The next day the team was at the mountain, they started walking toward where the zeta tubes were while Aqualad spoke. "We have reason to feel proud of yesterday's victories, but one thing has not changed."

Robin spoke, "Somehow the bad guys are still getting intel about us."

Spirit growled a little, "And no matter how hard we try we can't figure out how."

Kid Flash spoke, "Yeah but at least we know none of us are the mole."

When they walked into the room Batman and Red Tornado were there, Batman spoke, "That's correct, the mole was Red Arrow."

Robin's eyes widened, "Roy?!"

Kid Flash looked absolutely stunned, "No way!"

Aqualad spoke, "Batman that can not be, he was Green Arrow's protege, we have all known him for years."

Red Tornado spoke, "Unfortunately the Roy Harper we have known for the last three years is another project Cadmus clone."

Batman continued, "We've learned that the real Speedy was abducted and replaced immediately after becoming Green Arrow's sidekick. The clone was preprogrammed with a drive to join the Justice League, which is why he was so angry over any delays to his admission, and why he refused to join the team."

"This Roy Harper had no idea he was a clone or a traitor, and his subconscious programming drove him to become 'League worthy', so he struck out on his own as Red Arrow. When he was finally admitted his secondary programming kicked in, and he attempted to betray the League to Vandal Savage. Fortunately I had already deduced Red Arrow was a clone, we were prepared."

Red Tornado took over, "Savage was subdued, but Red Arrow escaped, he is now a fugitive, armed and dangerous."

Realization dawned on Superboy and he rubbed the back of his neck, "If you guys hadn't rescued me from Cadmus..."

Robin spoke, "What- what happened to the real Roy?"

Batman answered, "We don't know, he isn't at Cadmus, we have to face the possibility that the real Roy Harper is dead." Everyone looked either shocked or sad, Robin glared at the ground and Spirit held his hand, Robin held his hand tightly.

Artemis was going to comfort Kid Flash but she hesitated, she didn't know what to do, and that made her feel worse. Aqualad spoke, "The clone Roy, the team will find him."

Batman spoke, "Negative, Red Arrow is a member of the Justice League now, leave him to us." Spirit then heard a beeping and Batman spoke again, "I'm needed on the watchtower, Red Tornado, stay with the kids."

Batman then left, once he was gone Aqualad spoke into the mind link, 'Clone or no clone, Red Arrow was one of us, we will go after him.'

Spirit then saw Red Tornado walk up behind Aqualad, Spirit got a bad feeling about it so he grabbed Aqualad and got him away from the android. But right then Red Tornado seemed to shut down out of nowhere, Spirit didn't know why it happened but he wanted to find out.

Miss Martian seemed slightly shocked, 'Tornado!'

Superboy spoke, 'What happened to him?'

Robin had already started scanning him as Kid Flash spoke, 'He's totally powered down.'

Robin spoke, 'All functions offline.'

Zatanna spoke, "Guys, I'm sensing a low level mystic force at play here I don't know if it caused his shut down but, now that I think about it, I was getting the same buzz off Batman."

Spirit spoke, 'Batman called us kids, he's never called any of us kids.' Spirit then noticed something in Red Tornado's hand and he grabbed it and looked at it closely.

Kid Flash spoke, 'Wait, let me see that.' Spirit tossed it to the Speedster and he looked at it, "It's one of those biochips we confiscated off Cheshire.'

Aqualad spoke, 'Something is not right.' He then looked at them, 'Robin, Kid, Zatanna, Rocket, Spirit, see if you can get Tornado back online.The rest with with me to find Ro- Red Arrow.'

Aqualad and his small team left and the others started trying to get Red Tornado back online. Robin spoke, 'The Problem is hardware not software, but where do we start?'

Zatanna walked closer and she stared up at the entrance to where Red Tornado stayed at the mountain. "I have a thought." After Zatanna explained her idea Spirit went to get the other body Red Tornado had apparently been building.

The others set everything up while he was gone, Kid Flash plugged a cord into the human looking body. The data from Red Tornado's old body started downloading into the new one and Robin monitored it from his holo-glove. Kid Flash spoke, "Download in progress."

