Chapter 16. Kill the Sailor

After the Meeting, Lubbock,, Bulat, Tatsumi, Akame, and Ben all walked out together - that was until Sheele stopped him before he moved further out with them. Ben was on his toes, he was unsure what Sheele was going to do, however she was less threatening than a certain swords-woman who was blood-hungry to know who he was. Sheele was the friendliest member of the team. She gave Ben no problems save for the times in the beginning she crept him out a few times. She was a very beautiful woman, one to which made Ben extremely nervous to talk to.

This caught Leone pretty quick; she tried to hide her laughter by how nervous Ben was. Lubbock was thinking the same. He wanted to record it all and play it so he could laugh. Sadly, he had no camera; both had a friendly vendetta against Ben.

"Hey, you may not know me that well. I was the girl you saved in the..."

"Oh yeah, yeah! I remember you! Sheele isn't it?" Ben guessed."Are you okay?"

Sheele nodded; her cheeks flushed. "Yes, I'm okay. I reassure you. I wanted to thank you for what you did for me...and Mine for the save against an Imperial Officer. I deeply appreciate it."

Ben smiled. "No problem." Ben tried hard not to look down at her window where her breasts are exposed. He took a deep breath.

"Are you okay?" Sheele asked.

"Yes ma'am. I'm okay, I reassure you." He said.

Sheele gave Ben a sunny smile. "That's great well...I'll be on then. And um...be careful and come back safe." She said.

"Sure thing." Ben took a deep breath only for him to perk up when a certain somebody started to feel on his "downstairs".

"Your hardwood turned into a soft sausage." Leone whispered in his ear, "That's okay Ben, if you like I have some water for you to drink if you're thirsty."

Ben's face turned a rosy red.

Lubbock elbowed Ben playfully. "Hey, by the off chance if you die from thirst, someone more attractive will drown in that magneta pussy." Lubbock and Leone laughed. Ben tried to activate his Ultimatrix but then was grabbed by a giggling Bulat. Akame giggled alongside with them though she would be lying if she's not jealous a little for Ben being attracted to Sheele. Although despite it being harsh and downright disrespectful she couldn't help it her boyfriend was just too silly and easy not to tease him.

Tatsumi however couldn't help but laugh his ass off until Ben gave him a death glare for him to shut up.

"Sorry Ben, but you gotta admit that was down right funny!" He admitted.

"Come on Ben, it's not your fault. All men's penises rise when they see an attractive female. When I was in your room..." Akame giggles.

"And the joke was killed. We don't want to know, Akame, what you've been doing in Ben's room." Tatsumi said.

"Wait, what were you doing in my room?" Ben asked, now terrified though despite him already knowing that he allowed her to sleep with him that's still downright scary for his girlfriend who's a star ace Assassin sneaking into his room not letting him know whether or not she's in his room.

"NOT IMPORTANT!" Tatsumi pushed him away from Akame; she was unfazed and yet confused at Ben's reactions. It didn't seem to fit arrogance but more of innocence what's so wrong of her sneaking in to her boyfriend's room in the middle of the night? Sure he saw battles, but never sought a need for sexual desires before. Akame was interested in Ben more and more by just dating him. She wasn't really bothered about what happened, but more so interested in how strong and resourceful and caring Ben was.

However, unlike all people, she no longer have to be on guard all the time and what she needed to do is to make sure Ben is safe. Ben is the most friendly and loving person out in this world and the Empire now knowing such power exist scares her for she might lose him in a mission because of the Empire coming after him.

She needed to be sure that his safe. Despite some of them already trusting him and know half of his story his Ultimatrix is a wild card to be left alone in the wrong hands if Ben ever falls into the hands of the Empire and they needed to be ready.

Ben, Tatsumi, and Bulat walked on a dock where the Ryuusen, a giant, red cruise ship, was stationed. Ben was flabbergasted as well as Tatsumi on the mammoth size of this giant, wooden beast of a ship.

"It's-It's huuuge!" Tatsumi shouted.

"I know right!" Ben agreed. "It's like you can fit a population of the entire of Rhode Island in there!" Ben addressed. 'Although not to brag, I'd seen bigger.' He thought.

Tatsumi arched his left brow. "Rhode Island? I've never heard of that place before." He said. Ben's eyes dilated.

