We both get out of the closet and we head towards the cafeteria.

"You know you can't tell anyone right?"

James pouted, "Why? I'm with the girl I've liked for two years now and I have to keep it a secret?"

"Just let me tell June," I said with a small smile.

He sighs and we walk into the cafeteria. 

"Oh my god did you two finally make up?" June asked.

I laughed, "Yeah. This idiot locked me in the janitor's closet with him until I forgave him."

She rolled her eyes with a smirk on her face, "Well at least everything is good now."

At the end of the day, we all head home in my car and I drop them off at their house before heading down to mine.

Once I get home I finish my homework and then facetime June.

"I still don't get why you didn't stay over," she said right as she answered.

"Well, I didn't want to go over today. Besides, I have something to tell you."

"What is it?!" she exclaimed with a smile.

"Is James in there with you?"

She looked around the room, "Nah he went up to his room. Now, what's up?"

I smiled, "I'm dating James."

She squealed and then started rambling. But the main thing I heard was her yelling for James to get downstairs.

"What is it?" James groaned.

He had been tackled pretty hard during practice today so I'm not surprised.

"YOU AND DEMI ARE DATING?!" she exclaimed.

James looked at the phone that I was on and he shook his head with a smirk to me.

"Yep, she fell for her best friend's brother."

"Best friend's brother is the one for me, yeah yeah, punk rock drummer and he's six foot three." June sang with a smile.

"Are you seriously singing a song from Victorious?" I asked getting her attention back to the fact I was on the phone.

"What? It's completely true. I'm your best friend, you like my brother, he's a punk rock drummer, and he's six foot three. Seriously that song was unintentionally made for you two." 

I laughed and shook my head. I got off of my bed and I grabbed my keys. I drove over to their house and I walked in. They gave me a spare key, so what?

I hung up the phone and yelled threw the house.

"Yo guys I'm here!"

I walked around and found them in the living room. June had James in a headlock and was messing with his hair as if she was the older sibling. June may be smaller but she is strong, don't let her appearance fool you.

"Hey, can you not mess with my boyfriend's hair?" I asked getting their attention.

June squealed again and ran over to me and James fell to the ground since he was let go off so suddenly.

I shook my head and walked over to him and helped him up.

"That's how you told her?! Facetime? God woman I was going to get killed." James said with a groan.

I smiled and sat down on the couch, "Sorry but I wasn't doing it in the car or at school, that would've been too much."

"Alright, everyone, shush. You do realize how sudden all this seems, right?" June asked.

I shrugged, "Yeah, but you remember when we were thirteen my little crush on him don't you June?"

She laughed, "Oh yeah. That felt so weird. But now I guess I sort of expected it."

I rolled my eyes and threw a pillow at her so she could sit down on the floor. She likes sitting down on the floor. It's weird so don't ask me why.

We all talked for a long time and we all studied for a test we had this Friday.

It's a few days before homecoming and the afternoon announcements have just started.

"Good afternoon, Griffins! Only a few announcements today, but they are all about the wonderful Homecoming! First off, the game is Friday night starting at seven, but the court will be presented and announced at six-thirty. Remember, students get a discount and you only have to pay four dollars to get in unlike the normal eight. Second, remember the dance is on Saturday, from seven to ten. And lastly, our homecoming electives."

The student who does announcements said the names. The freshmen electives, the sophomore electives, and then the junior electives. June was of course elected as well as her boyfriend who she started dating during the two months I was mad at James.

"And now our senior electives. They are...James Johnson and...wait, what?"

You could hear people murmuring around the microphone but you couldn't understand it. Eventually, they started talking again.

 "They are James Johnson and Demi Louis!"

"What?!" I exclaimed. 

That never happens. Usually, the queen is in her grade and if her boyfriend or whatever isn't in that grade, they go with their best friend. I'm confused but I guess it's changed.

"The queen and king will be announced at Friday nights game! Electives, please look at your emails and fill in the forms!"

It's Friday night and six-thirty.

"Good evening Griffins! And may I announce the homecoming electives!"

He started to announce every elective. We started off on cars. He said our names and who we were with. It was basically (blank girl) and (blank boy) escorted by (blank driver). It really was amazing to be in the thing I had seen so many times.

After the band did the school song they got information and the announcer announced everyone once again. But we walked through the center of the field, and he announced everything that we filled out in the form.

It basically was who we are, our parents, who we are with, what we do in the school, what our hobbies are, and what we want to do after high school.

Once everyone had been announced, the announcer started his last sentence.

"Now your homecoming king and queen are...drumroll please," multiple drummers start playing, "James Johnson and Demi Louis!"

Everyone cheered and the announcer made an announcement about how the king and queen dance would be held tomorrow night.

A crown was placed on both of our heads and I was handed a huge bouquet of flowers. Once everything had sort of calmed down, June came over to us.

"The only person I would be happy to lose to," she said as she gave me a hug.

I laughed a little, "Thanks, June."

She nodded and smiled and gave James a small punch in the shoulder. He laughed and did the same thing back and headed back to the field. And got ready to play.
