TAKES PLACE AFTER TOPPAT RECRUIT

(Bella gets hurt while protecting Ellie out on the battlefield, and is taken straight to the Healers' Office. After the battle, Ellie scolds Bella, but still very much appreciates her protecting her. 3rd POV, pretty fluffy. Hope you enjoy!)

   Bella massaged her pained injury from when she had been shot twice in the arm, wincing at every glance she took at it.

   By the looks of it, the injury was not fatal, however she sacrificed herself from battle to stay behind. It did hurt however, every single movement felt like a sharp sting to her.

   She had to shield her away from the bullet though, if Bella had saved herself instead of saving Ellie, she would have lost an eye... She couldn't risk that injury on her loved one, and took the bullet herself.

   As soon as she did take that bullet for herself, she fell to the ground, and she heard Ellie call out for her in the most desperate tone she heard. Bella felt horrible, but it was the only way to protect her. Ellie was strong and smart, but she can be careless at times. After that, Ellie carried her all the way to the Healers, and gave her a goodbye kiss before leaving.

   Almost as if Bella had called for her, Ellie rushed into the Healers' Office, her face covered with worry and dirt. It seems like the skirmish had ended, and the other Toppats were able to advance to enemy forces.

  "Bella!" Ellie ran over to her bed and hugged her tightly like she was going to disappear. "Ugh, what is with you?! You almost killed yourself out there!"

  Bella chuckled slightly, her face growing a slight pink. "I'm fine Ellie, it's just two shots, nothing much."

  Ellie huffed angrily as she watched Bella lift her staggering arm to show her, Bella's face obviously trying to hide the pain. "You are seriously bad at watching out for yourself," Ellie said angrily, glaring at Bella. "If you're gonna be that brave, than be less reckless."

  "Yeah, I'm sorry Ellie," Bella leaned in and gave Ellie an apology peck on the cheek; While also laughing as her face grew a deep red. "Hope that's good enough for an apology!"

  "Y-y-yeah, it is I guess..." Ellie muttered under her breath, her face extremely red from Bella's kiss... But then it was overcome with realization and flustered frustration. "Wait, no it isn't!! I'm getting you California Fried Chicken after this!"

  Bella stifled her laughter and nodded, giving her a happy thumbs-up. "Good luck at the raid!"

  "Yeah, whatever," Ellie huffed and stomped over angrily to the entrance. "I love you, Bella! But I also f*ckin' hate you for that!"

  "Hahaha, whatever you say, babe!"
