(Look, this is a request. If you want to blame somebody for this, blame the requester. Sorry if the reader is feminine, this is geared more towards F!Reader. Charles takes you on a coffee date, but you immediately hate the taste of the coffee. Charles comments on how it might be your wolfy-ness... 2nd POV, Basically fluff. Hope you enjoy!)

   Your ears twitched excitedly and your tail swang around as you paced in front of the local cafe under the burning, summer sun. Today was finally the day where Charles could take you out to a coffee date! You hoped the summer wouldn't be too annoying, however.

   As a half animal, you've never drank any caffeine related drinks ever, and you've always wanted to gulp down the cold, mature, bittersweet taste of coffee. Especially if it's with your favorite headphone-wearing pure human(oid) in the world, Charles! And if it's in the summer! That just makes the taste even more relieving.

   You were wearing an airy outfit for summer, and hopefully one that was good for a date. Some people would look at you weirdly due to your exposed ears and tail, but you didn't really pay mind to them as you waited. You just couldn't wait for him to fly down from his helicopter and greet you cheerfully.

(Some clothing choices, 'cause, y'know, this universe makes everyone humanoid! And making choices is fun. So, take your pick!)

   You ear twitched as you suddenly got scent of Charles, and turned towards the scent happily. He waved at you, a big, cherry smile on his face.

  "Y/N! Sorry I'm late," He ran towards you, quickly adjusting his headphones. "I got in a little... accident. Yeah, sorry."

  You sniffed him suspiciously, and he had a strange after-scent of... gasoline? Well, he wasn't with any lady, that's for sure. "Nah, it's fine Charles. After all, I finally get to drink some coffee today!"

  Charles's eyes lit up at your enthusiasm, his face lighting up as well. "C'mon, let's get inside before the sun scorches us." 

   You nodded optimistically and opened the door to the cafe...

   The cafe was soaked in the scent of delectable sweets and caffeine, along with some tea. There were multiple couples sitting at tables chatting among each other, unbothered by the clanking bells alerting one of the staff to dash over to them.

  "Hey there, I'm Y/N L/N! We're here for a two-person table."

  "Okay... err, by the way, we don't condone cosplayers due to overpopulation. One particular incident with people in animal suits in a bathroom reenacting 2 gi... Ugh, I don't wanna even think about it."

  "Really? But those ears of her's are real." Charles pointed at your ears, immediately making them twitch.

  The waiter raised an eyebrow and shrugged. "Fine, follow me to your table."

   The two of you sat across one another on a brick-red booth. You kicked your legs excitedly under your desk, your tails moving around playfully. While Charles stared intently, he seemed entertained by your actions. Until of course, a waitress came and received your orders.

  "Hello, What would you like to order?"

  "I'd like some Cole Coka, Y/N would like some coffee."

   You were expecting Charles to order Cole Coka. After all, that is his favorite soda! You've tried it before, and you liked it! But you doubt this cafe has soda.

  "We don't have Cole, sir."

  "Okay... What about Pep-c?"

  "We don't serve carbonated drinks."

  "... Fine, Green Tea."

   You immediately spat out the remnants of the coffee you drank, your ears lowered, sticking your tongue out in dismay.

  "I-is this really what coffee tastes like?! It's so... bitter!" You quickly pushed away the coffee before eating a few bites of Y/F/S, (Your Favorite Sweet) thankfully drowning out the horrid taste.

  "Yeah, I didn't like coffee at first," Charles began, taking a sip of some of his green tea. "It tastes okay right now, though. Maybe it might be because you're part animal?"

  You shook your head. "No way, my animal part doesn't affect my tongue."

  Charles started staring more intensely at you for some reason. "Still, it's kinda strange... With,  y'know, you being part wolf an' all. Seriously, I never thought I'd date someone like you."

  "Well you are now!" You said cheekily. "I know I may not be as nice and caring as a pure human, but I'll try my best, pilot man!"

  "Of course you are, don't be so modest. You volunteered to help out with repairing my copter the other day!" He objected.

  "Thanks Charles... By the way, d'you think you can get me another drink that doesn't have caffeine?"

  "Sure, why don't you drink some of my green tea?"
