Ultra Humanite was about to shoot them but Miss Martian used her powers to make him point at the vines instead of them. He shot the vines and the three escaped, Spirit phased through the ground while Miss Martian and Robin ran. Poison Ivy watched Robin run, "Sorry boy wonder but I'm putting an end to your little reconnaissance mission.

Poison Ivy used more vines to try and catch Robin but the hero dodged her vines, Ultra Humanite tried to shoot Miss Martian but she went invisible and got away. Robin continued to dodge the vines until they managed to knock him down, the vines were about to attack again but Spirit got him out of the way just in time.

Miss Martian flew up to them, 'Robin, Spirit, she's made contact.'

Robin looked slightly confused, 'Artemis?'

Miss Martian smiled, 'No.'

Spirit smirked, 'The bio-ship.' Just then they saw three members of the Injustice League fly over them with a large orange cage, it was obviously made of magic. As they got closer to the Injustice League's control center the bio-ship flew close to Wotan who ended up falling out of the sky. The cage disappeared and the rest of the team fell and landed on the ground, they soon got covered in mud.

Spirit looked at Robin and Miss Martian, 'Alright, I think it's about time we finished this thing.' The two nodded, Spirit grabbed Robin and flew into the air, Miss Martian was a bit surprised that he could fly but didn't say anything. Spirit went invisible so no one could see them and they flew toward the plant on the control center.

Robin handed Spirit and Miss Martian exploding disks and the three started covering the plant with them. Thanks to Spirit vampire speed it didn't take nearly as long as it would have, as soon as the plant was covered he heard Vertigo shout. "Where are the other three?"

Ivy gasped, "My baby." She saw that her plant was covered in what looked like blinking lights, seconds later they exploded and the plant came crashing down.

The three looked at the people below and Spirit spoke, "Timber."

Ivy yelled in anger and sent several of her plants at them, Miss Martian stopped them before she got blasted. Robin and Spirit quickly ran to avoid getting attacked and Joker spoke, "Children, children foiled our plan. Inconceivable, unacceptable, retrebutionable, that last one might not be a word, so sue me."

Vertigo spoke, "Kill them, kill them all." Spirit and Robin ran up to Miss Martian and helped her stand before running from Atomic Skull who tried to blast them.

The team fought the Injustice League and after a few minutes Wotan flew into the air, "Enough." Robin threw several exploding disks at him which didn't do anything because he shielded himself using magic. Wotan hit all of them with lightning and Spirit absorbed it but he wasn't used to storing that much electricity.

Aqualad looked at Miss Martian, "Plan B." Spirit growled, while the bio-ship dropped the bag that Aqualad brought with him Spirit sent the lightning back at Wotan. Spirit attacked him while Aqualad took the helmet of Fate out of the bag and put it on, he heard Kid Flash yell something but he couldn't make out the words.

Wotan managed to push Spirit back and he hit the ground with enough force to daze him, he felt like he might pass out. Robin ran over and lifted his upper body out of the water to see if he was okay, he groaned in pain and Robin looked worried. Then Joker walked up behind Robin and he made his voice sound like a mock imitation of Dr. Fate's, "Wonder boy, you are mine."

Joker then laughed and tried to attack Robin, the hero picked up Spirit and dodged the attack. Robin ended up almost falling because of the water and he dropped Spirit, unfortunately he didn't have time to think about it because Joker kept attacking him. Joker laughed as he did so and Spirit sat up and shook his head a little, now he had a headache.

Joker's smile somehow got wider, "Always wanted to carve this bird."

Spirit ran over and punched him in the face, "Sorry but he's got other plans, we'll have to cancel this little play date." Joker laughed a little before he attacked them both, the duo dodged the crazy clowns attacks and before they could really do anything the Justice League showed up.

Both the team and the Justice League forced the villains together and the heroes surrounded them. Batman spoke, "It's over."

The villains put their hands up and Vertigo looked at Batman, "There will be another day."

Joker spoke, "Another day, another day?! There won't be another day, not for any of us!" He laughed and he had a strange pair of gloves on his hands, large vines emerged from the water and spore sacks grew on them before exploding within a matter of seconds.

Batman shouted, "Joker venom spores, don't breathe."

Spirit quickly knocked the clown out before he heard Dr. Fate speak, "Fear not." Fate proceeded to use his magic to get rid of the spores, when they were gone he spoke again, "Fate has intervened."

Spirit mentally sighed, after the villains were taken away Fate landed on the ground and Kid Flash shouted, "What were you thinking, how could you let him put on the helmet? Nabu will never release him now, Kaldur will be trapped inside Dr. Fate forever."

Spirit glared at the ground, he should have done something, he could have taken down the Injustice League on his own. But because he didn't want to others to know about what he could do he held back and they lost Aqualad because of it. Robin noticed that Spirit was upset and grabbed his hand, he hated it when Spirit was mad at himself.

Spirit looked at Fate just in time to see him take off the helmet, Spirit's eyes widened and he felt relieved. He didn't even hear what anyone was saying because it felt like he could breathe again. Robin sighed in relief and smiled when he saw that Spirit wasn't upset anymore, he actually smiled a little.

After that they finally went back to the mountain, Spirit wanted to get the mud off of him, it was uncomfortable. After telling Batman what happened they were all allowed to go home, Batman and Robin had Spirit go to the batcave. Since he was technically still healing he had to stay with them, he could go back to his hideout when all of his injuries were healed.

After Alfred checked his injuries, while Spirit insisted that he was fine, he went to take a shower. When he got out he felt a lot better because there wasn't any mud clinging to his skin, if only a shower could get rid of his headache. When he was dressed he walked out of the bathroom and Richard was waiting for him, he looked a little worried.

Richard looked at him, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, just tired."

Richard didn't look convinced, "You got upset when we thought Fate wasn't going to let Aqualad go." Danny looked away and Richard frowned before he grabbed Danny's hand and they walked to Richard's bedroom. Once they were inside Richard closed the door and they both sat on the bed, Richard looked at Danny, "What's wrong?"

Danny mentally sighed, "You and I both know that I could have taken down the Injustice League on my own. But when the team was getting beaten I didn't do anything because I didn't want them to know about what I can do. Because of that Aqualad put on the helmet and if Fate hadn't let him go it would have been my fault."

Richard frowned before he hugged Danny, "It wouldn't have been your fault, none of it was your fault. I know you don't want people to know about what you can do, after they tried to make you a weapon you have a good reason to not want anyone to know."

Danny didn't even realize that he had started crying until Richard wiped his tears away and kissed him. Danny hated his past, he would say he would have rather die but he already did that, not even death would let him escape from them. Richard hugged Danny until he fell asleep, he knew that Danny's past affected him more then he admitted.

Richard mentally sighed and laid Danny down on the bed before laying next to him, and holding him close. He hoped to whatever twisted forces existed that Danny would never have to go through that again.
