Chapter 20: Surprise?!

Jasper POV

I felt nothing. Not the water on my face or in my hair. Numb. That's how I felt. A bit lighter yes when we moved to go find her. But still, very, very, numb.

I let Emmett drag me through the portal after Rosalie and Alex. After us came Alice, Esme, Carlisle, and Edward. It felt like we flew through space, an empty abyss. Just like when I went with her.

When we landed, it was no where familiar. We were standing on a street, surrounded by many houses. Tall buildings and mountains were seen in the distance, made by what looked like the same material as those Seraph Blades she told us about.

Few Shadowhunter's walked around in normal clothing or gear, giving us strange glances before heading to their destination. So this was Idris? Huh, different from what I thought, that's for sure.

"Well, now what?" Alex asks as he eyes the Shadowhunter's.

Emmett shrugs. "Well, we have to find her. Didn't she say something about coming here with others? Isabelle, Alec, and Simon or something?" He asks.

Edward nods. "It shouldn't be to hard. If, I could read their minds." He mutters and sighs.

We glance around and start walking. We probably looked like clueless puppies wandering the streets of an unknown place. It was unknown, no mundane knew about this place, well, maybe a few did. But it was very rare.

The sun was setting in the West when we spotted Jace and Clary talking to two other Shadowhunter's. The woman had long brown hair that she had in a ponytail and was wearing the normal gear, with some weird gold snake looking thing on her arm.

The man had short dark brown, almost black, hair. He had his gear on, showing the many runes on his arm. The man and the woman looked strangely familiar and were probably siblings of about the same height.

Jace and Clary were just the same since the last time we saw them. Shadowhunter gear and many runes. But this time, they were talking furiously with the man and woman.

They looked up as we walked up to them and stopped talking immediately. Jace looked ready to snap at us for interrupting but stopped when he realized who we were. Both him and Clary paled and looked at us in shock.

"How the hell did you get here?!" Jace asks incredulous after him and Clary regain composure.

"Um-" Emmett starts but then the man speaks.

"These are the bloodsuckers?! You have got to be kidding me! How the hell did they get here?!" He snaps, looking just as shocked as Jace and Clary.

Suddenly, Magnus appears and gives a sly smirk. That dude has got serious problems and is really starting to freak me out. I mean, what is he anyway?

"That would be me that got them. Just don't tell Bella when you get her. She'll skin me alive and use me for practice or feed me to the demons. Maybe vampires." Magnus muses.

The four Shadowhunter's look at him in shock.

"Um, surprise?!" Emmett's questions making Rose smack her palm on her forehead. Well, now what?
