We've all been there. Where people you're close to know about your sexuality but still make comments about how you'll grow out of it. Its awful.

My mom "accepts" me, but tells my family members that I'm just not interested in dating for right now.

My aunts and uncles "accept" me, but they tell me I'll date eventually. "It's only natural afterall!"

My dad didn't even try to accept me. He just said I wasn't and I never brought it up with him again.

Don't get me wrong, I love them dearly! They just can't quite understand why I'm "not into dating". Which is fair. I mean, they grew up in an entirely different generating with different viewpoints on the LGBT+ community. They never got to learn about it as kids, so no wonder they're confused! I hope I can help them understand in the future.
