Prologue
~AUTHOR POV~
(Y/n Four years old)
"Bye daddy!!! Love you!!!"
A little girl called out to her dad, waving happily as he pulled out his car from the drive way and waving back to his four year old daughter.
"I love you more daddy!!"
The little boy called out to his father trying to get the best of his sister who happens to be 16 minutes older than his twin. The little girl huffs at her brother and nudges him but still waving at their father before he drives away to work and to return back later in the evening as always.
Once the twin noticed their dad had driven off it became a fight of smacking each other by the hands. Typical really as they always compete and fight but yet very close siblings and do everything together.
"Jungkook! Y/n! Come back inside and get some breakfast!"
Their mom called, standing by the front door that was left wide open. At the mention of food they rushed back inside completely forgetting about their fight and running back into the house as their mother had told them.
The Jeon twins loved their food especially their moms cooking.
All the while, little did they know that up in the heavens was an angel that had watched over them since birth. He could come down to earth but if he were to do that he could not return and I wasn't ready for that.
The angel Jin, was the only angel left out of his four closest brothers that decided to stay in the heavens. He was afraid to take that risk as they did but for the four years something had drawn his attention. A little girl in particular.
Angels in the heavens are usually appointed to a human on earth as their guardians. But I'm jins case he was to be a guardian to the jeon twins. The little girl was a surprise and since the day she was born after he brother Jin felt something that he wishes could not be true.
"My destined one." Jin
He whispers to himself watching his true destined one back on earth as a four years old girl, happily eating her cereal with her brother.
Destined ones to angels are their forever loved. They only ever get on in their entire existence and never to get another one if the destined one were to die. The angels soul connects to the other as a life source. Their soul reason in living and that is what Jeon Y/n had become for this angel.
His case is rare and unusual. Never had a angel had a human as a destined one. Usually it would be another angel or some sort of other supernatural creature but not Jin. He denied the bond at first but couldn't stop it the feelings he had.
"It's wrong. She's a little girl. A human little girl at that."
He would tell himself every day but he could not stop the fate they were destined to have. Though he would imagine the woman she would grow up to be. A beautiful one.
The most beautiful woman he had ever seen and he's seen a lot since the beginning of time.
He laughs to himself when he thinks about it. Still sights from above on the twins now deciding to play in the garden with a familiar red ball in Jungkooks little hands.
These are the things the angel likes to see. To witness the two twins so close and play creating memories together was a lovely sight to him.
"Ah, just on schedule!"
He turns around to the sound of the angel Azreal. He's responsible for the death of humans, who goes when and how then helps them to cross over into the after life. The last time Jin had seen Azreal, was the death of the last human he was assigned to watch over.
Jin grew worried, scared and unsure of what was happening.
"What's on schedule brother?" Jin
Azreal closes his book and allows it to disappear into thin air with the click of his fingers.
"Weren't you informed? In a few minutes the death of Jeon Y/n will take place." Azreal
Jins heart dropped to his stomach and the aura around him turns blue. Fear and sadness.
Azreal was confused for a few reasons. One being why wasn't Jin told of this before?
Two, why was he so upset by the news?
The last human he watched over sure he was upset but not like this. This was different.
Jin looked down to the twins still in the garden playing with the ball. It confused Jin to how she'll die from just simply playing a game of catch with her brother.
"How?" Jin
His voice stern it shocked Azreal with the way he was spoke to by Jim since he is alway so polite and soft spoken.
"In a few seconds her brother is going to throw the ball too high over the fence. It leads to the front garden and the ball will bounce to street. Y/n will go to retrieve the said ball and a car which carries an angry couple that are arguing about the mans infidelity will crash into her creating the scene of a hit and run. I'm sorry Jin I thought you knew of this." Azreal
He places a hand in jins shoulder who was busy watching Y/n laughing with her brother and throwing the ball to Jungkook.
"But don't worry brother, the man commits more sin by taking his life over the guilt of his wrong doings and suffers in hell. It's justice if you ask me." Azreal
"Not if she dies!!" Jin
He erupts in anger with balled fists shocking the other angel. Jin grabs Azreal by the collar of his green cloaks and shakes the angel in desperation.
"Stop this! You have to stop this! She's a four year old girl Azreal!!" Jin
Down below jins hearing picked up to the sound of Y/n's little voice telling her brother she'll go get the ball. Jin was in panic mode.
"I can't. You know the rules. We've taken much younger children before this. Now excuse me brother but I have work to do." Azreal
He took jins hands off his cloak and pats it down smoothly and glances down below to earth seeing y/n run to the very street that she is suppose to meet her death.
Jins mind falling ten times faster. Is she's doomed to die, then how is she his destined one?
But Jin did something he never expected. Out of desperation and his bond to the little girl he pushes Azreal away when he was ready to fall to earth to claim the girls soul and instead throws himself from the heavens.
He wasn't thinking clearly, but his destined one needed him and he was for sure not going to stand there and let her die. No, he would never let that happen.
Now that he had left he knows he could never return back but that was the last thing in his mind.
Falling to earth as fast as a meteor coming to earth, he shot through bright blue sky eyes fully on the girl.
The said car was approaching fast, creating more panic and fear inside himself. Now seeing y/n in the middle of the street picking up the ball in her hands with a bright smile on her face while her brother runs to the garden calling her name.
Now not only was she to die but her brother was fated to witness the death of his sister. Not happening, not on his watch.
At the speed of lightning did he shoot towards her, grabbing her by the shoulders and pulling her into his embrace and over to safety across the street as the car now drives by with out a care in the world.
He was still raged by the drivers stupidity glaring over his shoulder at the car that sped around the corner.
"Mister could you put me down?"
A little girls tiny voice rung out in his ears. He looks down to see indeed the little girl with large brown doe like eyes stare up at him. There was a spark between the two. Y/n as a child did not feel it but was amazed at how handsome the man was. Yet Jin felt it. It was his first time to see her up close and to touch her. Even as a child she was so pretty in his eyes and so adorable.
He smiles at her and carefully sets her down on the path as Jungkook runs over to his sister to hug her and check if she was alright.
All the while Jungkook making a fuss about his sister and taking the ball out her hands and throwing it away did Y/n only have sights to the man that was literally glowing in her presence.
"Mister your pretty." Y/n
She admits out loud not having a care in the world of how her words would really affect any one around her. Jin was flattered by her compliment but reminds himself this is a little girl.
"Thanks you. You're pretty too." Jin
The little girl giggles rosy cheeks spread across her face and the boy stops his action to glare up at the stranger in front of him.
"Thank you sir but we must be going." Jungkook
He takes his sisters hand and drags her back across the street this time checking both ways before actually crossing and back into the garden all while y/n kept looking back to see the handsome man that saved her.
She was disappointed because she knows the stranger saved her but yet didn't have the chance to say thank you. She hopes that one day she sees the man again and thanks her for saving her life.
However Jin watches the two all the way to their garden and disappear behind the fence again. His heart beating so fast and couldn't believe what he just did.
He willingly fell to earth for the girl to save her from her destined fate. Jin couldn't cope with the fact she was to die so he acted like any angel would with their destined one.
Though did realised that his decision to save her would also mess around with the fate of other humans on this earth.
As long as it doesn't affect the Jeon twins he does not care.