Rocket spoke, "So Tornado built this android to party?"

Zatanna looked at her, "Not exactly how he put it, but yeah, more or less."

All of a sudden the zeta tubes announced Black Canary's arrival and Spirit felt himself tense but he didn't know why. Black Canary spoke as she walked in, "Hey guys, wanted to check in, see how you're handling the-." She paused, "What are you doing to Red?!"

Kid Flash answered, "It's not how it looks!"

Black Canary looked a bit angry, "It looks like you're downloading his consciousness into a new body."

Spirit facepalmed as the download finished, Robin rubbed the back of his neck and looked away while Kid Flash spoke again. "Okay, it's exactly how it looks."

Red Tornado suddenly sat up, "Team, get out of the cave, now!"

Black Canary used her canary call and it tore Red Tornado's body apart, his torso hit Kid Flash and his legs hit Zatanna and Rocket. Spirit and Robin had gotten out of the way and were using the tables as cover so they wouldn't get hit. Spirit's ears were bleeding from the loud sound and Robin lept out from their hiding spot as soon as it stopped.

He attacked Black Canary who grabbed Robin's arm and threw him over her shoulder, Robin landed in a crouched position. Black Canary was about to use her canary call again before she noticed something Robin attached to her jacket. It exploded and green gas filled the air around her, Rocket used her powers to seal the gas in a bubble along with Black Canary.

Zatanna spoke, "Black Canary attacked us?"

Red Tornado spoke, "Black Canary is the least of our problems, we must abandon the cave." They quickly ran to the supercycle so they could leave the cave, Spirit carried Red Tornado since the android couldn't walk. When they got to the bike the zeta tubes announced the arrivals of Icon, Dr. Fate, and Captain Marvel.

By the time the three actually walked in Spirit had turned the bike invisible, which was exhausting, and they sped out of the mountain. Once Spirit thought they were safe he dropped the invisibility, he leaned back in his seat and quietly sighed. Red Tornado spoke, "Stay off your radios, let the supercycle track Superboy, instruct her to mask all signals, we can not allow the League to track us."

Kid Flash spoke, "Right, of course, just one question, why is the League after us?!"

Spirit winced at the loud sound, "Can you not yell?"

Robin looked back at Kid Flash, "Black Canary's canary call damaged his ears, he'll be fine but any loud noises will make the pain worse."

Kid Flash suddenly looked guilty, "Sorry, but why would the League be attacking us?"

Red Tornado answered, "The entire League is under the complete mental domination of Vandal Savage. Red Arrow seems to have been his means, his method was something Savage referred to as starotech. An alien bio organism infused with nanotechnology and magic, it shuts down the mind's autonomy."

"Allowing Savage to reprogram the individual to suit his needs, even my inorganic brain was not immune. But the process requires 0.16 nanoseconds to fully integrate it's hosts nervous system. That delay allowed me to create an internal subprogram which would disconnect my power cells if I attempted to infect another person."

"Fortunately the starotech is body specific, as John Smith I am now free of outside control."

Spirit spoke, "So this thing infected the whole League, including the super powered humans, the aliens, Fate, and even you without any problems?"

Red Tornado nodded, "Indeed, a remarkable achievement, one not easily countered."

Robin spoke into the mind link, though Spirit was trying to alleviate the headache he currently had he knew they were now in the bio-ship. After an hour or two of talking, planning, and getting prepared, they were confident they had a way to stop Savage. Black Canary, Red Tornado, and Red Arrow used the zeta tubes to get to the watchtower while the team used the bio-hip to get there.

After making a hole in one of the walls they all went inside and Robin spoke into the mind link. 'RT did it, wirelessly bypassed security for us as soon as he arrived, Savage shouldn't know we're here.'

Aqualad spoke, 'Move out.' The heroes quickly went from room to room finding the members of the Justice League and placing the chips on their necks. Since Spirit could not only move quickly without being seen but also hear where the heroes were it wasn't hard for him to find most of them.

One thing he found odd was that nine of them seemed to be missing, there weren't as many heartbeats as there should've been. Three came back using the zeta tubes in one of the rooms, the other six showed up where he guessed Savage was. Spirit found Robin, Superboy, Miss Martian, and Rocket just in time to help the girls with Wonder Woman.

