Chapter 17: Idris

Bella POV

I told myself I wasn't gonna cry. But that was kinda hard when everyone was watching you draw a rune on the wall and were close to tears.

"Ta-da!" I mutter and pull away from the wall as the rune swirls and a large circle thing appears.

It's the color of blue and shines brightly. I smile sadly. I would have been more proud of it if we hadn't been using it to leave my new family.

Xena grabs me and squishes me in a hug, making my shirt wet from her crying.

I promised myself I wouldn't cry, but apparently she didn't.

"I hope we see you soon!" Xena cries.

I give a small smile and hug her back.

"You have my number, and we're Shadowhunters. We'll see each other again. Maybe even in Idris!" I say trying to lighten the mood.

She laughs lightly and pulls away. I give
Guinevere and Rick hugs and Iain a one armed hug.

We'll have to talk more the next time we meet. We never really got the chance to hang and I hardly know a thing about him.

Unlike Ra and Xena who I know almost like the back of my hand now.

Ra jumps in my arms and hugs me tightly. She also gets my shirt wet with her crying.

Smiling I set her down and shake hands with the Cullen's.

Emmett pulls me into a bear hug and spins me around.

"Emmett, can't breath!" I gasp and we all laugh as he puts me down.

"Gonna miss ya, Devil." He says grinning. I grin back and shake my head.

When I get to Jasper, we hold each other's hand for a minute longer before letting go.

I smile and head over to the portal.

Making sure my weapons are secure, I nod at my parents and they go first.

I step up and turn to everyone. I smile and wave before leaping up and flipping through. I emerge from the other side and land lightly on my feet, soaking wet.

I hate it when the portals did that to you.

Shaking my head, I twist my hair like my mom to try and get out some of the water.

"Bella!" Someone yells and tackles me to the ground.

"Oh. My. Angel. Get off Simon, can't breath!" I gasp out and Simon gets off of me and grins.

I hop up and glare at him.

"Jerk." I state.

"Evil devil." He states back. I smirk.

"I know. I'm gonna be the devils assistance when I die." I say happily and head towards the institute.

Mom and Simon hug and then start in a conversation about what's been going around here.

I step through the large doors and look around smiling. Oh, how I missed this place.

"Hey Bella!" Alec says as he and Izzy come over and give me quick hugs.

"Hey guys."

"Mom!" Mom says happily as Jocelyn comes over and gives her a hug, Luke not that far behind.

"So, are we ready to go?" Luke says after all the hugs and hellos are given.

We all nod. "Well, then I guess that's where I come in." Comes a sly voice and we all turn to see Magnus in his usual glittery attire.

He smiles and gives us quick hugs before going to stand with Alec. Their such a cute couple.

He walks over to the wall and starts working on the portal, since the one we use to have here was destroyed by my mom.

It wasn't an accident. She had to or she would have been lost somewhere with Valentine and I probably wouldn't be here right now.
Thou, I might because I know how my dad would never give up on her. Even if they thought they were siblings at the time thanks to that freak Valentine.

They still loved each other and would sacrifice themselves for each other. It was both cute and sickening.

"Alright, it's ready when you are." Magnus says stepping back.

Izzy nods and her and Simon head first. Then it's Mom and Dad, Jocelyn and Luke, Magnus and Alec, and lastly, me.

I take one last look at the Institute before stepping through the portal and into the world of Idris. And damn Angel, becoming wet, once again.
