy carpet.

"Cabir tell him what you just told me." Nandini demanded standing in front of him and he looked at her bored.

"Navya are you okay? You look sick like legit sick like your entire face is green sick." manik looked at her concerned and she didn't say anything as she was too tired to say anything.

"Not sick just pregnant-----I think that's the same thing right?" Cabir said thoughtfully and nandini flicked his head.

"Shut up dumbass"

"Your support is what I live for Cabir!" Navya spit the words out.

"Whoah! Congratulations you two starting your own family? I'm really happy for you guys." Manik congratulated them but nandini could obviously tell he was sounding a tiny bit sad.

"Are we getting married or I'm going to be thr girl whose dumbass boyfriend knocked her up?" Navya snapped sitting straight.

"No babe we are obviously getting married" cabir stated and instantly got up to kiss her cheek.

"Dibs on maid of honour." Nandini yelled excitedly clapping her hands together.

"I thought you hated weddings?" Navya commented cuddled in Cabir's arms.

"Nope love them." She grinned and obviously didn't miss a small smile from manik.

"So if we are revealing stuff then I've something too--- I'm leaving tomorrow!" Manik announced and her face immediately fell but she concealed it.

She went near him and made herself comfortable in his arms. The bean bag was small so her lower body was lying on his lap and her head on his shoulders. He held her tightly and kissed her forehead.

"She's tired so we are gonna go." Cabir said quietly looking at Navya who was going to pass out. He picked her up to which she didn't resist and melted in his arms leaving them alone.

There was an eerie silence no was willing to break it.
After few minutes manik pulled her on his lap, her legs dangling on the side and she hid her face in his chest clutching his shirt tightly.

"I don't think I'll ever be able to show you how much I love you!" He whispered ever so softly she was not sure if she even heard it.
"I don't think I've even shown you with my actions"

"You've done more than anyone has ever done for me, you've shown me in more than one way how much you love me and I don't think you'll ever know what that means to me because you've saved me from myself more than once." She uttered in hushed tone and looked at him with glossy eyes.

She kissed his chest lightly and they both just lied there absorbing each other's presence, living this moment which was just more intimate than any physical intimacy.

"Listen I've kept your ticket in your carry bag and passport is in there too. Do you want some gums too?" Nandini asked zipping his bag.

"No I'm good" He answered typing frantically on his phone.

"And don't get coffee at the airport or you'll get sick again and I've kept some skittles in there too" She briefed him and he just nodded. She finally took a breath of relief and checked the time.

Fifteen minutes more and he's leaving.

"Look at you behaving like a married couple already" cabir interjected their little coup(ly) conversation.

"It's still early Cabir how don't you ever get tired?" She crossed her arms irritated.

"He's just appreciating your wifey skills sugarplum." Manik threw an arm around her and kissed her cheek which instantly made her smile.

"Let's go chop chop or you're going to be late but you're already late manik three hours before the flight how hard is that? You're already ten minutes behind the schedule." Navya barged in and stuffed a ham sandwich in manik's mouth.

"Navya and her occasional OCD - A better love story than twilight!" Cabir sighed and everyone chuckled but she was too busy feeding manik.

"Yes just eat it here only airport food is expensive you know, I mean I'm not getting gold with that food right?" Nandini chided.

"Yeah I won't be able to afford that" Manik said sarcastically.

When their unnecessary banter were done it was time for him to leave.

"I'll drop you." Nandini yelled suddenly making everyone jump and ran to get her keys.

After navya's emotional outburst, few tears, ten minutes long hug, and with Cabir's manly pat on the shoulder later they were driving off to the airport.

Nandini was driving so she took his hand in her's and rested them on his lap. Her making the first move made him so happy so he kissed her hand which made her smile.

They reached and it was time for him to go. They were standing at the entrance gate face to face.
She didn't say anything just stood on her toes and placed her lips on his.

He was clearly shocked but pulled her closer sucking her bottom lip. He pulled back but only to kiss her  again.

"Just a little something to remember until I come back." She whispered over his lips.

"Soon"

"Soon" She repeated.

"Perhaps soon can be our always!" He grinned and she slapped his shoulder.

"Do not go all Augustus Waters on me just leave already." She pushed him to the entrance and she immediately turned around not wanting to see him leave because she hate goodbyes.

"Hey Nandini?" His voice made her turn around. They were standing at a distance but his voice was still clear to her. She looked at him confused and raised her brows.

"I love you" He mouthed which made her grin widely.

Maybe this goodbye isn't that bad.

Two weeks later

"I think I'm dying" Navya groaned sprawled all over the couch.

"No I think it's the winter depression" nandini mumbled sketching her designs on the floor.

"No it's my cramps what is wrong with you?" She asked looking at her skeptically.

"But aren't you pregnant? "

"Pregnancy cramp is a real thing Nandini did you fail your biology class or what? And it's October, it's still fall winter is like a month ago." She scrutinised her as Nandini was dressed in an oversized sweater, socks and caps.

"What? I'm cold blooded okay I feel cold more than other human beings" She explained herself when they heard the door unlocking and footsteps approached them.

"I brought you donuts" Cabir exclaimed putting the boxes down on the table and navya's face immediately lit up.

"Sugar glazed?" She asked hopefully.

"Sugar glazed" He replied and her eyes shined.

"And what did you get me lover boy?" Nandini asked supporting her palms on her face.

"Cafe mocha with heavy cream!" He replied and gave her the coffee.

"I think I might cry a little thank you" She said dramatically and took it from him.

"He can be nice when he wants to be by the way these are so good I'll let you off the hook for not cuddling with me yesterday." Navya casually mentioned her mouth full of sugary goods and he rolled his eyes taking a seat besides her.

They all got busy doing their own thing when Cabir's phone pinged.

"Oh my god" He hollered.

"What?" They both asked in unison.

"Manik is getting married"
