Chapter 18🌹
~Y/N POV~
"This place is massive Namjoon!"
Circling in my spot in the middle of this huge library Namjoon has brought me too, I couldn't help be in total awe about this place. I love to read and he knows that just like how I know he likes to as well.
"It really is isn't it? I knew you would like this place." Namjoon
I nodded eagerly, eyes wondering around the room that was filled with books but not the paper hard back type. It's more like a projection tablet, open it up like a book but the words to the story appear in front of you instead of looking down to paper.
I actually prefer the old books but it's better than nothing.
"Here, I'll show you around." Namjoon
I nodded and felt him take my hand to guide me further into the library towards a stack of white shelves that match the very white walls in this place.
"You spend a lot of time in this place don't you Namjoon?"
I already knew the answer to that but I couldn't help but ask him. Although when he chuckled, that alone just confirmed what I already knew.
"That I do Y/n. When I'm not working I find peace spending my time in reading. It's not often the others come in here so it's like my own little world of solitary here." Namjoon
I nodded and continued to follow along side him, holding his hand tightly with a smile on my face and of course blushing. I always blush when any of them hold my hand and I know Namjoon isn't one of those very affectionate and skin ship types but he seems quite happy to be holding my hand.
"The fiction books are here on the left side of the room. Non fiction is to the right and the history books, dictionaries and Encyclopaedias are down stairs among other books." Namjoon
Suddenly coming to a stop, Namjoon hummed to himself, stroking his chin and looking down through the protective glass to the downstairs level which was also very cool to me. Gazing down a level myself there was more books but this time two couches opposite one another and a few two one seater seats also opposite each other. The four seats to form a wide spaced square down below.
"I wonder." Namjoon
I heard him mumble which caught my attention. I looked up at him in wonder but he was still looking down to the floor below in deep thought about something.
"Just go show her Namjoon. She use to like the story."
I squeaked out of shock and spun around to see Jimin. Surprised but not at the same time to see him standing a few feet away from us grinning at both Namjoon and I went we turned around at the same time to see him.
Namjoon sighed heavily to see Jimin, innocently smiling back at us.
"Again Jimin? This is the forth time."
"Now you're crashing my time with Y/n. I knew I should of locked the library for no entry." Namjoon
Mumbling the last part I couldn't help but giggle but stopped when I seen the offended look cross upon Jimin's face.
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that." Jimin
"What are you doing here Jimin?" Namjoon
Glancing to Namjoon and then Jimin I gave a firm nod towards Jimin, also wondering the same thing. But Jimin just shrugged and gave another eye smile again.
"Nothing. Just wondering around." Jimin
"You're suppose to be working with Jin about the food situation at facility 13. Have you both finished?" Namjoon
Jimin's eyes widen and he quickly shook his head just to turn and run out the door as fast as he could. The library door was still wide open for him to run out of but Jimin did I quick turn around to run back to me, kissing my cheek and quickly whispering in my ear.
"I can't wait for my day with you tomorrow." Jimin
"YAH!!" Namjoon
Jimin giggled and took off running again out the library when Namjoon took a daring step towards him, scowling at Jimin for his actions. Watching the doors close I felt the heat to my cheeks but Namjoon pulled me out of that when he tugged on my hand he was still holding with his own.
"Now that he's gone lets go downstairs Y/n. There is something I would like to show you." Namjoon
I nodded eagerly and followed his lead towards the stairs and together walked down the steps carefully.
Now on the bottom level Namjoon continued to pull me along with him to walk through the tall white shelves all the way through to the back of the library I would say and to stop by this large black single door with a small key pad next to it.
"This door is by finger print only. None of my brothers can get in here but me." Namjoon
He explained as he pressed his thumb against the small pad that lit up and scanned his finger with a beam of light just to then hear that beep and a click from the door as it opened by itself by sliding open. Peering inside It was a small room by the looks of it.
"Come on there's something I would like to show you." Namjoon
I didn't have a choice in the matter because Namjoon again had taken control and pulled me inside the room with him. Letting go of my hand afterwards the door shut behind us and he wondered across the room towards another large white shelf that took up the back wall completely. I looked around the room to see a few things here and there. Two large brown leather boxes filled with god knows what. But what caught my attention the most was two large squares hung up on the wall but covered with white sheets.
My mind was screaming at me to pull off these sheets covering what I can only assume are either pictures or paintings. Hand stretched out I walked over to them both ready to pull them off and see what lays beneath. My finger tips just brushing along the fabric, so close.
"Y/n!" Namjoon
His sudden loud voice in the small room made me flinch and I ripped my hands away from the objects on the wall just to take a step back.
"Yeah?"
Namjoon smiled at me, walking over which to him was only two steps and came to stand between me and those coverings but he was holding something of a very old black leather book in his hands.
"Here you should read this." Namjoon
Holding the book out to me, I took it from him delicately. It looked so old, too old in fact to be handled like this. The leather was ripped my the bottom left corner on the front. The pages were yellow and stiff to the touch. In fact even the engraving on the front was almost worn away but I could just make out the words on the front.
OUR QUEEN.
My eyes widen to see this as I've heard it before. Opening it up carefully I read the front page to see names hand written in pen one name under the other. First name was Lee Y/n. I heard her name before in stories. I always looked up to that woman and I thought it was pretty cool we shared the same name but also the fact that all seven kings that are here now, the seven that I know are also named after the ones in the book.
I know this story well, it's my favourite.
"Y/n you should read that. It was written by mys-I mean it was written by the vampire that I'm named after. He wrote this book about his soulmate many years ago and I thought you would like to read what he personally wrote about her and their lives together." Namjoon
I couldn't stop smiling, nor did I want to take my eyes off it. Somehow this just meant so much more to me that I could imagine.
"So the story is real then? Not just something you all made up and used our names for the characters?"
Namjoon shook his head, smiling at me with such softness in his eyes.
"No we didn't make it up. Its a true story. You can keep it actually. I think you will find some comfort in reading this." Namjoon
I nodded, closing the book and hugged the object to my chest desperately, not wanting to let this go.
"Thank you Joonie."
His eyes widen when I called him that and I suddenly realised what I said. I haven't called him that in years. Now standing there awkwardly I didn't know what to do with myself but I was trying to avoid his eyes on me but only did I gasp when he unexpectedly pulled me into his embrace, holding me tight to his chest, burying his face to croak of my neck.
"I've missed you so much Y/n and I promise this time we will never let you go this time." Namjoon
Sudden tears brimmed in my eyes and I brought myself to hug him back with one arm around him. I've missed him too, all of them.
