15.] Henry x Ellie - ❝Why are you sorry!?❞

[Something told me I should've made this monochrome with Ellie's hair being the only color... Hmm. Oh well! It's cringe anyways.]

TAKES PLACE THREE YEARS AFTER TRIPLE THREAT

Requested by @golezb tysm :)

(This will be a 1st POV in Henry's eyes, and this might be angsty, or fluffy. Who knows?! Also, thank you all so much for 10k+ reads! I will be making a special soon! Another thing to add is that Henry's backstory is not my headcanon, it is the requester's. Hope you enjoy! Also, for a challenge, try to count how many references there are here and what they're based off of! Good luck!)

Well, it's been a long, long time ever since that mission.

I'd never believe it if somebody told me I was going to get married to the girl I loved back then. Honestly, the past few days ever since the wedding have been amazing.

Charles and a couple old friends of mine and Ellie had even managed to donate a chunk of money for our honeymoon to New York! Honestly, those guys are great. (We also had to sell the Tunisian Diamond for a couple extra bucks... Haaagh.)

The days have been slow, happy, romantic and... So many other happy emotions I can't exactly describe. Ellie... She's the reason my kleptomania has calmed down, she's the reason why I keep fighting, she's the reason why I've done so many good things, and I know damn that she's definitely my forever girl.

I could gush more, but that would be annoying.

Anyways, on the final day of our honeymoon, the two of us decided to go to lavish (by lavish, I mean REALLY LAVISH AND FANCY. Seriously, I even saw PieDewPew there with his wife, Lauria.) restaurant located near the heart of New York City. It was a famous french-themed one that had delicious and nutritious meals.

Unfortunately, that means a whole lot of reservations and very long lines.

But it was all worth the three bathroom breaks in between waiting, because we finally got to the front!

"Hello and welcome to La Cuisine du Lapin, New York's highest rated French restaurant," The boy with a fancy waiter outfit said kindly. "You are... Henry Stickmin, and that is your wife next to you, Ellie Rose, correct?"

I nodded happily. "Yes, this is actually the final day of our honeymoon, and we decided to spend it here." I explained enthusiastically.

"Hoho, that's great, both of you," He responded joyfully. "But now, it's time for us to head to your table. Please, follow me."

The young man started skating through many fancy rooms, (All of the waiters and waitresses had rollerskates!) in which you could even see fancy nobles, entertainers such as street performers and instrument players, internet celebrities taking selfies or recording videos, until we finally stopped in an emptier, but still somewhat crowded room on the 2nd floor.

He led us to a small table next to the window wall, where you could see cars drive by and people walking and running around while the sun was shining brightly and happily onto them. It was an amazing sight.

"Another waiter or waitress will come to receive your order. Here is Cuisine Lapin's menus for today," He placed two menus on the table, which Ellie thanked him with a smile. "Goodbye for now, lovebirds."

"Lovebirds..." Ellie muttered as she opened the menu. "I guess we could be called that, but it's so extra. I prefer 'happy couple'." Ellie said unconsciously as she flipped through the menu.

I knew I should've been looking at the menu to order, but... I couldn't tear my eyes off of Ellie. She was wearing a dark red and white striped maxi dress that complimented her long hair, and her eyes were a beautiful stone blue...

   Shit, she caught me!

"Y'know, I'm not the menu Hen," She said teasingly as she smiled at me. "Get your order before the waiter comes! I don't want to pick for you!"

I laughed and nodded. "Fine, if you say so." I quickly opened the menu to be met with tons and tons of descriptive orders.

Okay, spaghetti... spaghetti... There it is. A medium bowl of spaghetti topped with a bit of shaved cheddar; a Papy and Sandson special. Sounds delicious.

"Alright, I'm ordering some spaghetti," I said casually as I looked back up at Ellie. "What's your order?"

"I'll be ordering a filet mignon, I've never tried one before, so I mind as well since I'm here," She said enthusiastically. "Even if I don't like the taste of it, I'm sure it'll taste better with you."

"I'm sure the spaghetti'll taste amazing too since you're here," I said happily back. "I love you, Ellie."

"I love you too, Henry. You're the best." And soon the two of us were talking our heads off, about Charles, the government, even the Toppats! It was great to say the least, after all, I was talking only with my wife. Just her, and nobody else.

