Somehow, after all of this, the school expects everyone to go home. Enjoy their holiday as if nothing had happened. Some remain at school, the handful of students who don't have the ability to go home, but the rest leave the school, get into their cars with their family and leave. Some to the nearest airport, others to the next town along.

This happened every year, but this time it just felt wrong. Brothers that were returning home without their sister, friends that would leave without saying goodbye. It's like they were waiting for something, expecting something huge and amazing to come before they left. But it never did.