As soon as she was down Spirit heard shouting, "No! I want the ghost boy, I was supposed to get the ghost boy!"

Spirit felt a little weirded out, he knew that voice belonged to Klarion but why the hell did he want him? Sure Spirit was the last of his kind but why was Klarion so interested in him, he needed answers. The team ran to get to Klarion and Savage before they could escape, when Klarion saw Spirit just before they escaped he smiled, it sent a shiver down Spirit's spine.

After the villains were gone Red Tornado spoke, "Congratulations team, you won the day."

Not even five seconds later there was a beep and the same voice used for the zeta tubes spoke, "Happy New Year Justice League."

Spirit briefly wondered why there was an alarm for that before Kid Flash picked Artemis up, "I should have done this a long time ago."

Artemis smiled, "No kidding." The two kissed and Spirit tried to process what the hell just happened, the way people acted was still weird to him.

Seconds later Miss Martian and Superboy kissed, then Rocket walked up to Aqualad, "Liking this team more every day."

She kissed Aqualad on the cheek before Red Tornado spoke, "Human customs still elude me."

Spirit mentally sighed, "You and me both."

Robin smiled at Spirit and surprised the halfa by pulling him closer and kissing him. Spirit was a bit shocked but he'd never say no to kissing his boyfriend, Zatanna looked over at them and gasped in shock. Robin pulled away and Zatanna's gasp prompted the others to look at them, to say that they were surprised was an understatement.

Kid Flash had put Artemis down by now and he spoke, "Wha- how?"

Robin had to hold back laughter, "Are you really that surprised?"

They all seemed to have lost the ability to speak for a minute before Aqualad spoke, "I believe we are all just confused."

Spirit spoke, "Why?"

Artemis spoke, "We didn't know you were gay!"

Robin smirked, "I'm bi, Spirit doesn't really like people so I'm not sure about him."

Spirit just shrugged and Miss Martian spoke, "I didn't know two boys could like each other."

Several members of the team paused and Spirit walked away, "Not dealing with that conversation." Spirit then completely disappeared and Robin went to find the halfa, it took him ten minutes to find him. Robin found Spirit clinging to a wall where it would have been hard to see him if you hadn't been looking.

Robin smiled, "Are you having fun?"

Spirit shrugged, "I'm just thinking."

Robin leaned against the wall next to Spirit, "About what?"

Spirit mentally sighed, "I've just had a lot to think about lately, though outing ourselves to the team is now on the list."

Robin looked confused, "What's wrong?"

Spirit looked away, "I already know the others don't exactly think of me as a friend, they probably think I'm even weirder then before."

Robin looked even more confused, "Why would they think you're weird?"

"Aside from the fact that I'm a horrible mistake of nature that never should have existed to begin with. Or maybe the fact that I'm part ghost, I barely even talk to people, my blood is green, I glow, and I've given them no reason to like me."

Robin looked at Spirit sadly before he hugged the halfa, Spirit had let go of the wall due to his shock from the sudden action. Robin held his boyfriend as close to him as he could, "They don't think you're weird, they might not completely understand you but they don't think you're weird."

Spirit didn't say anything, part of him wanted to believe Robin but the other part of him said no one could ever like him. Why Robin, or anyone else for that matter, was willing to be anywhere near him he had no idea. After a few minutes they went to see if the Leaguers were starting to wake up yet, they had to explain what happened to them.

Batman, Aqualad, Spirit, and a few other members of the Justice League sat around a table that was in a u shape. After Red Arrow said he needed to find out where the real Roy Harper was he left, along with Black Canary and Green Arrow. After they were gone Aqualad spoke, "Something else is wrong."

Batman, Robin, and Spirit glanced at each other before Robin brought up some images using the holo-computer. "The entire League was under Savages spell for just over a day, we've accounted for most of that time, but these six went missing for a full sixteen hours we can't account for."

Spirit looked at the pictures of Batman, Superman, Hawkgirl, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern (John Stewart), and Martian Manhunter. Batman spoke, "Sixteen hours, what did we do?"
