Another week passed and Spirit was finally healed enough to go on missions again, of course Batman had Robin keep an eye on him. Spirit was currently watching Robin and Aqualad train, since they didn't have a mission yet the team was hanging out at the mountain. When they were done Spirit walked over before Miss Martian and Superboy walked in with Wolf.

Robin leaned closer to Kaldur, "You know they're a couple right?"

Kaldur smiled, "I believe I knew before they did."

Spirit looked at Robin, "I won the bet by the way."

Robin facepalmed, "I forgot about the bet." Aqualad was about to ask what they were talking about when Artemis and Kid Flash walked in. Robin looked at Aqualad, "Do we tell them?"

"It is not our place."

Spirit shrugged, "I'm sure they'll figure it out eventually."

Kid Flash and Artemis walked up to them before the speedster spoke, "So if Zatara is our babysitter of the week then why is he still here, and why is he eating my snacks?"

Kid Flash pointed to Captain Marvel, before anyone could answer him the zeta tubes announced Batman arrival. Batman immediately brought up the national news and Cat Grant was on screen, "The initial attack was short lived. But Metropolis was only granted a short reprieve, and despite the intervention of Superman and the Justice League there seems to be no end in sight."

The video paused and Robin spoke, "Should we get out there?"

Batman looked at him, "No, the League will soon have the situation under control, that's not why I'm here. According to your intel Sportsmaster supplied Cadmus blockbuster's formula to Cobra."

Kid Flash spoke, "Who combined it with Bane's venom to create Cobra venom."

Robin cut in, "Which the Brain used to create his animal army."

Superboy spoke, "And upgrade Wolf."

Miss Martian spoke, "The Brain also used inhibitor collars like the ones at Belle Reve penitentiary."

Artemis spoke, "Batman, is it possible that those plant thingies are on Cobra venom too?"

Batman spoke, "I had Green Lantern run a spot analysis, the vine's cellulose does contain trace amounts of a Cobra venom variant."

Aqualad spoke, "This can not be coincidences, unrelated are cooperating with one another worldwide."

Batman spoke, "Exactly it's now clear our enemies have formed some kind of secret society of super villains, the attack of Metropolis is only the beginning."

Spirit spoke, "So they'll probably start attacking other cities."

Robin spoke, "You got that right, plant creatures have sprouted in Gotham city, Paris, Star City, Taipei-."

Robin was cut off when all of the images suddenly turned to static Batman looked at the screens and Kid Flash spoke, "Dude."

Robin started trying to get the images back, "It's not me, someones cutting the satellite signal, all satellite signals."

Spirit spoke, "Or hijacking them."

As soon as Spirit finished talking Joker's face popped up on the screens, he was smiling while he tapped the camera lens. "Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt your regularly scheduled mayhem to bring this important announcement." Joker moved the camera to point at several other villains, all of which Spirit recognized, "From the Injustice League."

Joker laughed off camera and Count Vertigo spoke, "We are responsible for the attacks on your cities. If you wish to save them a ransom of ten billion american dollars is required, delivery instructions have been sent to the united nations. There is no time limit, but the longer your governments wait-."

Joker turned the camera back to him, "The more we get to have our jollies." Joker once again started laughing before the signal was cut and the screens turned to static. Batman talked to Aquaman on his comm while Robin worked on rewinding the footage, he stopped on a shot of the villains.

Robin named them off, "Count Vertigo, Joker, Poison Ivy, Ultra Humanite, Atomic Skull, Black Atom, Wotan. Seven heavy hitters, probably behind nearly everything and everyone we face."

Spirit stared at the group while Kid Flash spoke, "There's your secret society."

Artemis spoke, "Not so secret anymore."

Aqualad spoke, "Perhaps after India they realized we would deduce the truth and saw no point in hiding any longer."

Kid Flash spoke again, "Yeah, that was their mistake, right now I say we go kick some plant creature butt."

Batman spoke, "The League with take care of the plants, I have a different job for this team."

Kid Flash frowned a little, "Ah man." Artemis hit him and Kid Flash rubbed his arm where he hit her.

Batman spoke again, "With the plants attacking so many locations simultaneously there must be a central control system, your mission is to destroy it."

Zatara spoke, "You realize what you are actually asking them to do."

Batman looked at him, "They're ready."

Kid Flash looked confused, "Ready, ready for what?" Artemis hit him again, "Ow, will you cut that-."

Spirit spoke, "Think about it, the League is going to be fighting the plants, so who do you think we'll have to fight?"

Kid Flash looked even more confused, "I don't know-." Spirit cut him off by pointing at the image of the Injustice League, Kid Flash's eyes widened, "Oh."

