Ok, now your going to think I'm really crazy. Maybe.

Today at school, I tried being more friendly to people. No, we aren't at the crazy part yet.

Anyway, this is what happened.
There's this girl, Jade, who I've been really trying to be friends with. Emphasis on trying. She's popular, like my dream best friend.

And all I did was walk up to her and say:

"Hey Jade, do you want to be friends?"

You know, like a nice person. Because that's what I was trying to be.

She replied: "Haha, no thanks" and then started laughing. So did the rest of her stupid posse.

Then, I heard a small croaky voice behind me say:

"I'll be friends with you Gio."

I spun around quickly and saw Glendy standing there with a hopeful look on her face. You can tell by her name that she is horrible. Horrible as in annoying, nerdy, the OPPOSITE of popular. Her name sounds like a brand of toilet paper.

Actually, those are all understatements. I was thinking "Really? That's the best I could do? Glendy?" I guess so, but not for long...

Hopefully.

Aunt Wilma picked me up from school.

"Why do you think nobody wants to be friends with me?" I asked her as I hopped into her car.

"Well, are you nice at school? Wait, was that a rhetorical question?" She replied.

"It was rhetorical." I said in return, sighing.

The rest of the car ride was silent.

When we pulled up at the driveway, Aunt Wilma's phone started to ring.  She picked it up, and this is all I heard:

"This is she... Oh... Really... I see.. Is he ok?... Hmm... hmmm.. alright, thanks for calling! I'll come right now... Ok thanks again... Bye!!"

When she hung up, I asked her who that was. She said it was my brother, Brian's, school. He got into a car accident while trying leaving the parking lot. 

And he was at the hospital.

With that news, she started the car again and we headed straight towards the hospital, no questions asked. You think this is bad? Oh, this is only the beginning.

A/N
You may be thinking "that's it? That's a short chapter...." Or "wow this book is going really fast...." But it actually isn't. I like to start books off with a problem at the beginning so its just as interesting as the ending. And yea, short chapter eh? Well, most of them will be like that. Enjoy!
