"Hey, what's up?"

My reverie was broken as I gave her a confused look.

"What are you thinking?"

"I, well..."

"Huh! Now you're hiding things from me?" her voice was indignant.

"Actually, I was reminiscing the time when we met and I submitted myself to you, shadowing you through every one of our missions.

She sat down beside me and took my hand,"Cecilia, what are you remembering?"

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, "You christened me Radium."

"That's because I sensed a radioactive presence in your body. You're genetically mutated and hence you can generate a radium aura."

"But you're the one who actually helped me to channelise and use the vast amount of powers as an weapon of offense. Now I can create a radium chain and summon the sword of light..."

"Cecilia, you're not only my companion. You're my friend, the half of me, the piece of jigsaw puzzle that completes me..."

I hugged Vanessa tightly, "Remember how you helped me design my dress?"

"Yours has a thin lead lining to contain the powers in you, the metals running through your blood."

"I actually loved the white and blue color scheme, not to forget the glowing superhero symbol. It looks chic and well goes well with my platinum blonde hair," I grinned.

"The gown has built-in systems and codes to punch in. Those are all what you did. I just made you shift your lazy bum and get to work so that you can bring out the hero in you," she picked up the cold soda.

"Well, that spandex is actually quite stuffy with all the writing I did and in this heat, it's a dreadful container. But thanks anyway for it."

"Well you helped with my hideout! Who would have thought about an abandoned bunker? You made a hi tech one right below the city where no villain can ever get access."

"I'm 23 and a software engineer cum architect... Designing and planning is my speciality. With our life and risks, it's absolutely necessary to make a high-tech password protected enclosure away from public eyes."

"I completely agree, but I actually ruined your life. You can never ever be the normal girl you were trying to be," her expression was, pained.

"I was never a normal girl. Since the time my mother accidentally drank neutrino which affected me in her womb, I was ever a freak in the eyes of all. You gave me a purpose in life..."

She squeezed my hand hard.

"We need more devices as the evil are going bolder. Advanced technologies are needed to combat them. You're the expert in this field."

"Your wish, my command," I chuckled, giving her an over exaggerated salute.

She mock punched me in the ribs and we got up, back to work.

Relaxing peacefully was never my job as we had a whole range of evil forces to defeat and we yet don't know who the mastermind is behind the mask.
