TAKES PLACE 2 YEARS AFTER TRIPLE THREAT

(Henry has a memory blast for a day from all the different endings, each being more terrible than the next. Ellie notices his strange behavior. What will she do? Very angsty, who knows what might happen? 1st POV for Ellie, hope you enjoy!)

   Why is he acting so... distant?

   It's like he feels afraid to talk to me... Is he cheating on me? With multiple women?!

   No... He isn't. His face is too clouded and depressed.

   It was all normal until today. I recently took a pregnancy test two days ago and it came positive, so I told him... He seemed way too happy to seem troubled about it now. And we went on a trip to the amusement park with Charles to celebrate... He was overjoyed!

   So why now all of a sudden?

   But his face... I've never seen him look so traumatized. I don't think this is about our child.

  "Henry..." I slowly approached him, as to not frighten him, but he still flinched. "What's wrong? You've been so... scared today. Is it about Helen?"

   He didn't react all that much. He only lowered his shoulders and sighed, along with his body beginning to shake.

   I'm not too surprised. After all, he's always been hesitant to tell the truth. He isn't the type to easily share things.

   But I'm really concerned... What the hell is going on?

  "Henry, please, just tell me. I'm willing to listen, I promise. We're going to be parents after all, we need to be listen to each other." I put my hand on his shoulder softly.

   Abruptly, he hugged me tight out of no where, like... he was in need of dire help. Dammit, I hope he's okay.

  "It's obvious by now..." He said with a crackled tone. "Don't you remember the letter...?"

   That's right! We had a strange letter appear in our mailbox the day after I tested for pregnancy... It was ominous and strange, but now, I know what it meant.

"Dear Stickmin,

Once the sun falls in your present, alternate worlds and mentalities will be absorbed within your mind. Shall you feel overwhelmed... Be not stressed, the worlds and mentalities will be erased once with one cherished. Good luck.

   But the person who sent the letter... I have no idea who they are, but all I know is that they were the cause of this. Once I help Henry, I am so going to kill them...

  "Henry... What did you see?" I asked, hugging back. Please tell me it wasn't anything serious...

  "... I abandoned you in one, I may have killed you in one, and you hated me in one... I can't believe I'm such a terrible person." His voice faded and pained. Just why did they have to inflict this on him?

  "That didn't happen in this one, did it? I still love you, y'know?" I tightened my grip on his blue hoodie. I just hope my message gets through.

  "But I can't possibly be Helen's father. With all the things I've done, I feel like I should leave her alone..." 

   ... Fortunately, I can't just let him leave her like this. Sure, he may have done terrible things in different 'worlds' or whatever, or maybe in this one... But that doesn't mean he's terrible now. He's learned and he's matured, he's the best person to be Helen's father, and my husband.

  "... Are you kidding me?"

  "...?"

  "Henry, I don't care if you're a shitty person in those other worlds or universes or whatever. I only care if you're a good person in this 'world'. And trust me, you really are a good person. You've matured, you've seriously grown, and so have I, thanks to you. There's no better man I could ask to be a father, and my husband. I love you Henry, seriously!"

   For a moment, I saw a small smile on his face as a few tears ran by his face. I'm so happy he knows now. Now, I think we should focus on preparing for Helen.

  "... Thank you, Ellie. I love you too."