"Nevermind it's just an Island from my home universe." Ben told him and Tatsumi snorted at this.

"I still can't believe you're from another universe who has powers from different aliens." Tatsumi said, and Ben Snickers at this.

"Says the guy who joined a band of Assassins." Playfully retorted Ben.

"Touche." Tatsumi laughs with Ben.

None of the other passengers and guests could see it, but Bulat was actually walking in front of both boys; the large man was invisible thanks to Incursio.

Ben waited patiently while Tatsumi groaned in annoyance as he adjusted his tie.

While Tatsumi was going undercover, he had to blend in with the partygoers that were attending the Dragon Ship's launch ceremony.

Finally both making their way onto the deck, both boys immediately began to blend in with the large crowd. Carefully making his way through the crowd, Tatsumi stopped when he saw a table full of drinks and food. "I am kinda nervous right now, so I guess one drink couldn't hurt. Damn Leone, making me like this stuff." Grabbing a glass, Tatsumi savored the burn as he downed his drink.

"You sure that it's alright for you to drink?" Ben asked sipping his own drink which was a juice since he was still 16 and under age despite being in a different universe he must follow those rules and don't want to be addicted to alcohol.

"MAh, it's fine to drink here at my age." Tatsumi shrugged.

Although once Tatsumi realized that the drink was far less potent than what Leone had given him, he grabbed a second glass and began to mingle amongst the crowd.

As both boys observed the elegantly dressed partygoers one person stuck out to him, but Ben only managed to get a quick glimpse of the person. From what Ben saw the person appeared to be a younger boy, but what struck our Alien Hero as odd was that the boy had a small devil's tail and horn, and was clutching a box close to his chest. "Hmm, that kid was kinda suspicious. He's someone to look out for." Releasing a light sigh, as he and Tatsumi took a sip of their drink. "Man this is actually a pretty ritzy party." Ben and Tatsumi agreed with him but then both jumped slightly when they felt a hand suddenly pat his back, but when he turned around no one was there.

"Tatsumi you're posing as the son of a wealthy landowner, so don't act so impressed by the capital's wealth, as for you Ben you'll act as his bodyguard." Bulat said quietly, still invisible with Incursio's help. "You two have to act the part so you both won't stick out."

"Got it." Ben nodded. "Also, I don't know about Tatsumi here but I have way more experience in going undercover missions back in my world so acting as his guard won't be a problem."

"Okay, that's good to know." Bulat as both Ben and Tatsumi soon reassure him.

"I may not be experience yet but you're right Bro." Tatsumi muttered, as he rubbed the back of his head. 'Just remember what Mine taught me. I have to blend in and not draw unwanted attention to myself.'

By now the party was starting to make its way inside the ship. Ben and Tatsumi both lingered behind to give the capital one last look before the boat departed on its maiden journey.

Glancing down, Ben on the other hand spotted a large crowd had gathered around the docks to watch the ship as it set sail. Sighing as he saw Tatsumi turned around and leaned against the ship's railing.

"We're assuming that the Night Raid imposters might attack here...but this place is seriously packed." Tatsumi said, glancing at the last of the guests that were piling into the ship's insides.

"Indeed, Plus the old man we're supposed to be protecting is surrounded by a small army of guards." Ben added, Checking around to make sure no one was looking, Ben saw Tatsumi reach back and pull out the pistol he had concealed in between his pants and shirt. Instead of his normal pistol, Tatsumi had opted to take a larger caliber revolver on this particular mission. Tatsumi had only fired the gun a handful of times, but he knew it packed a mean punch. The weapon's only downsides were its six round ammo capacity and its high recoil. But with his practice, Tatsumi wasn't worried about the revolver's recoil anymore. Flicking open the chamber, Tatsumi made sure the weapon was fully loaded.

"I have to be careful with my shots, because I only have six. It's a shame I couldn't conceal any extra ammo, I'll just have to make these six shots count." Seeing that the revolver was loaded and ready, Tatsumi closed the chamber with a flick of his wrist. Tatsumi gave the chamber a quick spin, before he tucked the revolver back into his waistband.

"Don't worry if you lost some ammo in you I'll be your backup and I doubt those imposters could get to the old man here, I think we may have missed our mark on this one." Before Ben could say anymore, he quickly ducked underneath a sudden punch. He looked up to see that Bulat had partially uncloaked himself.

