The Captivator
Krystal frantically tried to pull from the rope that kept her tied to a post. One of the many dragons surrounding pawed at her boots. "Get off!"
It hissed loudly and backed away. Krystal looked back at the one who had tied her up. The, what looked like a person, which had tied her up, stood with his/her back to Krystal staring out of a hole in the hollow tree prison. For hours it had stared at her through the eye slits in its mask keeping her prisoner.
"Please! If you can understand me, let me go, my friends are out there and thy might need my help!...-"
She sighed,
"-maybe it's better I'm here after what I did. Now they'll think I'm dead and leave without me. Alec was so cross, now I've got no chance of becoming his girlfriend."
The strange one staring out the window turned to her.
"Do you ever stop talking?" Krystal's face lit up with a smile.
"So you can understand me! I knew you could! Are you a dragon trainer? Are you a girl or a boy, sorry, I can't tell! Why don't you train these dragons, they're really cool! Everyone at home thinks they're just a myth, I..."
The person interrupted her.
"The Whistler cannot be trained. It is free to live and breathe of its own will."
Krystal frowned.
"Why don't you just do that thing where you touch it's nose and feed it grass?"
The person turned and walked towards her.
"These dragons live under the control of no one!"
Krystal stared into the eye slits of the mask trying to get a glimpse of a face.
"We don't control them. A dragon chooses you as much as you choose it. Once together, never apart, you and your dragon are one."
The person gasped and hurried away amongst the dragons. Krystal gritted her teeth.
"Hey come back! You can't leave me here! Please come back!"
She looked down into the many eyes glaring at her. All the females were white and all the males were black. But to tell them apart, they had random scales amongst the black or white that were never the same colour as another dragon. Their eyes were all different colours and also matched the random coloured scales. Therefore, no four eyes were the same.
"Oh...I wish Leo was here. He would probably run in and fall over a few things trying to impress me, set me free...then run off a cliff or something, I don't know. I just wanna go home..."
