After what felt like ages of greeting people we know and the ones we don't, we finally entered the backyard.

"How many people will be here?" I gulp. Everywhere is full of people holding small red cups and some are in the pool already. I wondered if those will not get cold before the party is over.

"It is gonna be fun. Hurry up" Jane says and gets out of the house slamming the door behind us.

I watch as multiple people high-five and shake Ben's hand.

"Coming?" Jane smiles and I nod as I climb out of the stair. Making sure to smooth my dress again.

I follow Jane into the crowded backyard and someone hands me a red cup, I said no thank you. I am not drinking tonight.

I continue to walk through the people. We reach a group of friends and I was shocked to see Jesi sitting in a row of armchairs. I greet some people and sit beside Ben while Jane makes her way to sit beside her boyfriend, Henry.

I hug his side and whisper "don't drink too much" to him and he peck my cheek.

"I am zed. I did not see you in literature class today?" Zed. Ben's friend asks me reaching his hand for me to shake. His hand is a little cold from the red cup in his hands but his smile is warm. I didn't notice someone was sitting there untill now.

I think I sport a tongue piercing but I am not sure.

"Yeah...No excuse really " I answer

"Are you an English major?" He asks me. I notice his eyes take in my outfit and he smiles a little but did not say anything.

"Yes. I am an English major " I smile proudly. I hear Jesi chuckle but ignore her.

"Awesome. It looks good on you"zed smiles and I return one.

"Do you want a drink?" He asks.

"Oh no...Not tonight " I tell him and he tries to hide his smile.

"Leave it to Ben, Zed. She's his little miss priss". Jesi said under her breath.

I am going to pretend that I did not hear her so I don't have to think of a comeback. Miss Priss? I am in no way "prissy". I have not worked since I was born but I have seen my parents work their asses off for me and my brother to have a good life even now that my father is dead, my mother still works so hard to make sure we have a good future.

"I am going to take some fresh air". I say and stand up to walk away.

"Do you want me to come?" I hear Ben call after me. I am sure he heard her but I don't care right now.

I shake my head and make my way to the poolside. I decide to text my brother. I miss him.

*I miss you, idiot. The party isn't as fun as I imagined*

I send and sat on the pool edge and put my leg on the water. A group of drunk girls walks by giggling and stumbling over their own feet.

*Why not. I miss you too big s. J." I smile at his word. I love it whenever he calls me "BIG SIS JEIEL" I didn't text him back, I decided I will tell him the whole thing when I get home.

I pick myself up and walk inside to find a bathroom maybe I can even go to Ben's bedroom after to catch some sleep.

I tried every door I know will be a bathroom but none of them budge. I make my way upstairs and continue my hunt for a bathroom.

Finally, one of the doors opens, unfortunately, it is not a bathroom, it's a bedroom I didn't know exist in Andrew's house, and more unfortunately for me, Ben is laying on the bed with Jesi straddling him.
