Singing And Benjamin Gets Buried
We all sang some songs. Amazing Grace was one of them. Then, Pastor David Williams did a sermon.
Pastor David Williams: Time is of the essence!
Aunt Pam: *nods* Yes.
Pastor David Williams: He wasted his time! He did not fullfill his duties!
Then the obituaries were read.
Woman: *reading* Benjamin Jackson was born, April 1st, 1987, in Newark, New Jersey to Jane and Richard Jackson. He was in New Jersey for a few years, then his family moved to New York, in 1990. In 1993, he and his family moved again to Connecticut, where he spent the rest of this life. He wasn't a very good person. He was a troublemaker. He always caused trouble for everyone around him. He never attended church, or had any interest in attending. Benjamin never had a kind word to say about anyone. He mostly kept to himself. His life was cut short, by a head on collision with a train on that cold Halloween night. He is survived by his mother, and two siblings.
The pallbearers were now opening the casket. Benjamin's family was the first to see him for the last time. There he was in the casket, in a dark blue suit, with a red necktie, and black dress shoes. His eyes were closed. Everyone in his family cried.
Jane Jackson: I want my son! *sobbing* Give me back my son!
The rest of us saw him in the casket.
Me: *sees him for the last time*
Aunt Pam: *sees him for the last time*
Christine: *sees him for the last time*
Tracey: *sees him for the last time*
At the cemetery........
All of us watched Benjamin get buried into the ground. The casket was being lowered. That was that. He was finally laid to rest.
THE END