"Looks like you guys' reflexes and awareness are getting even better, especially you Tatsumi." Bulat complimented, as he crossed his arms over his chest. "But both of you don't let your guard down by making assumptions."

"We know..." Tatsumi said, placing his hands in his pockets. "We're just saying we may have been wrong on this one, but I wasn't planning on letting my guard down at all."

"Same goes with me Big bro. I'll make sure to be there as Tatsumi's backup just Incase." Ben told them.

"That's good to hear, but remember that I was able to sneak on the ship because of Incursio. So there's no knowing what tricks the enemy could have in store." Bulat said, as he patted Tatsumi and Ben on their shoulders.

"We got it..." Ben said, his mind going back to the suspicious boy he had seen earlier. "Maybe I should try to find that kid." Deciding to investigate later, both boys then looked up at Bulat.

"That armor of yours is pretty amazing. It helped you get on the ship and has so many other amazing abilities." Tatsumi analyst.

"Yeah bro it's like the same abilities I have with GhostFreak and Big Chill." Added Ben.

"Yep!" Bulat cheered, as he slapped a hand to his chest. "INCURSIO allowed me to fight and survive on the frontlines against the tribes in the South. Incursio is like my very own partner. But...despite all my effort, I wasn't able to save General Liver. The general refused to send bribes to the minister and was taken prisoner. He planned to go to the capital and plead his innocence, but the men held a grudge against me and the general, so they framed us both as criminals. I did something truly cowardly back then...I ran off with my teigu before they could arrest me."

"That's messed up..." Tatsumi muttered, tightly clenching his fists and Ben agreed.

"Whoops." Bulat said, as portions of his armor began to fully reappear. "My invisibility is reaching its end, so I'll have to take Incursio off for a little while."

"People know your face, right?" Ben asked, pushing off the ship's railing. Looking back, both boys noticed that the ship had departed from the docks and was now gently cruising down the canal. "You can leave the top deck to us."

"Alright..." Bulat said, as he began to walk into the ship. "I'll check the lower levels."

"Well we better get to-" Tatsumi was cut off when the sound of a flute began to fill the air. "Why the hell am I hearing a flute?"

"I have no Idea." Grunted Ben.

(Same Time; Capital's Main Street)

General Esdeath casually strolled through the capital's streets, with seemingly no guards present. Leone crouched on a nearby rooftop and observed Esdeath.

Her brow furrowed as she watched the general wave and smiled at the people that she passed. Every person Esdeath passed paid respectful greetings and bowed to her. Leone had only heard terrible things about this woman, but from what she was seeing Esdeath actually...seemed like a nice person? But, of course it could all be a front to hide her evil and sadistic side. Leone's ears perked up when she heard Esdeath's voice.

"There's no need to bow to me. I'm simply introducing myself to the people." Esdeath said, smiling at the owner of a small sweets shop. "I'll be in charge of the capital's security from now on."

"Yes! That is most reassuring, General Esdeath!" The shop owner exclaimed, as he thrust a small handful of gold coins towards Esdeath. "H-Here's s-something to s-show-" The man was cut off when Esdeath took two of the coins and shoved them into his eyes. The shop owner screamed in pain, and collapsed to his knees.

"I don't need your petty bribes." Esdeath said calmly, a sadistic smile on her face. "Try something like this again and I'll hurt you."

"It hurts so much already." The shop owner wheezed, as he slowly stood back onto his feet.

"Bring me your specialty." Esdeath ordered, taking a seat outside the sweets shop. "Your store is quite famous, isn't it?"

"Yes, ma'am! I'll be right back!" The man yelled, as he rushed into his shop to prepare Esdeath's order.

'Esdeath is all by herself outside of the capital, and she's completely unguarded...this would be the perfect time to attack her.' Leone thought, just as an intense chill ran down her spine. The busty blonde suddenly felt sick to her stomach. 'Normally I'd sneak up and go in for the kill...but since I'm in beast form I can really tell...that witch is obviously trying to lure me into a trap! I can definitely smell it on her...an overwhelming thirst for blood!' Just then the shop owner returned and offered Esdeath and an ice cream cone. Leone clenched her teeth and dug her claws into the rooftop. 'I was an idiot to think...I'd have a chance to take her down!' Just then Leone remembered the words Tatsumi had said to her the other day. "I hate to do this...but it's for Tatsumi's sake...I have to retreat for now!" Shooting Esdeath one last glare, Leone bolted upright and sprinted in the opposite direction.

