"You and I belong together all the time"

"He didn't do it Remus," Liliana Marie Lupin insisted as she slammed her forearms against her brother's chest, "he would never betray them! He would never murder!"

Remus, placed his hands on his little sister's arms a frown formed on his face, "the Potter's secret keeper, was Sirius and is the one who told the dark lord of their whereabouts. And he was at the scene in broad daylight laughing."

"He may have been an ass but Sirius wouldn't betray James and kill those muggles, it's not who he is," Lana insisted once more, "and I don't believe James would tell him, it would be expected. It had to be someone else, I beg you to believe me."

"I don't know Lana," Remus shook his head. He so desperately wanted to believe that one of his best friends didn't kill the others.

"I need to see him," Lana pushed off her brother ready to transfigure into an Owl.

"They already took him to Azkaban," Remus muttered.

Lana stumbled back, tears forming in her eyes, "no," she whispered as she collapsed onto the carpeted floor in her living room, sobbing into her hands.

Remus knelt down beside the sobbing woman and pulled her into his chest, giving the only comfort he could.

The sibling duo were like this for what felt like hours, Lana crying and Remus trying to comfort her as she did so.

Suddenly Lana pushed off her brother, looking at him as if she realized something, "what about Harry?" She questioned, eyes wide finally registering that her brother only informed her of Lily and James' death.

Before Remus could answer a knock from the door erupted through the house causing the pair to stand up immediately and grab their wands from their pockets.

"No need for wands," A sweet voice told them from the other side.

"Professor Dumbledore," Lana greeted softly, opening the door for her past Transfiguration teacher before she married the now Headmaster of Hogwarts and became on if the best Aurors of their age, "come in." (She worked in the department of transfiguration with McGonagall)

"I'm here to share more news," Cali frowned at the siblings, "I'm sorry to bare this unfortunate news, but Albus thought it best that Harry Potter stay with Lily's sister, seeing as though he will be famous here and it will keep him safe."

"That's bullshit," Lana snapped, "those are the most awful muggles alive. I'm his godmother for a reason. I can keep him safe professor."

"I'm sorry dear," The older woman sympathized, "it'll be safer this way. He won't grow up with everyone knowing who he is."

"Safer?" Lana scoffed, "safer! He'll be abused for Merlin's sake! They're the most awful people I've ever seen. Colleen please. Talk to Dumbledore, I beg you."

Remus placed his hand on his fuming sister's shoulder understanding her anger.

"I'm sorry Liliana," Cali apologized once more, bowing her head, "I know right now it's not what you want especially with everything else, but you will understand in time."

Before Lana could make a comment, crying could be heard from upstairs in her home.

"I shall go," Colleen bowed her head before making her leave through the front door.

"I'll go get her," Remus told his sister who was glued to her spot in the living room.

James and Lily potter were dead. Sirius Black was now in Azkaban for accusations of being a death eater and for supposedly killing Peter Pettigrew. Peter was dead. And her godson was in a place where he won't be loved.

Lana didn't know what to do. Everything around her was falling apart, but she couldn't and she knew that.

"Lana," Remus spoke from the top of the stairs, "she wants you."

The woman took a steading breath. She had to push through this. Her daughter needed someone who wasn't going to break. Her daughter needed her mother.

So with her first step she made the promise not to fall apart. She couldn't afford it.

"It's all for a reason my dear," Albus Dumbledore spoke as he finally made it back home.

He had been gone taking care of Harry and making sure he was where he needed to be.

"I know," Colleen sighed, holding her five month old daughter.

She was still amazed at how she had this little girl when she was in her 30s but then again magic existed. And she was also shocked at who she had married, but the tattoos never lied. (Yes the wizards and witches have soulmates ik it's cheese but I liked the idea that magic folk kinda had this like Fae people in ToG and ACOTAR and yes I've read those and loved them!)

"But you should've seen Lana," Colleen proceeded, looking up at her husband who looked just as exhausted as she felt. His brown hair that was normal properly stilled back was out of place. The vest of his three price suit was undone along with his tie, "she was so angry and broken. I've never seen her like that Albus."

"Ms.Lupin has been slammed with tragic news of all sorts in the past few days," Albus spoke as he sat on the foot chair in front of his wife, "three of her closest friends murdered and betrayed by her soulmate and husband is a lot to take in."

Colleen nodded her head, "such dark times we now live in."

"Indeed," Dumbledore agreed, "but Tom is now defeated by the young Mr.Potter so all we can do is hope it gets a little brighter."

Hey hey! Here's a new story for you guys!

So I decided to make this kinda a soulmate thing which is really cheese to me but like I said I loved the idea of them having mates like in fantasy book so I hope yall like that aspect.

This book will go through all the movies/books I'll probably pull from both bc the books provide more fun that the movies sadly don't. After I finish deathly hallows I'll finish the book up with the past before Harry Potter.
