It's three am so excuse me if it's bad.

Practice had just finished and a tired Kishibe stretched his tired muscles.

"Finally finished. I can't wait to go home and sleep."

"What about food captain? You didn't eat lunch today." Yoshiko stared innocently at the boy in question who responded with a blush as his stomach growled.

"Obviously I'm not sleeping as soon as I go home. It's the weekend, Bella's coming over." Kishibe tossed the last ball into the basket and turned toward the soccer club room.

"Oh yeah what did you get her for tomorrow?" Souske smirked at the confused look on his captain's face.

"What are you talking about? I don't have to get her anything tomorrow."

"Yes you do. Tomorrow is valentine day. Um captain?"

The team watched as the color drained from the boy and what seemed to be his life force hanged limply out of his body.

"We'll take a guess and say you forgot. Oh well only one thing to do. Aphrodi-kantoku captain needs your help." Tobisawa dragged the half dead Kishibe to their coach before slapping him back to reality. "Wake up you idiot."

"Ow. You didn't have to slap me and I don't need help. I can just run to the convenient store and pick up some candy. There problem solved."

"Yes if we were a mediocre team which we are not. Don't worry little butterfly I'll help you out." Aphrodi smiled.

Kishibe sighed and hung his head, "I have a bad feeling about this."

And so the pair went shopping

"To get to the heart of the Lidashi you must think like the Lidashi. What would she be doing right now?" Aphrodi pushed his glasses further up his nose and took a walk around the store they were in.

"Probably reading a book in my room since I'm not home." Kishibe glared at his coach but sighed as the overly excited man turned to him with a face of excitement.

"I know exactly what you should get and don't worry about the cost it shouldn't be too bad." Aphrodi took his hand and dragged him into the candy section of the store. "Pick up what she likes, and get some that you like for yourself."

Kishibe picked up different assorted candy boxes until the little cart he was holding was almost full.

"Good now put back the ones you didn't pick up as soon as you saw them."

Kishibe put back more than two thirds of the basket and looked at his coach.

"Now put two milk chocolates in there and call it a day."

Kishibe groaned but complied, "Is that all your highness?"

"Not yet just one last thing to get."

So they pay and leave the store

"Ok my young protege this is the last thing you need. Nobody has ever gone wrong with one of these and it's always a back up plan should something happen to the candy. I present to you the teddy bears."

Kishibe stared at the man in front of him questioning his manliness but decided to drop it on what spit might requiring to do.

"If this is the fall back plan why not just use it in the first place?"

"Because young one it's repetitive, cliche, and expected so you never get it by itself. Now pick one and keep size in mind, the bigger the better." Aphrodi pushed up his glasses again and pushed the boy into the aisle.

"Don't say that again please." Kishibe shuddered and looked around at the different toys. "Nothing eye catching here, oh wait. That's the one."

Kishibe picked up the toy and walked over to the check out counter and paid for the gift. "She should love this. Now to go home and get some food. Thanks coach. I'll see you Monday." Aphrodi smiled and waved goodbye before going to pick out a gift for his wife as well.

And so he makes it home and has something to eat

"I thought I'd find you in here. Have you heard of personal space?" Kishibe leaned against the doorframe watching the girl laying in his bed.

"I forgot all about that with the amount of times I've walked into my room and found you asleep in my bed. Shall I name another incident or is that enough?" Bella smirked while looking up from her book for a second.

"Whatever Bella just turn around so I can change."

"I didn't plan to look anyway." The girl buried her nose back into the book forgetting about the boy until she felt the bed dip.

"What are our plans for tonight?"

"I've got ice cream and White Chicks on standby, ready whenever you are Mr. Kishibe."

"I think I'm ready now."

The pair set up the room and snack for the movie before hopping back into the bed and starting it.

Time skip to midnight

"Happy Valentines Day Taiga!"

Kishibe blinked and tried to process what just happened. "Wait what? Dammit Bella I was supposed to be first."

Bella giggled and let his head, "There's always next year. Just try harder next time."

"Whatever. Now here's your gift."

"You really got this for me? Thank you. I had no idea you had it in you. I'm impressed." Kishibe smirked and leaned back in his bed.

"You should know I'm full surprises and it was nothing. I'm just glad you liked it. Happy Valentines Day."

"Happy Valentines Day Taiga."
