It's now Monday morning, ugh.... The weekend is over, now Lockdown is gonna have to stay home by himself. I didn't want him getting into anything, so I locked my bedroom door from the outside and my closet too. Cassidy and I walked into the classroom and sat at our desks.

"What are you going to do with him?" Cassidy whispered to me.

"I'm not sure yet." I whisper back.

"Maybe he'll grow back to his original size, the shrink effect might wear off." She said.

"Yeah, maybe." I said.

"Alright class, today we will be learning to write in cursive." Our homeroom teacher, Mrs. Kirby said.

Oh boy, it's going to be a boring day.

Skip to Recess

Cassidy and I were playing on the playground before lunch, I had my Frozen backpack with me because I had an extra sandwich in there. We sat down under a tree in the cooling shade and I opened my backpack to see him in there.

"Lockdown? Why are you in my backpack?" I whispered to him.

Cassidy saw him in there, "Oh geez."

"Your mother put me in here, I didn't even want to come! I barely fit in here!" Lockdown hissed.

"Wait, you fit just fine on Friday. Now you barely fit? Hang on a second." I took him out and set him down gently.

I noticed that he did look a little bigger than before, maybe an inch or two taller. Cassidy took out a ruler I keep in my backpack, I keep it for math. I held it next to him, 12 inches or a foot tall. Cassidy and I looked at each other, she was right. Lockdown is starting to grow back to his original size, OH BOY.

"I think you're right Cassidy, he is starting to grow back to original size." I said to her.

"I was right? Wow, that never happens. But how are you gonna keep him hidden when he's about our size? Your parents are gonna notice him then." Cassidy added.

"Leave that to me, I still have a few useful devices on me." Lockdown said while crossing his little arms.

"Okay good." I give him a thumbs up.

"Ariel, who's toy is that?" Mrs Kirby comes over to us. I already came up with an excuse in case she noticed.

"I found it, I asked if it belonged to anyone. But everyone I asked said no." I sorta lied.

"Oh okay, I was just curious." She walked away.

"That was close." Cassidy sighed.

"I know." I sighed too.

"You are a good kid." I heard Lockdown grumble.

"You're welcome." I said with a smirk.

Mrs. Kirby blew the whistle, meaning it was time to go back inside. I put Lockdown back in my backpack, I know he doesn't like it but it has to be done.

"Sorry Lockdown, it's only until schools over in an hour." I whispered to him.

"Longest hour of my life..." I heard him muffled.

Cassidy and I laugh at his statement. He's so grumpy at times, but other times he's alright. But now he's such a Ratchet.

Time skip: End of School

Cassidy and I were walking starting our walk home, now Lockdown can come out of my backpack. I opened it and gently took him out, he sighed of relief.

"Feel better now?" I ask.

"Yes, much. Get a bigger bag is what I suggest." Lockdown grumbled.

"Hey look, it's the little mermaid." A bully named Christian said.

I hate him with all my heart, I never did anything to him. I saw Lockdown glance up at Christian, Cassidy glared. He saw Lockdown in my hands and laughed.

"Look at your little lame toy, if only it was real it could protect you." Christian cracked his knuckles.

Lockdown looked furious at him, then he pulled out one of his plasma guns and aimed it right at Christian's nose.

"Be careful what you wish for, kid." Lockdown said angrily.

Christian froze, staring at Lockdown. My eyes grew wide as he did. Nothing can scare Christian, but this apparently can. I then smile.

"Your little toy can talk?" Christian said nervously.

"Not a toy." Lockdown and I said together.

Lockdown aimed his gun at a weed flower and fired, it burst into flames. Christian screamed and ran off after that happened, Cassidy and I laughed like maniacs after that happened. Cassidy took her water bottle and sprayed it on the burning flower to put it out.

"Thanks for that." I said to Lockdown.

"Consider us even." Said Lockdown.

"What for?" I ask.

"You covered for me earlier, I covered for you just now." He explained.

"Oh." I feel stupid now.

"See you tomorrow, Cassidy!" I walked into my house as she walked into hers.
