Chapter 19

Heyy guys. Here you are another update I'm sorry for the slow updates. I literally have thirty chapters...

it's just that I'm stuck on thirty but don't worry, I'll I'm recovered from this book's writer's block.

My Mom, Dad, and Martha came to the station to make sure I was ok. Mom was livid about Martha, I could see it on her face, but she paid attention to me in the meanwhile, kissing my cheek, checking to make sure everything was okay.

"I'm fine, Mom," I pulled away from her, more worried about Theodore than anything else.

"Are you sure?" Dad asked, frowning at Martha with worry. "Your house got blown up."

"You could have died!" Mom exclaimed. "You need to come back and live with me–"

"No," I shook my head. "I'm more worried about Theo. He's angry–I mean someone's trying to kill him and..." I stopped myself from saying me. I didn't want my mother to know.

Martha smiled softly. "Why don't you go and talk to him, as long as you are–"

"Don't talk to my kid." My Mom butted in.

Dad furrowed his brows. "Calypso–"

"No, Dad, let me," I sighed, he nodded and Mom, oblivious to my anger, nodded as well. "Mom, I am not an object, neither am I a child. Dad and Martha have been married for fifteen years. Get over it," I got up and brushed past my surprised mother, going to find Theodore.

I knocked on the door that had a number five on it, remembering that Theodore would be in there, before opening the door. Theodore and some police officers were discussing things but I didn't care. "Can I speak with Trancy? Privately."

The officers nodded and walked away, confused, but still gave us our privacy.

"What do you want?" He asked, throwing a file on the table, avoiding eye contact.

I sighed, walking up to him. "Theodore, I didn't mean to do what I did. I know it was exactly what you didn't want and it happened, I'm sorry, it's just," I laughed. "It's not everyday a six foot seven inched man with seemingly superhuman powers got angry in front of me. I'm not afraid of you, Theodore, I promise."

"I guess this is the part where I apologize for taking my anger out on you and getting hurt about it when you get scared?"

I blinked, laughing a bit because I was confused. "Um, I think."

"I apologize, Stephanie, I shouldn't have been in my feelings after scaring you right after there was a bomb in your amazon package. Someone's trying to kill you because of me, so it doesn't feel right when you apologize. I don't accept your apology–but you have to accept mine." He finally looked at me and I smiled.

I rolled my eyes. "So we're good?" I smiled widely when he nodded. I jumped him with a hug and kissed his cheek excessively. "I felt so bad, you have no idea." I hugged him tightly before pulling away.

Theodore looked a little awkward at the shift of emotion but I didn't mind. "I've never received such kindness from you."

I rolled my eyes. "You're so dramatic." I giggled, shaking my head as he continued to read the files. "Theodore?"

"Yes?" He answered.

"Where are we going to live now?" He looked up again with a completely blank look.

"I can't fucking believe this bullshit." I growled when Theodore drove up to my mother's place.

Theodore had a stoic expression, I don't think he couldn't care less. "Consider it a favor. If we lived with any of my relatives you would be pressured into having my child and we both don't want that."

I pouted. "We can't have sex."

Theodore chuckled, amused. "That's funny," he kissed my cheek. "I'm going to do whatever I want with you."

I laughed out loud. "Wow, ok." I nodded. "Sounds...promising." I frowned. "I think."

Theodore rolled his eyes. "You're so dramatic."

"Ok, I don't know what you mean. You'd probably want to drown me in the tub and throw me out a window–"

"Shut up," he glared at me when I laughed. "You're so annoying."

I sighed. "Why are we here? You don't like my mother."

"We can't stay at a hotel and endanger hundreds of people." Theodore said. "If this person followed us to my parents house, my Dad would kill him without telling anyone."

I swallowed hard when I realized yet again that his Dad was a full vampire. "Can't you protect everyone?"

Theodore sighed, rolling his eyes. "No. Despite being a...I don't know tribrid? My mother was still human, it's so confusing but yet I am still human. I'm half Vampire and maybe a quarter witch–or wizard–I don't give a damn. I'm not as strong as my father, I can't just decide to protect hundreds at a time or teleport millions. Capiche?"

I nodded. "Ok...but why here–"

"Nigga this is your mother." Theodore interrupted.

My eyes widened. "Did you just..."

"Is my mother not black? Am I not black?"

I shook my head. "No, no, no. You're only fifty percent. You can only say fifty percent of the word."

Theodore narrowed his eyes on me, unamused. "Get the fuck out of my car."

I laughed, raising my hands in surrender.

My mom obviously accepted me with open arms, but she hasn't stopped complaining about Theodore. It's been six hours since we settled in my mom's house. Theodore bought some new clothes and shoes and we both lived in my old room.

My mom has not stopped opening her mouth about Theodore. Telling me how dangerous and abusive he is when she knows absolutely nothing. I wanted to tell her so much but she doesn't know I'm not a virgin and she will flip when she finds out I'm not.

I lost my virginity when I was nineteen, even before Theodore, Mom can not know about this. I decided to cut our conversation short and tell her I was going to sleep. Theodore was already in the room because he got pissed off from, in his words, defamation of his name.

My mom called out and asked if I wanted to sleep in her room and I told her no. She's seriously out of her mind. Theodore was laughing like he always did. Laughing at me all the damn time.

"Why are you laughing?"

"Go sleep with your mommy." Theodore cooed. "God forbid you dream about the monsters under her bed."

"Oh my god," I rolled my eyes. "Oh my fucking god, just die."

"Why? I'm just looking out for you." He kissed my cheek.

"Don't start that bullshit," I side-eyed him as he slipped his hands around my waist. "I already told you we couldn't have sex. I want to talk about the case."

Theodore sighed. "We're working together on this one." He admitted, almost to himself. "He's dangerous if he knows how to hide from me."

I frowned. "So what's going to happen if you don't know how this person is?"

Theodore smirked. "We're going to solve it, obviously." I rolled my eyes. "This man is killing rich men's wives because of jealousy, a sense of entitlement that he should have what they have–but he has it in for me."

"But, why?"

Theodore shrugged. "I don't deal with petty crimes, I don't know him. Unless I had a run in with him which I do with everyone."

I shook my head. "You're so stupid. We're gonna die because you have an attitude problem."

Theodore cocked a brow up. "Who's 'we' Stephanie? If you wanna die, go ahead but I think I wanna live a little longer."

"After the generations of years you have already lived?" I laughed when he threw a pillow in my direction.

He glared at me. "I hate fucking idiots."

"I hate old men, bitch."

BYE BYEEEE! See yaaaa
