The others' awaited Alec's return on the pier. They saw him in the distance flying towards them at long last.

"He's back! Maybe Allysia couldn't train Firesky after all..."

Alec landed and Faith's anticipated smile faded when he hung his head and held out the helmet.

"Alec?..."

Alec let a tear slip from his eye and it was confirmed.

"I'm sorry Faith..."

Faith ran at him and hugged him tightly sobbing uncontrollably. Alec cried and hugged her back.

"Why Lissie, why my sister?"

Alec shook his head.

"I don't know...-" he rested his hands on her shoulders and wiped her tears away. "-but I promise that I will look after you, ok?"

Faith frowned. "You promised Lissie you would bring her home. You broke your promise! Get off me!"

Faith ran off and Alec tried to follow her. Krystal stopped him.

"No Alec, she's just upset! She'll be ok."

Alec slammed his fists on his knees.

"She's right though! I promised! I never break my promises! Dead or alive I'm going to bring her home!"

He leapt back on RavenClaw.

"Alec! Now you're being irrational for the wrong reasons! Get down now! Hold it! Stop!"

Alec flew away and Krystal sighed angrily.

"He's crazy."

Leo rubbed his arm nervously.

"He could be gone forever. Looking for a body is not very logical."

Krystal huffed and turned to him.

"Why is he doing this! Come'on, we'd better go and see if Faith is okay."

They walked back up to the village and found Faith sitting alone in the stables with Moonrise.

"Hey, you okay?"

Her eyes were swollen and her cheeks tear-stained.

"Not really. But yeah."

Krystal sat by her and put her arm round Faith's shoulders.

"Is Alec okay? I shouldn't have said what I said to him. I need to apologise to him."

Leo sat down on the other side and sighed.

"Alec's gone back to Whistler Island so he can keep his promise. He's gone looking for Allysia and he's going to bring her back dead or alive."
