Colette readied the batch of unbaked chocolate cookies and slid them gingerly into the warm oven, and closed the cover before turning it on. One noticeable thing about her was her joyful, anticipating smile.
Today was the day her best male friends from the Special Overt OPS Force came to visit her on their days off, since they had received her invitation. She made a small mistake of messaging one of her friends as well, but it was fine. It was just one small clumsy mistake after all...
About her male friends... They were known as Henry Stickmin and Charles Calvin.
Henry Stickmin was a mischievous and a logical-thinker, normally being the brains whenever in a mission. She has to admit however, that he isn't entirely a good person, since he was an ex-thief. Not even the government knows if he's still in his thievery days.
Charles Calvin was a more cheerful and emotional-dependent person, often doing things his heart tells him to do, such as crashing into multiple buildings and putting himself in debt. But he is a kind person.
'Wait...' Colette stared at the oven for a moment before suddenly realizing. 'Dangit! I accidentally put sprinkles on one of the cookies before baking! Oh dear...' She shook her head. She normally did these clumsy things, and she was greatly bothered by some.
But she always wondered why Henry and Charles were unbothered by her clumsiness.
Suddenly, she heard the doorbell ring.
"A-ah! Coming!" She quickly ran over to the door, somewhat stressed. 'Hopefully when the cookies are done baking, the sprinkles won't be noticeable...'
She opened the door to see two men standing in front of her. One with an unbothered expression and a blue hoodie, being Henry, and one with an optimistic smile and headphones, being Charles.
"Henry! Charles! Thank you so much for coming!" She smiled brightly.
"Of course we had to come, we couldn't ignore such a kind and benevolent invitation such as that." Henry said teasingly, smiling with a small tint of pink on his face.
"Yeah, and we want some good pastries like before! Oh wait, I shouldn't ask something like that straight up. Sorry!" Charles said quickly. It looked like he was nervous for some reason.
"Oh no, it's okay Charles," Colette said kindly, the sprinkled cookie still lingering in her mind, causing a bit of anxiety to stain her voice. "Here, let's watch some TV while the cookies bake!"

While the two had fun watching TV, especially the strange commercial about a blue penguin-like humanoid needing more servants for his castle since most of his 'Waddle Dee' servants had retired, Colette couldn't help but feel nervous about the sprinkled cookie. It most likely would be noticed and would probably taste really bad...
As Henry and Charles laughed and made jokes about the strange commercial that aired on TV, Colette looked over at the oven and felt nervousness climb down her back.
'No, it's gonna be alright,' She determinedly assured herself while staring at the oven. 'I'm sure the cookies would taste great!'
DIIING!
She almost jumped straight out of her couch and onto the ceiling when she heard the oven ding, she looked over at Henry and Charles, only to see them looking intently back at her.
"Well? You gonna get the pastries? I can't wait!" Charles exclaimed, smiling brightly.
"Take Your Time. Your baking is delicious, but I'm willing to wait, just for you." Henry flirted, winking.
'Pfft, what a heart thief.' She rolled her eyes at Henry jokingly and skipped over to the cookies, making sure as to not trip.
She gingerly took them out of the oven and glanced at the sprinkled cookie. She winced when it looked worse.
'Oh god, it looks terrible... I bet it tastes bad t-' "Ahhh!" Suddenly, she felt her foot trip over something on her floor, and her body was now propelling straight to the ground, most likely about to end in a face plant...
Until somebody caught her.
She opened her eyes and saw Henry catch her in a bridal style, before his eyes widened and quickly letting go of her. "Don't get the wrong idea." He said, now facing away from her with a beat-red face.
"Thanks Henry, but the cookies..." She looked around for the cookies on the ground, but they were no where to be found.
Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw Charles chomping on the cookies with the baked sprinkles. For a moment, she felt great worry that it would taste bad, but saw Charles's face slowly light up brightly. Was he... enjoying it?
"Mmm, these are delicious! You're a maestro!" He heavily complimented, eating the rest of the cookie. "It's so good, I think I might be smitten! You're such a darling baker."
"That's enough, Phones. At least save some for me since I caught her."
"Too bad ex-thief, I ate it all!"
Colette giggled as she watched the two boys bicker over the cookies, Henry sometimes making a motion to get one of them only to get caught.
"Hehe, you guys are really just silly, aren't you?"
