Vandal received a text message from Seraphina. He checked it and what he read came as a surprise:

He'll eat Rey's owl, eight, soon

He knew it was a code and took the first letters of each word: H E R O E S.

They got her again, he thought. He grabbed his weapons and went to find her.

How am I supposed to find her? he thought. He sighed.

I'll find you, he thought.

Back at the heroes' hideout, Seraphina held a pocket knife and got free.

"What do you think you're doing, Seraphina?" Timmothy asked.

Seraphina stabbed his leg and twisted his wrist. She stabbed his eye and ran.

Timmothy screamed. Ida and the others ran in. Seraphina let Timmothy bleed out. She ran as fast as she could. Nathaniel shot at her leg. Seraphina avoided the bullet. Nathaniel kept shooting at her. Seraphina ran to the exit, avoiding the bullets.

Kenna tackles her down to the ground holding a gun to her head. Seraphina grabbed a metal pipe and knocked Kenna out, using the gun to shoot Nathaniel and Ida, killing them on the spot. She also shot Kenna. Timmothy growls then passed. The door was wide open.

Seraphina ran out and bumped into Vandal. Vandal hugged her. "You're okay," he said.

"I told you I could take care of myself," said Seraphina, hugging him back.

"I know, Seraphina, I love you," Vandal said. He pulled away from the hug and kissed her gently.

Seraphina kissed him back. Vandal made it a little deeper but not too much. Seraphina pulled away.

"Hey!" she said.

"What?" Vandal asks. He was teasing.

"No," said Seraphina.

"No?" Vandal asks.

"I'm celibate," said Seraphina.

"I didn't know. You never told me. I'm sorry," Vandal said.

"I accept your apology. But don't do it again," she said, smacking him in the arm lightly.

"Ah, that hurt," Vandal said. He smiled. "I kid. Very badly. Let's go home?" he asks.

"Yeah," said Seraphina.

Vandal kisses her head. Seraphina blushed.

"I'm allowed to do that?" Vandal asks.

"Yes," said Seraphina.

"Yay," Vandal said.

Seraphina giggled, racing Vandal back to her apartment. "Last one there is a rotten apple!" she called.

"You're on!" Vandal yelled, running after her.

Seraphina ran as fast as she could.

Vandal was slightly faster than her. Seraphina beat him.

Vandal gasped. "How did—" he pants.

"I've been working out," she said.
