Superboy turned to Aqualad, "There's something I need to do, there's something I need to tell you. Last month, on Thanksgiving, I went back to Cadmus, found a few things out, when I was cloned only half the DNA was Superman's. Half the DNA was human, that's why I don't have, will never have, full kryptonian powers."

Robin smiled, "You sure, cause you sure seemed to have them today."

Superboy looked away before he lifted the right sleeve of his shirt, "I've been using these. Shields, they suppress my human DNA, I get the flight, the heat vision, but I think I also get angry, well, angrier, I'm sorry."

Aqualad looked at him seriously, "Where did you get those?"

Superboy looked away again before pulling out a metal case, "From my human father, Lex Luthor."

Everyone looked shocked, even Spirit was a bit surprised, the halfa knew Superboy was half human because of his base scent. Still he had no idea Luthor was his father, Robin seemed to be thinking something similar, "Lex Luthor, is your dad?!"

Superboy looked serious, "He summoned me to Santa Prisca."

Artemis groaned, "Listen, Superboy's not the only one suffering from bad DNA." Artemis walked a few feet away from the group and activated the holo-computer before quickly typing a few things in and some pictures popped up. "My mother is Huntress, an ex con, the rest of my family aren't even ex, my dad's Sportsmaster, and he's sending my sister, Cheshire, to fly me to Santa Prisca too."

Kid Flash's eyes widened, "That's why..."

Artemis looked away, "Yeah, I was so desperate to make sure none of you found out."

Robin smiled, "Spirit and I knew."

Everyone looked shocked and Spirit shrugged, "He's a detective and I have connections to ghosts, but it doesn't matter."

Robin nodded, "He's right, you aren't your family, you're one of us."

Artemis looked away and smiled, Kid Flash walked up to her and put a hand on her shoulder. "So, who's next?"

Miss Martian looked at the ground, "I am."

Kid Flash put his hands up in surrender, "I swear I was kidding."

Miss Martian ignored his comment, "Queen Bee's been blackmailing me, she wants me in Santa Prisca too."

Aqualad looked confused, "Blackmailing, how?"

Miss Martian wouldn't look at any of them, "She knows my true martian form."

Robin spoke, "Bald Megan, who cares if-."

Miss Martian cut him off, "No." She took a deep breath before she morphed, everyone took a few steps back due to their shock. The only one that didn't was Spirit, sure he was surprised but he had seen enough unbelievable things in his life that this didn't bother him that much.

He briefly wondered if there was something wrong with him because of it but he figured if there was he couldn't do anything about that. Miss Martian looked around before hugging herself, "I realized you would never accept me if you saw what I really am."

Spirit gave her a slightly sad look, he could understand how she felt, probably more then anyone in the room. Aqualad spoke, "Megan, did we truly seem so shallow?"

Miss Martian saw the understanding look Spirit was giving her, she didn't know why he seemed to understand though. She looked away and stared at the floor, "I couldn't take the chance, being a white martian among the green on Mars I endured constant rejection, I couldn't face that from-."

Superboy spoke, "From me?" Superboy walked over to her and held her hand, he guessed they were talking into the mind link.

After a minute Miss Martian transformed back and Zatanna spoke, "So what do we do now?"

Aqualad thought for a minute before he came up with a plan, a few hours later they were all heading toward Santa Prisca. Most of the team had already found places to hide on the island close to where the villains were supposed to meet up. Superboy was the first to show up, Luthor and Queen Bee were already there waiting for him, as well as Luthor's assistant Mercy.

Sportsmaster, Blockbuster, as well as Bane and his people showed up not long after. Each of them quickly put together that the Injustice League was a cover up for Luthor and his associates. Spirit could truthfully say he called it, he might not have known what exactly was going on but he knew the Injustice League was a distraction.

Artemis was the next to show up, she arrived in a helicopter, not even a minute later Miss Martian showed up in the bio-ship. The heroes listened and waited, hopefully the three would be able to fool the villains but they'd have to wait and see. After a bit it became clear that Luthor figured out that Superboy was trying to play him because Superboy froze.

Kid Flash wanted to go in but Spirit stopped him, they had to wait, they had to wait for their signal. Blockbuster started walking up to Superboy, Artemis's eyes narrowed before she shot an arrow at the freak science experiment. Blockbuster got trapped in green foam, Miss Martian soon lifted Artemis into the air using her powers.

She used the distraction to cause Queen Bee to hit a tree which knocked her out, Artemis shot an arrow at Sportsmaster and Cheshire right after. Superboy could stop pretending he was frozen since Queen Bee was now unconscious and couldn't control him. When Superboy went to attack Luthor Blockbuster had gotten out of the foam and stopped him before he could do anything.

Miss Martian was being shot at by Bane's men and Artemis was trying to defend herself against her advancing family members. Artemis spoke into the mind link, 'Guys, reinforcement time.'

Everyone quickly moved to help their struggling teammates, Rocket and Kid Flash helped take down Bane's men within seconds. Aqualad stopped Luthor from taking the unconscious Queen Bee and leaving but Mercy quickly defended the villains. More of Bane's men continued to shoot at Miss Martian, Robin and Spirit took them out, Zatanna used her magic to tie up the one they missed.

Spirit saw Luthor get away soon after but he couldn't think about that for long because Bane attacked them. He managed to grab Robin and get him out of harms way, Spirit used his powers to throw Zatanna out of Bane's way. He then figured out what he did, he had been working on moving objects, it looked like his training was continuing to pay off.

Despite Spirit moving Zatanna out of the way she was still down, he and Robin fought Bane who seemed to be going on a rampage. Bane managed to grab Robin and throw him at a helicopter, Spirit growled at the villain as Zatanna used a spell to create three copies of Robin. Spirit made two duplicates of himself, yet another power he had been working on, and attacked Bane.

Working together with Robin and his clones they managed to get close enough to disconnect the tube feeding the drugs into his body. Robin used his taser to shock the villain and knock him unconscious before going to see if Spirit was okay. The halfa had distracted Bane but took a few hits and since he gained the injuries of his duplicates took even more damage.

Spirit shook his head a little before getting up, with a bit of help from Robin, and the other soon beat the villains they were fighting. Spirit realized that his side hurt and when he put a hand on his ribs he found that two of them were broken. He mentally sighed and walked over to the others with his bird, Artemis and Kid Flash soon joined them.

Rocket spoke sounding a bit happy, "It is always like this."

Zatanna smiled, "Told you."

Robin couldn't help but smile, "Hey, disaster averted, feeling the aster." No one noticed that Robin decided to hold Spirit's hand at this point, the couple feeling happy the fight was over.

Aqualad spoke, "Agreed, this has been a good day."

Everyone looked happy, even Spirit looked slightly happy despite the fact that he wasn't smiling. The team eventually went back to the mountain and once they got there Spirit sat on the couch as he quietly sighed. Aside from his broken ribs he didn't have any injuries that wouldn't heal soon so he was happy about that.

Robin sat down next to him and kissed him on the cheek when no one else was looking, they were looking forward to relaxing a little.
