Diego Morgan is the youngest son of Pamela and Michael Morgan. He also has a twin sister name Helena. He was named Diego as his father is a fan of Diego Maradona. When Diego was 12 years old, he and his twin sister stayed with his uncle at London as they both later managed to get a place in Chelsea FC academy. When Diego was 16 years old, he was called up for USA U17 for 2015 CONCACAF U17 Championship which he then became the top scorer of the tournament with 9 goals to help USA ended at the 3rd place and qualified to the U17 World Cup. At the tournament, he scored 5 goals but failed to help USA to make it the next round after finished at the bottom of the group stage. A year later, both Diego and Helena got their UK citizenship making them eligible to play for England too. But only Diego interested to do so while Helena wants to play with USA together with one of their sisters; Alex Morgan. That chance came just a year later as he was called up for England U19 squad for 2016 U19 European Championship where he became the top scorer with 10 goals to help England to finish the tournament at 3rd place qualify to 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup. At the tournament, not only England managed to win it, Diego also ended up being the Golden Boot winner after scoring 13 goals in the tournament.

Diego started as a pro when he just 17 years old as he was loaned out to Everton. Despite only played in 15 league's matches, he managed to score 10 goals. When he was 18, he signed 3 years contract with Leicester City. In the first season, he scored 17 goals and made it amongst top scorer list of the season. He then got called up for England squad at 2018 FIFA World Cup.
