Two Worlds
Spirit was training, no he was not training with the team, he was currently with Fright Knight, Frostbite, and Clockwork. Right now Clockwork was helping him, "Picture where you want to go, think of the place you want to be."
Spirit concentrated for a few seconds before he teleported to the x they made in the snow. They were in the Far Frozen since it gave them plenty of space to train which was good when they were working with some of Spirit's powers. Spirit reappeared a few feet in the air and because he wasn't expecting it he fell in the snow.
He groaned in irritation before he sat up and brushed the snow off of his clothing, "I still need to work on that."
Fright Knight helped him stand before speaking, "You'll master teleporting soon my king, how have you been with absorbing electricity?"
"I've been getting better, absorbing a lot at one time is difficult but I'm adjusting, I'm still having problems with using it though, I can't control the output."
Fright Knight nodded, "We'll work on that tomorrow, for now I'd like to see how you're doing with your combat skills."
Frostbite walked over, "That's my division, would you like to spar great one?"
Spirit shrugged, "Why not?" After the two took their places Fright Knight signaled the start of the match and they fought.
While they were fighting Fright Knight leaned closer to Clockwork, "What are your thoughts on his progress?"
"He has been doing well, he's even beginning to learn how to levitate objects, though he still has a long way to go."
"And you aren't concerned?"
"About?"
"He has a lot of responsibilities, not just here but also in the human realm, not to mention those that wish to harm him."
"He does indeed have a great amount of responsibility but he has done well so far."
"And in the future?"
Clockwork smiled to himself, "We will find out in due time." Fright Knight sighed before they both looked at Spirit and Frostbite, the halfa had already taken down the yeti.
Spirit then looked at the time, "Oh shit, I have to go."
Clockwork smiled, "Going to see that team of yours?"
Spirit glared at him a little and Clockwork created a portal, "Be careful, you know how easy it is for you to get into trouble."
Spirit nodded and went through the portal, Frostbite looked at the master of time, "What team?" Clockwork just smiled knowingly and left.
Spirit got to the mountain as Miss Martian and Superboy were carrying things out of the bio-ship. Batman spoke, "Did you get everything?"
Spirit rolled his right shoulder, Frostbite managed to land a few hits and his shoulder kind of hurt. Robin smiled at him when he noticed that the halfa was in the room, Spirit smiled back before he felt something, it was magic. All of a sudden the Leaguers disappeared and Zatanna shouted, "Dad!"
Spirit's eyes widened a little before he growled, whoever did this was not going to be happy when Spirit found them. Aqualad immediately gave each of them orders, they needed to figure out what was going on. Spirit tried making some calls but none of them went through, when he tried calling Clockwork it worked.
Clockwork spoke, "I'm sure you called about what's going on."
"Yeah, what the hell is going on?" Spirit felt something go around his neck and he looked around, the others were frozen and Clockwork was in front of him. "You froze time, why?"
"It'll be easier to tell you all of this directly and I'm sure your friends wouldn't want a stranger appearing out of nowhere."
"Fair point, so what the hell is going on?"
"Magic users have used a spell to create two different worlds, one for children and one for adults. All of the adults have vanished and all of you are the only ones that can break the spell on your end."
Spirit looked slightly confused, "Why are you telling me all of this, you've never been this helpful. And if this world is for the kids then why are you here?"
"I am neither young nor old Danny, I am time, and I'm telling you all of this because the observants can't stop me."
Spirit smirked, "Revenge against you're annoying bosses, I know how you feel, anything else I need to know?"
"Nothing you won't be able to easily figure out, but I will tell you to be careful." Spirit nodded, he was about to give Clockwork his medallion back when the ghost stopped him. "Keep it, you might as well have one at this point."
Spirit smiled, "I'll keep it safe."
Clockwork smiled, "I know you will, I leave the rest to you."
Clockwork disappeared and time started up again, Robin spoke, "The news isn't saying anything, literally, there's no one there."
Spirit spoke, "And there's not going to be, someone used magic to get rid of the adults, we're on our own."
Kid Flash looked confused, "How do you know that, and what's that thing?"
Spirit looked at the medallion Kid Flash was pointing to, "That's not important." Spirit hid the medallion under his jacket and looked at the heroes, "What is important is that we figure out what to do."
Aqualad nodded, he told Miss Martian, Kid Flash, Artemis, and Superboy to go into town and help the younger kids. Robin and Zatanna were told to check social media to see if all the adults were really gone and see if there were any other heroes. Spirit and Aqualad were going to make a few calls and see if they could get a hold of their respective people.
Spirit was busy calling the ghost zone, the vampires, the werewolves, anyone he could think of that he knew. He managed to get hold of Young Blood, aside from Clockwork there weren't any other adult ghosts. A few of the younger vampires managed to get a hold of him using the emergency line, and a werewolf used Beo's phone to call him.
So far Clockwork was the only adult still hanging around, since he couldn't do a lot he wouldn't be a lot of help anymore. Spirit mentally sighed, Aqualad left after he managed to talk to people in Atlantis and Spirit kept calling the kingdoms he hadn't heard from. After another twenty minutes or so Robin walked into the room, "Have you heard anything?"
Spirit sighed, "The ghosts that are permanently kids are still here, Clockwork's there too but he can't do much. Some of the vampires are there, a few werewolves, and I haven't heard anything from the others. I gave the vampires and werewolves instructions, with the vampire king and first heir missing I'm in charge until we can sort all of this out."
Robin looked concerned, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine, just tired, and a little concerned about what's happening to the others, Fright Knight's not going to be happy. Since I'm not around he, Frostbite, Dora, and Pandora are going to have to handle everything."
Robin sighed, "Hopefully we fix this soon, but for now Zatanna's going to try and find whoever did this using a locator spell."
Spirit mentally sighed and nodded before they both walked out of the room, Robin held Spirit's hand to try and make him feel a little better. When they joined up with the rest of the team, Robin brought up a holo-map and Zatanna stepped up so she could do the spell. Zatanna took a deep breath before she said the spell and a red dot appeared on the map.
Robin spoke, "Coordinates locked in, Roanoke island, you did it."
They immediately got to work on figuring out a plan for once they headed out to Roanoke and after a minute or two the sound of thunder came from behind them. They all turned and a kid wearing a red jacket was behind them, Spirit then remembered that Captain Marvel was a kid when he wasn't a hero. Aqualad spoke, "Where did you come from, who are you?"
Billy spoke, "Quick, read my mind."
Spirit spoke, "Don't need to, you're Captain Marvel, well, when you're not being a hero that is."
Billy looked shocked, "How did you know that?"
"It's not hard to figure out when you know what you're doing, I'm dead not stupid."
Billy stared at him for a minute before he snapped out of it, "Okay, now I can explain what's going on."
"There are two separate dimensions, one for adults and one for kids, you're able to travel between them."
Billy once again stared at Spirit, "Seriously, how do you know all of this?"
"A very wise, slightly annoying ghost told me what was happening."
Billy looked confused, "Huh?"
"Long story short, I have some very weird friends." Billy gave him a weird look and Spirit continued, "That doesn't matter right now, since we can talk to the others now we can make a plan."
Aqualad nodded, "Can you tell the others?" Billy nodded, that was how the weird game of telephone started, Billy would tell them what the League said and vice versa. Now that they finally had a plan they could go to Roanoke and take down whoever was doing all of this.