Zatara looked at Batman, "Well, Batman, I trust your correct."

Batman looked at him again, "I trust you can locate the enemy."

"Indeed, Wotan's involvement suggests sorcery is part of how the plants are controlled." He looked at Robin, "Robin, if you would provide a holo-map." Robin quickly brought up a holographic image of the world. "I'll search for signs of concentrated sorcerous activity." Zatara used a spell and the magic put Spirit on edge, ghosts could sense magic, because of Spirit's past experiences with it he usually felt anxious.

Ghosts had a naturally strong resistance to magic but he still didn't like it, he was taken out of his thoughts when Zatara spoke. "There, that is where you will find the Injustice League's central control system."

Robin spoke, "Coordinates locked in, the Louisiana bayou."

Aqualad spoke, "We are on our way."

Batman looked at Spirit as a silent way of telling him to stay, the team ran off and Batman had to tell Captain Marvel to stay. Batman looked at Spirit, "Something is bothering you, what is it?"

Spirit mentally sighed, "Doesn't this seem weird to you, after everything this secret organization has pulled off why would they reveal themselves so easily? If they're smart enough to come up with everything else don't you think they'd figure out a way to stay hidden?"

Batman thought about it for a second, "You have a point, we'll keep it in mind but for now we need to handle the Injustice League. I know you're still healing but you'll have to be the team's fall back plan if they can't handle this."

Spirit nodded before leaving the room, as much as he hated to admit it he was like a secret weapon against villains. No one aside from Batman and Robin knew how powerful he was which meant neither the League nor the team knew what he could do. Hopefully he wouldn't have to reveal how powerful he was but if he had to he would, even if there were risks.

Some time later the team was in the bio-ship heading to where the Injustice League was hiding. Kid Flash was eating, Robin was checking the supplies in his utility belt, and Spirit was silently hoping everything would go well. Kid Flash looked at Aqualad, "What's in the duffle?"

Spirit glanced at the bag, Aqualad spoke, "Plan B." Spirit made a mental note to try and make sure he didn't have to use whatever was in that bag, he didn't think he'd like what would happen.

Then he felt something odd, he didn't know what it was but he didn't like it, Superboy looked at Miss Martian, "You alright?"

Miss Martian spoke, "Dizzy."

Spirit wondered if whatever he was feeling was affecting her too, Robin spoke, "Martians get air sick?"

Kid Flash spoke, "She does look a bit greener then usual."

Miss Martian spoke, "Not me, her."

Artemis spoke, "I feel fine."

"Not her, the bio-ship, she's trying to shield us but-." Miss Martian was cut off when the bio-ship started going out of control, not long after that something hit them and they started heading toward the ground. Spirit growled before creating a shield around the ship, they crashed and the impact caused his shield to shatter.

The ship landed in the water before large plant vines grabbed onto the ship and started pulling them under. Before any of them could really react Black Atom tore open the top of the bio-ship and Miss Martian looked like she was in pain, "He's hurting her."

Superboy jumped up and punched Black Atom in the face, the hole in the ship started letting in water and the bio-ship was quickly being submerged. Robin grabbed a re-breather from his belt so he could last longer in the water, Spirit grabbed his hand and they dove into the water. As soon as Miss Martian opened a hatch Aqualad told everyone to get out, Spirit was the last one to swim out.

When they got out of the water they saw the bio-ship get dragged into the water and Miss Martian spoke. "She's in shock, she'll need time to recover."

As soon as she was done talking they got attacked, Spirit felt like his head was splitting in two. Spirit couldn't make out what anyone was saying, he saw Superboy try to attack Vertigo but Black Atom knocked him back down. Aqualad used some of the water to knocked Vertigo down before speaking into the mind link, 'Robin, Miss Martian, Spirit, disappear, we will keep them busy, you three fulfill the mission objective.'

Spirit went invisible while Robin quickly disappeared and Miss Martian went into camouflage mode. Spirit soon caught up to Robin and landed next to him before turning visible, Robin looked at him. "How are you doing so far?"

"Aside from the headache Vertigo gave me and crashing in the bio-ship I'm fine."

Miss Martian soon joined them and they continued walking to where the base was supposed to be. After walking for a while Miss Martian spoke into the mind link, 'I've lost contact with Aqualad and the others, should we-.'

Robin cut her off, 'Sorry that's not the gig, this is.' Robin moved some tree branches out of the way, 'The Injustice Leagues central control system.'

Spirit spoke, 'How much do you want to bet that the plant on top is being used to control the other plants?'

Before either of the others could respond they heard a voice behind them, "Well hello." The three were all grabbed by vines and Ultra Humanite pointed a gun at them, Ivy smirked, "And goodbye."