Suddenly, I heard someone strangely familiar interrupt us.

"Ahem!" I heard a high-pitched feminine voice interject. "I'm sorry for the rude interruption but, I'm here to take both of your orders!"

I turned my head over to her and saw a lady with a brown ponytail and asymmetrical bangs... There's only one person I know that has had asymmetrical bangs. That was...

"Greetings to both of you, I'm Hannah Stickmin, your waitress for today! Now, may I get your orders?"

I knew this day would come. And I was never prepared for it.

When I was a Freshman in High School, my mother was abusive to me but kind to my sister. My sister; Hannah, had always teased me for my kleptomania. This just made it worse. Imagine the kleptomania I had back then, and increase it tenfold. That was how bad it was back then.

I ended up robbing my old local market of a whole lot of expensive items, and it finally satiated it. But when I realized what I had done, it was too late, and I had already arrived at the house. I told my sister that I was going to run away, and she begged me to stay. She even promised to stop teasing me.

I was an idiot back then and I shouldn't have ran away, but... that would mean I wouldn't have met Ellie... That kind of alternate universe scares me.

Well, there's no where to run, and there's no where to hide. Time to spill the beans.

"... Hannah?"  I asked her, looking her deep in the eyes.

Her eyes widened, and she covered her mouth. "Henry...?! I-- I thought you were...!"

I sighed heavily before looking back at Ellie, who's face was filled with confusion. How the hell am I going to explain this to her? "Ellie... This is Hannah, my sister. Hannah, this is my wife, Ellie."

"And now you went on and got married?!" She blurted out, her face in disbelief. Judging by how she reacted, she must've watched the news back then...

"I... I know that this is no time or place but... I deeply apologize. For running away. For everything. I was a horrible brother, I didn't deserve the pain I gave you and... the woman who watched over us." I said, words stumbling out my throat.

   Of all times... Why now...?

"Why are you so sorry all of a sudden!?" She asked in disbelief. "Why are you sorry for that?!"

"You don't need to accept forgiveness, this is just from me. You can talk to me after this. I just don't want Ellie to get hurt..." At this point, I kept my gaze on her. I wasn't going to cower away, I needed to face this head on.

"No, no. Why are you sorry for THAT? You should be sorry for not inviting me to your wedding!" She said angrily, her gaze... somewhat playful.

"Okay, hold on, hold on," Ellie interrupted us. "Hannah, can you please explain what's happening?! I know your his sister and Henry, you thought she hated you for running away... But Hannah, why do you forgive him?" She asked, her right eyebrow raised.

"Oh yeah, I should prolly explain that," She began. "The reason I forgive you, bro, is because you literally took down the Toppat Clan! And you've scored yourself a life partner before I was able too! To be honest... I was mad at you at first, but now I forgive you. You've actually inspired me to get out of a really bad hole too. I used to be working for a mafia, but look at me now! I'm a happy waitress for my favorite restaurant in the entire New York City... And that was all thanks to you, Henry."

It took me a moment to process everything. After all these years, I thought she absolutely hated me, despised me for my actions. But she forgave me...

"Hannah... I just... Y-You really can't be..." Tears started to fall down my face as I held a true, genuine smile. Why was I smiling while I was crying? What the hell is this feeling?

"Hey, it's alright bro, I forgive you for real. In fact, I love you, man. You are a real role model. So, sibling plus your wife hug?" She asked, trying to brighten up the mood. I felt Ellie's smile, so I knew she was all in on comforting me. These women are the best.

"*sniff* Sibling plus my gorgeous wife Hug."

And after all that, it turned back to normal. She asked us for the order, and in less than 15 minutes they came in! They say haste makes waste, but there was in fact no waste! I could seriously eat the spaghetti ten more times and wouldn't get tired of it. And Ellie was enjoying it too! As long as she's happy, I'm happy.

"Alright lovebirds, as an apology for not inviting me to your wedding, you're gonna make me the organizer for your baby shower." Hannah said as she slowly skated, keeping a walking speed.

"We will, don't worry!" Ellie said smiling as she held my hand. Wait...

"Baby shower?! But this is our-!!!" I exclaimed, my face flushing up as Ellie and my sister laughed at me.

"Oh, I can't wait to be an auntie! You guys better have kids soon!"

  "Oh dear..."
