It was Halloween, to say that Halloween wasn't always fun for Spirit was a serious understatement. Since it was Halloween supernatural creatures tended to become incredibly active, especially on Halloween night. He had a system set up to keep track of any incidents that happened involving said creatures, including ghosts.

Ever since he woke up he's been dealing with one problem after another, he was already exhausted and it wasn't even five in the afternoon yet. He got a call from Miss Martian at around four, he sighed before he answered it, "Hello."

Miss Martian sounded happy, "Spirit, there's going to be a Halloween party at my school, do you want to come?"

Fright Knight walked in and he gestured that he would need a minute, "Sorry but I'm a little busy, I'm not sure when I'll be free."

Miss Martian seemed a little sad, "That's too bad, if you end up being free later then call."

Spirit nodded, "Sure, I've got to go but thanks for the invite." Spirit hung up and looked at Fright Knight, "What's up?"

Fright Knight stood at attention, "There was a rogue vampire attack in New York."

Spirit let his head fall onto his desk and a loud bang could be heard, he sighed before he looked at Fright Knight. "Thanks, I'll handle it."

Fright Knight left and Spirit got up, after handling an incredibly irritating vampire and someone they turned, he went back to his office. He didn't use his office a lot but when he did he was usually incredibly busy and needed a place to concentrate. He just had to get through the rest of the day, then he could relax and hopefully not deal with too many other cases over the next week.

Over the next several hours he had to organize small teams to deal with a situation, call other rulers to deal with their people, and handle more cases. So far about eleven people had been turned into vampires, four into werewolves, gotten three reported ghost attacks, as well as other problems. When he finally got a short break for a few minutes he got some food from the kitchen and sat down to eat.

After only taking one bite of his food he got a call, he was going to be so pissed if he had to head out again, he hadn't eaten all day. He picked up the phone, "Make it quick."

Batman didn't sound happy, "Spirit."

Spirit leaned back in his seat and continued eating, "Oh it's just you, sorry I've been getting calls all day."

Then he heard Robin, "Did something happen?"

Spirit paused for a second, "Am I on speaker phone, who else is there?"

Batman spoke, "Yes you're on speaker phone but we're the only two here, now answer the question."

Spirit mentally sighed, "Just the typical Halloween problems, this is the second time I've had to do this."

Robin spoke, "Oh yeah, it's been over two years since you started ruling."

Spirit rubbed his eyes, "I actually forgot about that, so why exactly are you calling?"

Batman spoke, "We've been getting a few reports about people getting attacked by strange creatures, do you need help handling everything?"

Spirit shook his head, "I've got it under control, mostly, so don't worry about it, if you're that concerned you can send me whatever reports you get so I can handle it."

Batman mentally sighed, "Just be careful, it's dangerous right now."

Spirit smirked, "I'll be fine, I'm not an idiot." Spirit rubbed his eyes again, "Anyway I have to go, I'll call if something happens." Spirit hung up and almost immediately after that he got another call, this was going to be a really long day.
