Kody
After Lumine left to try on the tux Dad and I talked a bit.

"You want Lumine to go to prom too?" he said. "Well yeah. He should have fun. He's never been to one and all that." I said looking sideways at him.

"Oh really. That's all?" he said having this look on his face. It was weird looking. "What do you mean 'all'? And what's with that look?" I said. He opened his mouth to say something but stopped. "What?" I said looking at where he was looking at. Then I shut up as well. Lumine was standing there in the tux I picked out.

I was speechless. Dad seemed to get over his speechlessness and smile. "Looks so good Lumine. Don't you think Kody," he said turning to me. I was still speechless. I don't know why. My mouth wouldn't move. Stupid stupid mouth. I put a thumbs up. How stupid. But it was the best I could do.

Dad seemed to keep in a laugh. I looked over at him and he had a look. Oh no, I know this look. He has an idea.

"Lumine since you look good in a tux. I wanna see what you look like in something else," he said bringing Lumine over. "Like what?" Lumine said confused. "Oh you'll see and so will kody." he smiled and brought Lumine to the changing room. I saw him walk back and forth grabbing some sort of clothing then giving it to Lumine to change into. What was he up to his time?

He chuckled walking back to me on the verge of full blown laughter it seemed. "What's so funny?" I asked confused. He grinned, "your gonna hate me but end up thanking me in the future." he said looking triumphantly at the distance.

"What do you-"

"Oh look lumine must be done by now. Oh LUMINE. Come out." he said mostly yelled towards the changing room.

"U-um no?" I heard lumine say quietly seeming to question dads request. "Come on out. Please." Dad said clapping his hands together with anticipation looking back at me.

"But this is. really really embarrassing. Please let me change back." Lumine said trying to convince dad. But he refused to give this up for some reason. "Nuh uh uh. If you do it I'll pay you up. . . 100 dollars." he said smiling.

Wow, bribery. As if lumine would give in for money. As suspected Lumine didn't oblige to one hundred dollars.

"How about I'll have Kody make macaroons like old times and give you 200 dollars? How does that sound?" dad asked crossing his arms. There was a pause, was Lumine actually considering this? I didn't even agree to make macaroons!

"Strawberry ones?"

"And blueberry ones if you'd like." dad replied quickly to get him to agree. Lumine seemed to have liked the deal because in less than 10 seconds he walked out.

I was even more shocked than earlier. He was wearing a beautiful blue and white and gold sparkling dress with jewels around the neck and a gold waistline.

"Woah.."

"You know what wear that to prom." dad said.

"W-what?!" Lumine stuttered. Before he could protest and change my dad hurried and bought both the outfits with a smirk on his face. He was hiding something definitely.

Lumine and me were now in normal clothes and I was certainly glad to be. He seemed to be too because he kept rubbing his arms which were now free from that stunning dress he had on before.

My phone buzzed and it was my girlfriend.

My girlfriend: heyy

Me: hi

My girlfriend: I hope you went shopping because I can't stand it when you procrastinate till the last second!

Me: yes I went shopping.

Me: me Lumine and dad.

My girlfriend: great!

My girlfriend: I got my dress.

My girlfriend: [sent image]

It was a white dress with sequins and it seemed a bit revealing. I didn't like it very much but it looked good on her I guess.

Me: it looks great

My girlfriend: I know right!

My girlfriend: I can't wait till tomorrow!

My girlfriend: ttyl

My girlfriend: <3

I sighed and put my phone away. I focused on the road outside the window. Dad was driving us back home. I for one couldn't wait to be back home and do something other than this. I looked to my left to see Lumine looking clumpy out the other window. Hmm. That's not like him at all. Was he upset because he is going to prom? That he has no date at the last minute? Or what?

I tapped his shoulder and he turned to look at me. He smiled and looked me in the eyes.

"What is it Kody?" he asked giving me a smile. I'm no fool I saw that frown earlier. "Why do you seem down? What is it?" I asked frowning unconvinced at him. I crossed my arms and looked him straight in the eyes.

"Oh um no reason. Just.... Gloomy weather." he looked away and turned towards the window. I felt angry. That definitely wasn't the truth and he knows I know that. Before I could argue dad stopped the car.

"We're here." he said getting out. Lumine followed and closed the door behind him. I grumbled heading out too and walking to the door. I walked in and headed towards the kitchen. Might as well make those macaroons.

"Mmmm nice job son these are soooooo gooooood." dad said stuffing his face with blue, pink, and green macaroons.

Lumine nodded his mouth filled with like five macaroons already. Lumine and dad high fives their macaroons together before eating them. I put a few in my pockets before they consumed them.

"Slow down or one of you will choke." I said taking the bowl of macaroons away from them. They whined grabbing at the bowl. I handed them one at a time.

"So," dad said putting a green macaroon in his mouth "who do you plan on bringing with you to prom Lumine?"

Lumine froze and looked at dad. "I .... Don't know. No one?" he said slowly thinking it over maybe.

Dad raised an eyebrow. "Oh really. Hmm well ok. Who are you bringing Kody my boy." he turned his attention towards me. I frowned and said "my girlfriend duh." obviously her who else. If I went with anyone else that would be cheating and instantly she would break up with me. Well not before overreacting and probably slapping me.

"Oh yeah that girl. Your still with her?" he asked putting his head in his hand. What was he getting at.

"Yeah the same girl I've been with for almost a year. God dad your unbelievable." I said frowning. He smiled and stood up. "Hope everything goes well tomorrow. Bye I have work to do." he walked away back to his study.

I turned to look at Lumine but he wasn't their. And so wasn't the macaroons! Lumine! At least I have the ones in my pocket. I patted my pockets but felt nothing. Did he! He pick pocketed me of my macaroons!

"Lumine!" I looked around and heard pit patter up the stairs. I ran up them and yelled. "Come back here Lumine with my macaroons!!"

"Never!" he ran into his room closing the door behind him. I opened it and jumped on him. He held onto the macaroons tightly as we tug a warred for it. He held on tightly.

"Hand them over Lumine!" I yelled as he put one in his mouth. I grabbed at them and he stepped back. He seemed to trip on something. Before I know what was happening we were falling down to the ground. I landed on top of Lumine and the bowl. Ouch.

I looked down to see Lumine looking up at me.

My body was straight up on his and our faces were dangerously close. I saw his face erupt in blush as he tried to apologize.

"I'm sorry sorry I tripped and here take the macaroons back as a piece offering." he took the bowl and put it between our faces. I smiled at how he tried to avoid the situation. "Sure." I said getting up grabbing the macaroon bowl.

I put it down on the bed and grabbed his hands helping him up.

"Truce. Just don't steal my macaroons again." I said smiling a bit. He nodded and smiled big.

"Deal."
