Chapter twenty

~Y/N POV~

Since taking this book from the library I haven't put it down. Really I should be studying but I can't stop reading this book on angels and demons. It reveals so much more than I knew. Their weaknesses and strengths. Each demon and angel all share the same weaknesses as well as strengths and that is their destined ones their called.

Each demon and angel ever to exist have their own soulmates whether it be either angel and demons alike or a human. The humans are more rare but not unheard of.

With each word on every page I created an engraved memory to remember every piece of information in this book.

Their are other weaknesses of course but nothing compares to a destined one.

A soulmate to a demon or angel is everything and they only ever get one in throughout their whole existence so it means everything that they don't loose their destined one.

"Y/n." Jungkook

I hummed at him as I heard his distance voice in the background. This book has my full attention.

"Y/n look at me." Jungkook

Sighing I dragged my eyes from the last sentence on the page and forced myself to put my attention to my brother scowling down at me with his hands to his hips in front of me.

"Are you ever going to put that book down? You've been reading it for days and you have a test coming up in Jin's class don't you?" Jungkook

Brow raised he stared me down which caused me to sigh again but more heavily than the last and nod. Stuffing a book mark into the page I placed my book to the side on the small table beside me and scooted more to the side as Jungkook sat down beside me grabbing the remote to turn on the tv but to keep the volume on low.

"I do have a test coming up."

"Then shouldn't you be studying for that and not reading your weird ass books." Jungkook

I scoffed at him and stood up to head to the kitchen to make grab myself a bottle of water out the refrigerator.

"Those books aren't weird ass. They're interesting. You should read them some time."

While opening up my bottle and gulp down some water I watched my brother lean over where I once sat and peered over to the book on the small table to read the title on the old brown leather. Jungkook just scrunched up his nose and shook his head sitting straight back in his seat and flicked through the channels.

"No thanks I'll pass. You know angels and demons aren't my thing." Jungkook

I shrugged at him and began to walk towards him to sit back down but before I could even leave the kitchen area Jungkook looked back over to me. A questionable look on his face and puppy eyes as he gazes towards my bottle in my hand and back to meet my face. I knew what he was asking from me without saying it so without question I went back to the refrigerator and grabbed him a bottle and threw it across the room for him to reach up and catch mid air. He made it look so easy but nonetheless he caught it and opened it to drink.

Sitting back next to him we sat in silence for a moment. I received my daily text from Jin asking how I am which made my day. Anything from that man just makes my day and hopefully we can go on our next date soon. I can't wait for that since the last date was great.

"Y/n are you still looking for that man that saved your life?" Jungkook

His sudden question caught me off guard and I dropped my phone to my lap as I turned to my brother already staring back at me with a blank expression.

"What makes you ask that?"

"Because of your obsession with angels. You've been obsessed with them since we were young. Since that day." Jungkook

"I wouldnt call it an obsession. I call it more like admiration and gratitude towards the angel that saved my life."

Jungkook shrugged at me but didn't seem fazed by my words.

"But how do you know that man was an angel? He could of been a human like us that got lucky." Jungkook

Immediately I shook my head as the past memory flashed across my mind.

"No. There's no possible way a human being like us could move that fast. Impossible."

"Why not? I'm fast." Jungkook

"Not that fast Jungkook. The way that man moved it was too fast."

"So fast you didn't see the mans face?" Jungkook

He raised a brow at me and I rolled my eyes.

"I saw his face despite his speed Jungkook. I just can't remember it."

Which is true.

I don't remember the mans face since it is now a blur to me but that doesn't mean I'm not any less grateful for saving my life. To why he did it I don't know but hopefully one day I will see that angel again and thank him for it.

"What ever you say. I just think it's a waste of time. What are the chances of you finding that angel and thanking him?" Jungkook

"Very slime but I would like to keep my hopes up. What's up with you? Why are you so down today?"

Jungkook's eyes lit up as he blinked his surprise at me but then quickly shook his head.

"What? I'm not down. I'm fine." Jungkook

Squinting my eyes at him and leaned towards him which he leaned away from me, not breaking the eye contact with him. There is something wrong with him today and that's why hes trying to bring down my mood right now. He does it all the time.

"Jungkook I'm you twin. I know you better than anyone else."

"You don't know everything about me Y/n." Jungkook

He mumbled low but loud enough for me to hear. Standing up Jungkook dropped the remote to the couch and walked off towards his bedroom. I just stared at his back until he disappeared down the hallway and I heard his bedroom door slam shut which caused me to flinch.

What was that?

Something is wrong with him. I just know it. I can feel it but I just don't know what.

So standing up I chased him to his bedroom and knocked twice listening to an answer but I didn't receive a response.

"Jungkook can I come in?"

Silence.

"I'm sorry if I upset you Kook but can I please come in?"

Still nothing.

More worry filled my body so I pushed the door open only to have the door pushed close on me. I stumbled back surprised but held a frim grip on the handle.

"No! Don't come in!" Jungkook

The panic in his voice scared me and I tried again to push it open but it wouldnt budge.

"Jungkook open up!"

Pushing with all my might it wouldnt move. I could feel some weight on the other side of the door pushing force into the door to resist.

"Jungkook move!! What's wrong with you?! You're scaring me."

Again I pushed again but froze when I heard glass shattering from inside and Jungkook let out a curdling scream. The weight lifted off the door and I instantly pushed the door wide open just to see Jungkook dragged across the floor by a hooded figure heading towards the broken window.

"JUNGKOOK!!"

Throwing myself to the floor I grabbed his hands but I too was dragged across the floor with him since it seemed my extra body weight didn't affect the hooded figure. The panic and fear in Jungkook's eyes matched my own and the figure flew out the window taking Jungkook and I with him.

But before we could go any further I hooked my foot onto the broken piece of wood sticking out from the frame of what was once a window and halted any more moves this figure could make.

Holding onto Jungkook's hands as we practically hung in the air I tried to pull desperately on my foot to pull us back but the flying figure screamed into the air and turned it's head to glare down at me with its red glowing eyes.

It pulled on Jungkook's leg causing Jungkook to let out a scream of pain.

"Y/n let go!" Jungkook

"No!"

Tears brimming my eyes it was becoming hard to see but I didn't dare want to let go of my brother. I'm certain this thing is a demon and is most definitely trying to take him for some reason.

Jungkook started to slide his hands out of mine which he managed with my left hand but gripped onto my shoulder and with hard force pushed me away from him causing my right hand to slip out of his and pushed me back through the window.

Falling through the window I fell on my back and thumped my head off the back of the hard floor and knocked unconscious.
