After a couple of hours of touring, they made their way to the lunchroom. Everyone was sitting down at the tables eating lunch except for Bella who was sitting by the window looking out at the scene just beyond the tower. tony and Bruce just finished some research on Bella and was now walking down the hall when they saw Steve and Bucky. "Hey Steve, Bucky! Come to walk with us!" Bruce called out to them.
Back in the cafeteria, some high schoolers were walking up to Bella with smug looks. "Hey, freak!" One of the boys yelled at her. Bella looked back just in time to be thrown to the floor face first and someone stepping on her back, pinning her to the cold tile floor.
"No wonder her parents killed themselves. Who would want a freak for a daughter?" A girl hissed as she kicked Bella hard in the side. Bella winced in pain as she felt the blood oozing out of her nose from when she fell.
"You're in your rightful place! The general shouldn't let such an unpleasant creature be seen in public!" Another boy spat as he stomped down hard on her head.
Just then the four Avengers walked into the cafeteria to see Bella getting beaten up by the older group. They stood in shock and watched as the teacher called over to them telling the students to bring the young girl over not caring that they had now gained the attention of the workers who were now in there for their own lunch.
They all gasp when they see the blood coming out of her nose and her coughing up a bit of blood. The teacher glares at the frail girls face. "Why were you put into my class, you filthy disgrace?! How dare you ruin this field trip for these students" She yelled as she slapped the girl in the face, making a loud snap gathering everyone else's attention.
Steve has seen enough to go over and gently but firmly pull the girl out of the student's grip.
"I think that's quite enough," he said using his military tone.
Everyone looked up startled.
"Captain America!" They all exclaimed.
One of the students snickered.
"Oh this is great now we will get to watch her getting told off by an avenger" she whispered to her friends.
"In case you haven't noticed he just stopped you from beating me up" Bella grumbled to her self before flinching realizing she spoke out loud.
"Probably wants to do it himself freak" the girl snapped.
"That's enough.  Now I don't tolerate bullies. I don't care who you are or how old you are I don't like bullies" Steve said firmly.
"I'd rather be a freak then be a stuck up rich brat who thinks they can get anything they want with the snap of their fingers." Bella shot back but then quickly looked down trembling.
"Why you little. How dare you talk to them that way." the teacher stood up and shouted.
"Alright, that's it. Happy get these people out of here.  The girl stays" everyone looked over at Tony.
"With our parental concentration you can't take her or keep her and since she has no parents She's award of the military. Therefore you can't" the teacher stuttered but with a smirk
Off to the side Bucky, Steves' best friend, was clenching and unclenching his fists angrily. Steve could see the slight smirk on his friends face at the girl's words.
bucky walked forward and stopped in front of the teacher. 
"Now listen here only because Steve is my friend will I not kill you but if you so much as ever look at a child in a wrong way again I will make you wish you were dead," Bucky said sharply shattering the table next to him with his metal arm.
The teacher turned deathly pale.
"Let's go Mr stark want you out" a man in a suit, Happy,  walked over to them ushering the teacher and the student out.
The students were complaining and shooting glares at Bella which clearly promised a beat down if they ever saw her again.
Bella trembled backing up.  Steve pulled her closer to him putting a hand on her shoulder in a comforting way.
Bella looked up at him with a puzzled expression.
Steve smiled at her encouragingly. "Come on let's go get those wounds taken care of." He said.
"Thank you, sir,  but you shouldn't have done that.  You'll get in trouble.  I don't want you to get hurt because of me" Bella said looking as if she was wanting to cry.
Steve and the others looked surprised at her words.
"Don't worry kid. Nothings going to hurt us." Steve said reassuringly.
Bella gave a slight frown. "Maybe not but. I have to go" she said as she moved to follow the rest of the class out.
"The point of us saying you're staying here means your staying here," Tony said.
Bella looked up at them startled.
"What. No, I can't they.. " she started to say.
"And just why not," Tony asked.
"Look your hurt let us have our doctor look you over," Steve said.
"The military. They won't like this.  I have to go back. I'm in trouble as it is" Bella said panicky.
"You let me worry about the" Tony said brushing off her worry.
