Seventeen year old Riley James never expected to be shoved into a car at gun point, let alone with her idiotic neighbor Jack Ryder. The man responsible calls himself Algernon, and he's got a game in store for them that nightmares are made of. Thrown into a whirlwind of sadistic scavenger hunts, odd creatures and creepy puzzles, Riley and Jack are part of a team racing against the clock to save their lives. But while kids are being killed off right and left, Jack is still making wise cracks and hitting on all the girls, including his neighbor who is frustrated and is occasionally on the verge of killing him herself. What will become of Riley and their team as they struggle to work together in order to save their lives?
