Spirit mentally sighed as the heroes waited for Kid Flash to show up, why Spirit was here he would never know. He didn't know Kid Flash all that well, in fact he didn't know most of the heroes that well, which is why it confused him every time they invited him to go somewhere. He thought about not going but Robin insisted on it so he went despite how much he didn't want to.

After another few minutes he heard Kid Flash talking to himself, "Be a tragedy if I missed my own-."

All of a sudden someone turned on the lights and Spirit winced before he closed his eyes so the lights wouldn't blind him. Being a vampire ghost made it so his eyes were sensitive to light, if he were a full vampire sunlight would kill him so he was lucky. Everyone shouted surprise, aside from Spirit for obvious reasons, and Kid Flash pretended to look surprised.

"What, oh you guys, you shouldn't have."

Spirit was finally able to open his eyes at that point and Robin spoke, "Right, not like you've been hinting for days or anything."

After the speedster took off his coat someone put a birthday hat on his head, and music started playing. Miss Martian started lighting the candles on the cakes while the others had Kid Flash sit in front of them. Miss Martian looked at Kid Flash, "We made two cakes."

Kid Flash smiled, "Awesome, what'll you guys eat?"

"We'll split the cupcake, make a wish."

Kid Flash blew out the candles and everyone clapped while Miss Martian started cutting the first cake. Kid Flash looked at her, "So, if I tell you my wish it won't come true, but if you guess." Miss Martian held out a piece of cake to him, "Nope, guess again."

Miss Martian kissed him on the forehead, "Happy birthday."

Spirit was standing next to Robin and the hero noticed that Zatanna was standing alone, Spirit noticed that he looked a little sad. Spirit looked at Robin, "Go talk to her."

Robin looked at him in shock, "What, why?"

"Because you feel bad for her, go talk to her."

Robin hesitated, "Are you sure, I did accidentally flirt with her when we first met her."

Spirit rolled his eyes, "Then make sure you don't flirt with her again, now go."

Robin smiled a little before he quickly kissed Spirit on the cheek without anyone noticing and he walked over to Zatanna. After handing her a piece of cake and talking with her a little Artemis showed up and talked to them, "Think we should tell him?"

The three looked at Kid Flash and Spirit didn't have to look to know that he was flirting with Miss Martian. Robin spoke, "He is the only one who doesn't know."

Artemis spoke, "Then please, allow me." She walked over and sat on the couch close to the speedster and whispered to him. Kid Flash looked confused before he looked at Miss Martian and Superboy, he looked incredibly put down.

"Oh man."

Then the intercoms turned on and Batman spoke, "Attention team, suit up, polar stealth, mission briefing in five."

The team looked slightly confused before they went to get ready, since Spirit actually liked the cold he didn't need to change. After a few minutes the others came back and Robin walked up to Spirit, "Looks like it's a snow day."

Spirit smirked, "My favorite kind of day, nice outfit by the way."

"You've seen it before."

"Yeah but last time I didn't get a chance to comment on it, now let's go before we're late."

Robin smiled and grabbed Spirit's hand before they walked into the room with the others. Batman's face appeared on screen a minute later and Kid Flash spoke, "Where's Flash?"

Batman spoke, "Flash and Red Tornado already have their assignments. A massive ice storm has paralyzed North America from coast to coast, satellite imagery has detected five flying ice fortresses, source unknown, which seem to he responsible and must be stopped."

Kid Flash spoke again, "Can't the watchtower blow them out of the sky or something?"

Zatanna looked confused, "What's a watchtower?"

Batman sighed, "The Leagues orbiting headquarters is not weaponized, and with both Green Lanterns off world I need all hands on deck."

Robin smiled, "Does that mean what I think it means?"

Spirit spoke, "Is this a team up?"

Kid Flash looked excited, "Woah, seriously?!"

Batman spoke again, "Superboy, use the supercycle to rendezvous with the bat plane at ice fortress one. You'll drop off Robin, Aqualad, and Spirit, and continue on with Wolf to meet up with Black Canary and Red Tornado at ice fortress two. Miss Martian, Artemis, and Zatanna take the bio-ship and rendezvous with Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter at ice fortress three."

"Other Leaguers will deal with ice fortresses four and five, sending all coordinates now."

Kid Flash spoke, "Uh, Batman, I think you skipped-."

Batman cut him off, "Kid Flash, a young girl in Seattle is in desperate need of a heart transplant. With all conventional air traffic grounded by the storm you'll need to pick up the donor heart in Boston and run it three thousand miles across country."

Kid Flash looked absolutely shocked before he shouted, "Who is this girl?!"

Batman eyes narrowed at him, "Does it matter?"

Kid Flash quietly sighed, "No, of course not, but can't we zeta-."

Robin cut him off, "Zeta tubes are offline, sorry."

Kid Flash tried to put on a convincing smile, "Right, then, how can I say no?"

Kid Flash looked down and Spirit spoke, "Batman, you know I can-."

Batman cut him off, "No, you aren't affected by the cold which makes you better suited for taking down the ice fortresses."

Kid Flash spoke, "Right, guess I won't be needing stealth." He turned off the stealth on his suit, "Speedy delivery boy at your service." Spirit gave him a slightly sad look that the speedster didn't seem to notice, Spirit felt a bit bad for him. A few minutes later they all headed out and the team passed by Kid Flash on their way to meeting up with the League.

As soon as they got to their assigned ice fortress they started working on taking them down. They took out the blasters defending the contraptions and Spirit worked on sabotaging it from the inside. Within half an hour the ice fortress was taken down and they were told to help take down the other ice fortresses.

Within about five hours all of the ice fortresses were taken down and Spirit was exhausted after it was over. He helped take down three of them and he used more then a little power to bring down each of them. Spirit was more then happy to take a break after that, he needed a break after everything that's happened lately.