"Mmmm, that strange vibe is gone." Esdeath muttered, as she took a lick of her ice cream cone. "It's truly a shame she didn't take the bait. I really wanted to try out some new torture techniques." A twisted smile suddenly spread across Esdeath's face. "But I have a feeling that things are going to get interesting very soon." Licking her ice cream again, Esdeath released a content sigh. "This stuff is pretty good...when their mission is through...I'll treat my Three Beasts to some as well."

(Back on the Dragon Ship; Guest Cabins)

"Your tone is soothing as ever." Liver complimented, sitting across from Nyau. "It really does suit this ship."

'SCREAM, a flute teigu that can manipulate the emotions of those who hear it.' Nyau thought with a mischievous smirk. 'It's usually used on the battlefield to boost a soldier's morale...but there are far more emotions that I can manipulate.'

"Hmm, it looks like the ship has departed from the city and is out of sight now." Liver said, as he gazed out a nearby window. "You really timed this perfectly."

"I've been playing for quite a while, so everyone should be knocked out for some time." Nyau said, setting his flute down next to him.

"Don't let your guard down, because there may be some country folk on this ship that can't appreciate your flute's quality." Liver warned, as he rested his head on his hand.

"Don't worry, I won't." Nyau said, as he grabbed his flute once again. "Actually, I'll play a little more just to be safe."

( Meanwhile Back at the Hideout. )

Sheele was in her room in bed contemplating a few things and unlike Akame, she was curious about Ben's true origins. They already know that his from another world but there's more to it than meets the eye and she wanted to know.

This was a young man who bore a powerful watch that allowed him to transform into any form he so desired but yet he used this said power to save her friends with no strings attached. He did it under the goodness of his heart and not for power or glory. She would hear Leone joke and make fun of the young man, but it was merely out of a brother and sister kind of vibe. Sort of. A little bit. She was still salty of Ben having multiple forms that could beat her which was unfortunate.

Everyone but Akame in the Hide-Out was still cautious of Ben: some for good reason while others out of prejudice due to him being from another world and way too powerful for them. Sheele was not sure about him. He seemed very awkward the last time they met. She was very nervous to talk to him, which was strange to Ben because normally he would be nervous to talk to a woman like Sheele. He was not nervous around Akame and despite her almost killing him the two got closer and since then they started dating even though she was still trying to get the secrets of the Ultimatrix under the boss orders.

Unlike the rest of her team (Excluding Akame), she wasn't all that interested in the Ultimatrix. She was more interested in the young man who wore the watch. It had been a few hours since the gang had left. Her door was left open allowing Mine to get a quick peek on what she was doing.

"Are you okay, Sheele?" Mine asked.

"Yeah." She said. "Just curious."

"About what?" She asked. "Oh no, don't tell me."

"Ben." They both said in unison.

"I swear, it's like you guys are his drug or something. Yeah, he can transform into monsters! Big whoop!" Mine said, "News flash: Pumpkin can radiate a blast that..."

"Ben has a form that can counter that. Chromastone, remember?" Sheele countered.

"Well! Um? Well, he can't warp realities! Ha! You have to be a God or something to do that!" Mine said.

Sheele turned to give Mine a blank look, "Will that surprise you if that's the case?"

Mine sighed in defeat. "Fair point. But it's not healthy obsessing over the guy! That's Akame's department! Heck they're even started dating now!"

"I'm not obsessing over his Ultimatrix." Sheele said. "I'm pretty Akame would feel the same way, I'm more curious about the man behind the watch."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know." She said. "But what if we're wrong about him? What if he's really there to help us?"

"Sheele?"

"Listen to me." She sat up, "If Ben were a threat, he would have left us to die that night. And plus if he were from the Empire, why would they attack him? Why the girl does not recognize him?"

"They must be putting on a damn good act?" Mine guessed.

"Have you forgotten that he already told us that he's from another world?"

"As I said it could have been an act. I Still don't even believe it for one second." Mine scoff.

"Even if he does, he was very gullible when he first discovered us. Think about that. If Ben wanted us dead, he would have done it already." Sheele pointed out in defending Ben's behalf.
