Benny's POV
Started my watch and we have been playing for an hour,an hour first time I play with a new one hour, it's good I admit it has a weird system it started off open but then turned it around. "I think Mr Watts you can say I'm good" he said as he made another aggressive move " yes I admit you are good, but not as good as you think" I told her and moved closer to her king with my bishop " Mr. Watts in your book you have written that this move is Dangerous because you let my horse threaten your king" she said and I realized my mistake at that moment another mistake that shouldn't have been made "ahem yeah right but mistakes can be made" I replied and looked her in the eyes and it was my turn to play first time I got nervous while she was calm she wasn't looking at the board she was looking me in the eyes she was anxiously waiting for my next move as if she had planned ten more moves she could make if I made one she reminded me quite a bit of Beth "do you know about Beth Harmon?" I asked her, "No, I don't know her. Who is she?" She said, she doesn't know Beth and her mannerisms are so similar.

Elena's POV
Beth Harmon who she is I haven't read her anywhere, he looks nervous number one mistake when you play you have to look like you're not nervous to inspire confidence to make them nervous and I had two choices either sacrifice my bishop and take his queen or sacrifice my knight and take his queen I chose to sacrifice my knight and take his queen "I like it when the opponent loses his queen" I said and he looked at me
"I need some water I'll be right back" he said and left it's a tough game but I know that if you believe in me I'll make it "I'm back" he said and sat down
"I hope you're not nervous" I said "no I'm not nervous, it's just hot" he said and moved his horse and took out my bishop "smart move" I said "yes quite smart" he said but he had no notice that he had left his bishop open so I moved and took him out and threatened his king "but not as smart as that" I said.
Benny's POV
I went to drink water she took out my Queen how I didn't see how I didn't notice I was nervous and it's the first time I've ever been nervous so I go back to our table and I see her from behind sitting with her back straight she looks quite like a princess Good manners she speaks in the plural she sits with her back straight proper princess, good manners my grandmother used to say is everything, "I'm back" I said "I hope you're not nervous" she said "no I'm not nervous just hot" I motioned with my horse and took out her bishop "smart move" she said "yes quite smart" I said noticing she can't do anything else but she motioned and took out my bishop with her horse and threatened my king "but not as smart as her" she said looking into my eyes.

We have been playing for two half hours and I must not let her win I have three wins and a draw I must not have any losses and of course I will not give up and I will not let her draw with me "Mr. Watts I think it's time to shake hands and say it's a draw it's a shame to have a loss" she said I laughed "I don't think I will let you draw with me" I said, she makes me so nervous so calm so nice so ironic! We keep playing but the more we go on the more we threaten I put my ego down and give her my hand and she gives it to me "I told you I wouldn't lose" she said " not this time but it will come I told her and I left. Two photographers were there taking pictures of us. I can already see the cover "BENNY WATTS LOST FROM A CHANGE IN THE SHIT ROOM". What a shame that would be.
I left the tournament because I'm playing again tomorrow and I don't want to see this girl again.

Elena's POV
Draw with Benny Watts not bad for the first time I go to my hotel room change my clothes and lie down next to me I have the chess board and look again at our game with Benny Watts there were a lot of moves that I left free and this should not happen again. I need to learn to play excellently without mistakes, Beth Harmon I need to look her up I called the front desk and asked for information on her I want to know who she is that Watts likened me to after twenty minutes they brought me information on her I thanked them and sat down to read it, "QUEEN OF THE CHESS HARMON" "WINNING AGAINST BORGOV in 1968" "HARMON BORN WINNER" "ELIZABETH HARMON THE NEW WORLD CHAMPION" Harmon I saw another newspaper with her name and it's a few months old "BETH HARMON THE QUEENS OF CHESS FOUND DEAD" I opened the newspaper on the page and read
"Beth Harmon the queen of chess was found dead on the 10th of February 1970 the cause of death is unknown as her close people don't want to talk about it, Benny Watts spoke about her death saying that after her death nothing will be the same in the chess world as the queen of chess will be missing, Several people are talking about murder plots for the young 22-year-old Harmon as she beat Borgov almost two years ago." She died and she was his friend because he likened me to a friend of his who has passed away.
Benny's POV
I came home took off my hat and sat at my table again playing the game I played with Elena I made so many mistakes I feel mentally exhausted, I changed my clothes and lay down I thought about Elena how much she looked like Beth in her calmness, it was unfair that she left that way Towns never got to say much about how he found her I don't want to think about it whenever I go to sleep.
Flashback Dream
"Benny we're going for a smoke do you want to come" said one of the group "no later I have to go home" I replied "oh oh Benny wants to go home to his mum" said another one everyone in the group we've all had a couple of drinks and a couple of cigarettes we're all high so I want to get out of here and go home to calm down, I leave and walk towards the house until I heard someone calling me it was Jackson
"Benny!" He says and grabs the back of my neck "how are you my friend?" He says "what do you want Jackson" I asked him "I heard you had some white and I wanted to ask you for some, are you starting to become a head in Miami or is it me?" He said.
"It looks like it, how much do you want?" "One gram and don't pay too much for it. I've given you a lot, kid" he said, "I know what I owe. I don't want to remember what I owe him." "Give me 30 and go" I said "Don't talk to me like that. I'm a friend. don't forget I saved you" he said and gave me the money and left "did you save me or did you involve me more" I asked myself and went to my house I went inside and saw my mom in the kitchen cooking and my sister reading in the living room she is 6 years old "Benny" she called out and came over and hugged me I needed her hug "hello Lizzie" I said "you smell funny" she said and I was embarrassed I went inside I went straight in and changed to go take a bath "please stop hanging out with those who are destroying you" I heard my mother's voice saying "I'm trying" I said "if not for me, do it for your sister"
I woke up abruptly and sweaty not these dreams again not these moments again!
