"Jenny and I used to be very close. We were Eevees and-" Lily began to tell Eevee as they were walking through the forest.

"Just like me!" interrupted Eevee.

"Sure" replied Lily as she looked behind at Jenny, who was being dragged along by Lily's vines.

"We met when we first hatched. Jenny was the bravest of any Eevee I met. I was rather shy. We used to be best friends. We would play with Caterpies and prance around in the fields with the Deerlings. The two of us did everything together....then one day, we left the fields after playing and came upon a trail. On one side was a Thunderstone." started Lily.

"What's a Thunderstone?" asked Eevee.

"If you as an Eevee touched it, you can evolve into...well that," Lily said as she gestured towards Jenny.

"Oh." Eevee responded while nodding her head.

"Now getting back to where I was. Jenny was brave and she approached the Thunderstone. I was slower and more cautious. Jenny reached out a paw and touched it. All of a sudden, she was clothed in light as she evolved into Jolteon, but when I-" Lily described.

"How many evolved forms of me are there?" Eevee questioned.

"Oh, well there's me Leafeon, the grass type and Jolteon, the electric type. There is also Vaporeon, Umbreon; Espeon, Flareon; Sylveon, and that's it, I think. Anyways, when I-" Lily explained.

"Wow! There are a lot of evolved forms." Eevee stated.

"Yes, now shush and let me finish." Lily scolded.

"Ok."

"HUSH! Anyhow, I was young and did not know that a Thunderstone can only be used once. I came up and touched the stone with the wanting to evolve into Jolteon, just like Jenny. Nothing happened, I touched it again and still nothing. I had asked Jenny, 'Why isn't it working?' and she said that I probably wasn't strong enough. After that, she began to act in a different manner. She left me saying 'I can't be friends with weak Pokémon.' When I finally evolved, I searched out for Jenny and showed her my evolution. Jenny proposed a battle to prove that I had grown stronger. I accepted....with one move, I was defeated. She laughed and told me, 'You should have stayed as an Eevee.' From that moment on, I sweared I wouldn't be like Jenny, that I would show every Pokémon compassion like I never got." Lily expressed. After a long silence, Lily sighed.

"I'm glad you told me." Eevee remarked.

"We're here." Lily said, ignoring Eevee's remark. Eevee looked around. In front of them was a waterfall crashing over rocks.

"Uhhh?"

"Come on," Lily said as she headed towards the waterfall.

"Lily, did you get hit on the head?" asked Eevee.

"What?"

"You look kinda flushed."

"No, no Eevee-"

"Maybe it was that Double Kick." Eevee wondered.

"Eevee, I'm-"

"Is there a berry you can eat...like those Oran-" Eevee interrupted.

"Eevee! I'm fine. Behind the waterfall is my friend." Lily declared.

"Oh."

"Come on." Lily instructed. Eevee followed Lily and behind the waterfall was a beautiful cave with stalactites and stalagmites, but in the center was a calm, clear pool. In the pool was a Pokémon. It was dancing. It dived and leaped and twirled. Then, it dove deep and emerged out of the water into a leap. The water droplets shone like jewels. Eevee was transfixed on this graceful creature.

"That's a Vaporeon. He is another one of your evolved forms. His name is Valentino." Lily explained. Vaporeon then landed onto the cave floor. He padded over to them.

"Hi!" welcomed Valentino.

"Hello." Lily greeted.

"Who's this?" asked Valentino.

"I'm Eevee." Eevee announced.

"Well I know that, but what's your name little one?" Valentino questioned once again.

"Well-" started Eevee.

"Is that Jenny?!" Valentino shouted, "Wow I haven't seen her in a while. What happened now? Beedril? Whirlpede? Oh I know.....a Zangoose."

"Um actually...it was me." Lily confessed as she gently laid Jenny down on a flat rock.

"Really?" Valentino said surprised.

"Yeah, thanks to Eevee."

"Eevee." Valentino remembered looking at her.

"Yes, she just learned Protect."

"Is that your name? Eevee?"

"Yeah." responded Eevee.

"We came to you so you could help her paw and find a name." Lily clarified.

"Well, no ones getting better by talking here." stated Valentino, "Eevee, you can go sit on that rock over there while Lily and I run to the garden really quickly." Then the two of them left the cave. Eevee sat and looked around the cave. She sat some more. After a long time, what seemed like hours, or was it minutes, or seconds. There was no difference in Eevee's mind. She was bored. She decided to go see what Valentino and Lily were up to. As she left the cave, she heard little short zzzt sounds and looked back. Jenny's fur had little electric bolts coming out and her face cringed.

That couldn't be good.

Eevee rushed out of the cave.
